Hope for Purpose Midweek (Phillips)

The definition for purpose is “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.” It says in Luke 2 that the Shepherds were doing what Shepherds do. They were fulfilling their purpose as they sat out in the fields watching their flocks at night. It was while they were doing what they felt they were supposed to do that God showed them what they were made to do. In a powerful moment of time the Shepherds saw that there was something far greater than themselves and they had to be a part of it! Jesus is the greatest thing that a person could live for. If your life feels like it lacks meaning, drive or purpose this week we look to Jesus and we see that He is our only Hope for true unending Purpose.
