Rescued from Fear to Faith

In 2 Timothy 1:7 Paul says “for God gave us a Spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” It is this truth that we are encouraged and empowered by as we remember that if God is for us then who could be against us. There is plenty in this world that could cause us all to have great fear. Things that seem out of our control, out of our abilities, or out of our comfort zones. Jesus said in John 16:33 that we are those who can be of courage because He has overcome the world. We live with assurance that we have been rescued from all our fears and this empowers us to live a life of great faith.
