While Scripture clearly teaches that it is possible to fall from grace (Galatians 5:4; I Timothy 1:19-20), it also teaches that we can know that we are going to heaven (I John 5:13). How can we be confident in our Christianity without being overconfident (I Corinthians 10:12)? Does a lack of confidence in our salvation hurt the work of the church?
