Episode description

The Roman Empire valued life, as long as that life helped in them furthering their agenda in the world. In Acts 16 we see Paul and Silas in prison for their faith and they decide it is a good time to sing worship songs to God. As they are singing God miraculously breaks them free, but as they are leaving, they see the Roman guard ready to take his own life for letting them escape. Paul and Silas could have run but instead they stopped the man, valued his life and led this man (and his whole household) to a greater identity in Jesus. As Christians we value all life because Jesus values all life. We follow the lead of the early church as we seek to push back against this worlds view of life and introduce this world to a brand new identity in Jesus.
