When Money is not being converted into dresses or food, it is chilling in the bank account. And just like humans, money doing nothing will make it dormant. So we have ways to make the money work for ourselves- via investments, insurances, funds, bonds, and whatnot. Now, our hosts aren't experts on the subject matter but they do have an important underlying message for all of us- that saving is necessary. Whether you save for a rainy day metaphorically or to witness a beautiful rainy day in Costa Rica/Hawaii for real; putting aside a part of your earning is always beneficial.
