After the hearing, I was at a crossroads. Would I remain in the public eye or retreat. Would I be an educator or a crusader. In the end,
I didn't have to choose. These days, I teach social policy in law, I authored books and articles, and educate on issues of race and gender. But there are still so many questions that keep me up at night, like how do we solve systemic cultural problems and hold each other accountable for creating positive change.
