Does knowing personality type help with problem solving and decision making? YES! All of the eight cognitive functions help you get a different perspective into reality, thus unlocking different problem-solving tools and perspectives.

In this video, I quickly explained the eight cognitive functions in a simple, jargon-free way to get you started on your journey of personal growth. Descriptions of the Perceiving processes - Sensing and iNtuition, and of the Judging processes - Thinking and Feeling are explained in enough detail to understand what they do and get you further on your journey of self-discovery.

I often think of all eight cognitive functions as different \"characters\" working within your psyche trying to offer advice to help with problem-solving and decision-making. By simply listening to these cognitive functions, you can hear perspectives that'll help you get past your problems. The issue is actually taking the steps that the voices within you suggest. I suppose that's part of the hero's journey.
