Get A G.R.I.P. on your thought life! We shouldn't walk around letting our emotions produce negative thoughts that eventually may turn into negative actions. We are better than that! We have the mind of Christ and we have the fruit of the Spirit of self-control, so let's use what has been given to us!
Tighten your G.R.I.P. on Jesus and the word of God and your G.R.I.P. on anger will become less and less and you will receive His peace.

The Fruit of the Spirit for today is "Goodness". Let us take a bite of goodness and see what it tastes like for believers who say they are indwelt with the Holy Spirit. How is goodness demonstrated in your life? Are you good to some and not to others? If that is the case in your life, then you are not being led by the Holy Spirit and He does not have complete control of your life.
There are nine fruit of the Spirit and "Kindness" is the fifth one. We have all nine of the fruit within us, but we must choose to display them in our every day lives. We don't need to pray for them or pray for more of them; we only need to use what we've already been given. Why should the Holy Spirit give us more of what we're not using? Got Fruit? Yes!
God's grace is readily available to us for the asking. He withholds no good thing from us and His grace is good! For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. (Psalm 84:11)
If we can believe in a God that we can't see to save us, then we can believe that the same God will do what he says he will do and therefore we can wait with patience. We can be patient with ourselves and with others. The fruit is in us if we are a child of God; we just need to use it!
Some of us might not want to nibble on this fruit, but to take a big chunk out of it! Sometimes it's hard to hold your peace, but we have the ability to do so with the help of Holy Spirit living inside of us. Not to mention that our savior Jesus Christ himself is the prince of peace! We can activate that peace in any circumstance if we choose to do so.
Is the joy of the Lord your strength? Have you activated the fruit of joy in your life? Are you joyful only when things are going good in your life or can you still have joy when life is giving you lemons?
Let's talk about the fruit of the spirit Love! Have you done a "Fruit Check" lately to make sure your fruit is still operating properly? Has your fruit gotten rotten? Are you walking and talking with love? Let's talk about it.
What kind of odor are we emulating when we walk into a room? What scent are we leaving afterwards? When people mention your name, does the mention of your name leave a sweet smelling aroma? Let's talk about it!
When is silence golden? When we are tempted to say something that we know will hurt the other person, silence is definitely golden. But what about when God is silent? Do we still think silence is golden or do we get bent out of shape when it seems like God isn't speaking? What goes on in our heads when God doesn't say a mumbling word? (Like the old folks would say, Lol!)
How many of us have some "What If's" in our lives that caused us to regret something we said or done? What if I had listened more and talked less? What if I had been more patient? There are a number of reasons we have regrets, so what are some of yours? But, know that God doesn't want us to live a life of regrets and He has a way out for us.

What is the truth? Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. We must as Christian Soldiers know the truth and believe the truth and keep it fastened close to us so as not to be swayed by any other doctrine or lies. Without the truth of God's word, we can't stand firm against anything!
Thank God for giving us an armor in which to protect us from the enemy's fiery darts and schemes! We have weapons in which to defend ourselves and The Breastplate of Righteousness is used to protect our vital organs and one very important organ is our heart. A blow to the heart can be fatal, but thanks be to God who did not leave us defenseless, this breastplate protects this vital organ. Get ready to "Suit Up" my brothers and sisters!
We have been given spiritual weapons, an entire armor to wear when fighting the battles that enter into our lives. We have the full armor of God, so get ready to "Suit Up" my brothers and sisters! We have our helmet of salvation to protect our heads from receiving deadly wounds. To God be the glory!

How is your peace today? What stops you from having peace in your life? In Christ Jesus, we have peace because He left it for us to get a grip on, so what's stopping us?
There are times in our lives when we become weak and we need the strength of our friends to stand in the gap for us. But, we also need to be mindful that no one can replace the strength of God's Holy Spirit that resides in us!
Today we will take a look into this acronym the Lord gave me for Hope. Each letter describes the character of God! We must have our hope in God in order to make it through perilous times.
