Bright Lights - Audio

Over the years, we've had a tendency (as the church) to focus our energy and effort on issues that, in hindsight, weren't all that important. We get riled by books (like Harry Potter) or politicians (like Al Gore) or even haircuts (boys…keep it short). But every time we become obsessed with issues like these, we end up creating an image problem for the church. Today's message is all about the role of the church…and keeping the “main thing” the main thing. It's not enough to simply “be” the church…it's important that we're illuminating what God wants us to. So what's the one word that could sum up the role of the church? A walk through Exodus and Revelation gives us that word.
