One time Sandy was asked to give a speech at a leadership conference in Vail, Colorado. She was SO nervous. Stomach in butterflies, nervous at the thought of not doing a good job.
A mentor could sense her nervous energy and asked how she was doing before her speech, and upon hearing that Sandy was nervous she told her, "Sandy, you got asked to do this for a reason. This isn't about you. You're here to serve. If you're nervous you're making it a bout you and your ego."
That stuck with her. And she felt compelled to share that message with you today!
