Donkey Ollie is asked to rescue slave children from the Isle of Patmos. Silas appeals to him for help when his own horse grow weary and can no longer pull the wagon load of ransom treasure. Donkey Ollie remembers Apostle John from years earlier and takes his whole family on the rescue.Along the way they are ambushed by a rockslide from desperate bandits and their merciless crow Meller. Ollie takes the time to help his three young sons through the struggles as they overcome the rockslide and the bandits. Just when it seems they are battling impossible odds, Rupert hooks up with their old friend, the Shebite boat captain who offers a vessel for the rescue of the children. The Romans pursue the escaped children in a large galley, raining down fire arrows, but with everyone praying and Rupert and Smoothfeathers quick defensive manouvers, they are no match for Ollie and friends.
