We look in detail at the well-worn story of the woman with the issue of blood. The hem of His robe she touched was probably the tzittzit, a religious ornament worn on the bottom of a garment. The ornamentation was deeply tied to identity and has Old Testament precedent in a story of Samuel and then of Saul.
