Sanders creates a mini-tournament favoring the Thrillers to determine the new #1 contender for the WCW Hardcore Championship . Sanders also makes himself the #1 contender for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and softens up Cruiserweight champ Elix Skipper with the helpt of Kronik. Mike Tenay conducts a sit down interview with the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion Vince Russo. Lex Luger returns and teams up with General Hugh G. Rection to take on Lance Storm and Jeff Jarrett.
