this Monday night. Oh man, it's another victory Monday, just like we like it. We've got three hours to break it down coaches, players, analysis and more of a Bengal seventeen thirteen win over the Seahawks. Now on the Buy next up the forty nine ers on Lance Pacallister. He's Dave Lappham. The things we have to sort through today for a game that it started

out like a track meet. It was like well, buckle up, touchdown, opening drive on each team, and then it turned into a lockdown defensively and it morphed into repeated red zone low red zone stops by Lows crew, which might ultimately be one of the finest defensive red zone performances you'll ever lay your eyes on. Added up to a huge win, and now three and three never looks so good considering where we once were with this football team.

The red zone defense obviously was the story of the football game. Just an unbelievable effort, unbelievable performance in that regard. The offensively, like you said, started out like a track meet. The first two drives took less than eighteen minutes or less than eighteen minutes into the football game, seventeen minutes and change, twenty four snaps, one hundred and forty four yards, fourteen points

on the board, six yards of play. The remaining thirty two minutes of the game twenty nine snaps seventy yards, three points, two point four yards per play, not per run, we're talking per play. So it wasn't even a Charles Dickens tailor two halves. It was a Charles Dickens fiasco. After eighteen minutes, man, it was crazy. And now three and three on the by chance to get healthy. Clearly some things to work on and clean up. But considering where they were and what was going on with Joe's

caff and the uncertainty and losing in the division. It's starting oh to two. You'll take your chances at three and three with a chance to get healthy and now face what remains of the schedule. No doubt, I wish we

played the NFC West every week three and oh against the NFC West. Can't beat anybody else at this stage, and we've talked about it before the next game they play is the last NFC West team, the Samanisco forty nine ers, who proved themselves human by going up to Cleveland and losing that football game. But Bengals have to start stacking some AFC wins and stacking some division wins. They've put themselves behind the eight ball there on three in the AFC on

two in the division. It's nice to get wins, don't get me wrong. You got you gotta get vic, But there are some wins are more important than others in terms of tiebreaker. Obviously, they have to start getting some work down on those. David. I love the fact that we're gonna work through all sides and facets of this game through the next three hours and hear from players. But I think of Tyler Boyd coming up with a touchdown

catch, yuci Vash with a touchdown catch. Defensively, the number of different contributors, and if you're going to win in this league week to week and deal with injuries, you're gonna need everybody on a roster to step up. I know it's cliche to say it's a team thing. It was a team thing yesterday for this team. It was there. There's no doubt, and they're having to lean on everybody. Yep, no question about it. Honestly, when you look at the second half possessions for the Seattle Seahawks, it's

just it's mind blowing. Really. They had one drive, actually two drives. One drive eight plays fifty six yards, ends with the red zone interception.

The last play from Scrimmers is at the Cincinnati eighteen yard line. They go on another eight play thirty two yard drive and they settle for a field goal and hold a bul their necks and at the five yard line in field goal, four plays twenty yards, interception, four plays fifteen yards, punt, ten plays fifty yards they get the last snap was at the six yard line. Hold them on downs six plays forty six yards. The last snap

from Scrimmers the nine yard line. Hold them on downs. That is just unbelievable to have, in my opinion, three turnovers, three takeaways in the red zone, an interception in the red zone, hold them on downs twice in the red zone, and then they kick a field goal and score a touch on five red zone possessions. Ten points, two points per. It's gonna win you a lot of football games, Lamps, no doubt about that. Let's get the first of many reactions throughout this evening of Bengals conversation.

It up with the coach and Dave's here's Zach Taylor, coach. This falls into the category of the old slaveynknocker Man. There was some physical football going on out there today, wasn't there? There was, you know, and I'm really proud of our defense. They found ways to stop them on those drives, a little red zone, got some turnovers for us. Just really proud of those guys the way they rose up and met the challenge today.

Red zone, twice on downs, interception, they kicked a field goal, they score a touchdown, they get ten points on five red zone possessions. You guys are in the red zone twice, scored two touchdowns. Ballgame right there, kind of decided in that red zone. Yeah, we figured it would be. You know, it felt strange first half. Offense had three possessions going in that two minute drive, so you knew it was going to be one of those games where it was going to come down to turnovers.

It was going to come down a red zone efficiency and I think that hold out. So did they make any adjustments from your first two drives boom boom, two touchdowns? Did they make any adjustments? It was just a tick off execution wise or a combination, you know. I know that third drive we came a yard short into fourth down, we complete a third down three, just just a couple of inches short of the sticks. Came out in the second half and felt the same. I think they stopped us in a

third and one, you know. So so again, there were some moments there where it just came down to the yard and you couldn't get it going, and then we just didn't do a great job staying and sync there late third quarter, early fourth quarter. That that part we certainly got improved and look at and figure out what the reasons why we were. But fortunately our defense was able to step up the rise of the challenge. You talk about

complimentary football a lot. The defense gets scored on. You guys come right down the field and even it up. When Joe had an interception, you come right back. Mike Hilton gets one. I mean, the complementary football stuff started to show itself, didn't it. It's huge. And again when you're playing a team like that that's got a great running game, got a really good defense. Checked that. Check the turnovers and see who won the tournament battle and we won two to one, and you win by three points

and there's no there's no chakra there. How that thing usually turns out. So proud of our guys for bean able to get those two takeaways. You got important third phase special teams. They've been dominating people longfield short field. I mean every time I look to tape the opponents on a long field and they get the ball like midfield or better. Today, I thought that long field short field, you guys competed pretty well in that area. I did, aside from one that kind of got out on us. I thought we

did a good job. Good job with the plants, good job with the coverage, and gave ourselves a really good chance there. So you go into the buy with a three and three record, crawl out of the mini hole. You know, start one and three and now you're three and three. What how big a difference does that make going into the by coming off two wins like this, you don't want to go into the buy with the loss. You don't want to turn on the TV. You don't want to be

watching these other games. So I think just peace of mind and being able to get rejuvenated a little bit. You know, it's a we've gone through training camp, We've gone through six games now, you know, so it feels like you've been going at it for a while. So I think this by hits us at the right time. Get a chance to get healthy, refresh ourselves a little bit, and come back and get ready for San fran So what is the what's the your schedule, like, what does it look

like you're gonna get the players quite a bit of time? Or what's your mindset with respect to them? Buy? Yeah, well, we'll clean this game up tomorrow and give those guys a chance to get healthy and get a bonus day of the following Monday. Coaches will get a head start I think on the upcoming opponent. I know on the upcoming component, I don't think, and so that'll be good for us to get an opportunity to go on the road and find a way to get a big win. Coming opponent in

San Francisco. Forty nine ers Cleveland Brown showed they're mortal. There's no question about that. I mean, it's a football team that you've played, the type of football that Cincinnati Bengals can play. You guys can beat anybody. I haven't watched any of them yet, but we'll see how it goes. But again, I like where the teams at right now mentally and physically, and so we'll be ready to go. Zach Taylor on a seventeen to thirteen win. And now the buy and a chance to self scout and do what's

done traditionally during the buying. I didn't realize it until this morning. The forty nine Ers play on Monday Night football next week right at Minnesota, so they have they travel, They have a short week before coming back home to host the Bengals. So maybe the forty nine ers have a complaint about that, have no complaints about that whatsoever? No, I don't as well.

I just wish Cleveland wasn't the one to knock them off, ma, I mean, because you know, that really gives Cleveland a win that people are going to be very envious of, because you know, you're playing the forty nine ers, who I think are playing the best of any team in the National Football League. They're number two in points scored, number one in points allowed. And that's what the game is all about, is how many you

score and how many you hold the other guy to. Even after this loss in Cleveland, they're still in that in that area, second scoring and first stopping opponents. So I wish the Bengals were the first team to knock him off, quite honestly, rather than Cleveland. But it is what it is, and uh, we'll see. We'll see how how the forty nine ers they get beaten up a little bit too. Yeah, they did, they

they they get nicked up. I mean you both, Samuel McCaffrey. That's two huge pieces to the to the offensive puzzle for the San Francisco forty nine ers. For sure. We'll talk more about those niners later on in our third hour tonight Still ahead in this hour, QB one, Joe Burrow, Sam Hubbard, Cam Taylor Britt and a host of others as we make our every way through a victory Monday. Thanks for being here with us, Settlee and we got you till nine. It's Bengals Line on the First Star Logistics

Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW. Hey, we're back on Bengals Line on this Monday night, Lance McAlister, Dave Lapham, sorting through yesterday, looking ahead to the buy and then out of the by the forty nine ers. The show is Bengals Line. We're on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW, and it's time to make the right call. Courtesy Blake Maisland, who's about the law offices of Blake Maisland and Leuan Rumo

was at it again. A lot of different configurations up front. He had four linebackers on in the field. He had his Dime package on on the field, he had his Nickel package on on the field. He had a bunch of packages on the field. Pressure packages extraordinary, disguising coverages extraordinary. And he made a great call on this one second and nine at the Seattle thirty six yard line in the fourth quarter, Geno Smith tries to go deep

to Tgate DK metcalf and Cam Taylor Britt intercepts of the football. Two interceptions in two games for the young cornerback, plus he gets up and returns at twenty four yards. That's two and a half first downs. Basically, the offense didn't have to worry about. The good thing is it didn't do a damn thing. Three straight in completions. They didn't get an inch, and

onto the field comes McPherson to kick a fifty two yard field goal. If the ball is not returned that interception is not returned by Cam Taylor Britt for twenty four yards, they get nothing out of that takeaway. Huge play by Cam Taylor Britt. Let's talk some offense in QB one Joe Burrow twenty five or twenty four of thirty five passing one hundred and eighty five yards, two touchdowns of the one pick, quarterback rating of eighty eight point four. Here's

Joe Burrow after the game. Oh, complimentary football joke? Is that the perfect example of your offense going early? Defense carries a day late. Yeah, that was you know, our defense stepped up big second half. Uh, you know, offense was really good in the first half. We were horrible in the second half, So we just got to be able to put put together a complete game. What changed after those first few drays. We'll

watch the tape and see what's going to your mind. Late when when the defense inside the ten, trying to keep them out of the end zone. I know you're sure, you're confident. Yeah, I knew they were gonna make a play, but all at the same time, knew we had opportunities on offense to put them away when we didn't. Obviously, getting the win

is the most important pain. But was it disappointing for you guys to feel like you took a major step forward last year with the passing last week with your passing intact, then first half exactly what you wanted then to not be able to consistently carry that through this fine week. Yeah, there were definitely points, like I said, opportunities that we had we didn't capitalize on. Uh, but we got the win. It's a lot easier to fix things

when you're three and thre than if you had lost this one. So uh, never gonna apologize for a win given to be three. Yeah, bye, week's coming in a good time. Get some guys healthy, Uh, come back. We gotta we got to grind ahead of us, so we got to get better. What was going right in the first couple of drives show, well we were, we were making plays, we were executing at a high level. Uh. Second half we went did did they do anything

to change your rhythm? Did you feel a different tempo to the game starting in the second hand? Yeah, you got to give them credit. They they made some adjustments that uh worked, worked for them, and we didn't. We didn't capitalize on our opportunities in the second half. Did you say short yard? She is up top of the list of things you need face in the second half? This many fact five one of many. Well, how would you how would you probably get off that first? Not where we

want to be? Not where we want to be. We've had we've had moments, but we just got to put it all together. So we'll we'll evaluate this week and go from there. Do they want to give your heads off to get the ball? Rounder? No? I knew it was his first one, though. What uh kind of confidence that you have in this depense? In a game like that, you're on the sideline, games on the line, the third work down, they're near the goal line. What's what's that like for you? Yeah, it's uh, you know, like

I said, I'm confident in their ability to get the job done. But you know, just kept reflecting on the moments that we had opportunities to to put that game away when we didn't take advantage of Like you have words with Jamal Adams in the first half. Did you take an exception to that hit? No, that was just two tigers talking. It wasn't anything crazy. Joe back here, Joe Mason said this week, you get everything's still ahead of his team. You guys are still right on track. You feel that

way? So good about where you are right now? The one ing of to buy. Yeah, I feel good. Everything's ahead of us. You know, it's a big win. We like I said, we gotta get better. Though. What do you think of Jamar's game? I didn't see it. It's that chain did seem I like it? Then? Is there a lot of conversation on the sideline or more so when things aren't going well between you pitch, you know, Zach even to try and get things right

in a second man half. I would say there's more, you know, there's always dialogue going on talking about what we're seeing, what we want what we what we think can work, so that's always going on. Zach called this winning ugly. There's winning ugly to help, particularly the leader in the season. Don't be good call back our game with us. Well, when the win's a win, you know, like I said, I'll never apologize for a win, but win or loss, there's always room to improve.

Are you almost less happy or excited right now than you would be if it was the other way? And you guys have lit it up in the second half as well. I mean, I'm I'm never gonna I've learned winning is too hard in this league to not appreciate wins, so I'm gonna enjoy it. But like I said, there's still a lot of room to improve, in a lot of room to grow. Joe Burrow talking about a seventeen thirteen win over the Seahawks, he started, like the proverbial else of fire.

He was fifteen for fifteen in a row, one point seventeen of nineteen in his stretch, and that included one that Joe Mixon dropped. He was rolling right from the shoot, and then we've referenced the second half. It became a bit of a different story. But man, they first two drives, it was smooth as could be. In my eye, it looked like and particularly looking at it again after I got home, in the first early stages of the football game, they were playing those soft zones they're known for,

and he was shredding them. He was ripping them up. They started to go with a little bit more pressure and some press coverage, some man coverage and changed up what they had done from a structure standpoint defensively, and the Bengals never really made great adjustments to that. I mean, they didn't win on routes consistently enough. Their protection became an issue with all the pressure that they were bringing. They were bringing a lot of different bodies in a lot

of different ways. It became a chess match of which defensive coordinator can come up with the most clever, uh pressure package, And and that definitely curtailed what Joe Burrow was doing. For sure. We've got less than a minute in this segment, but Joe took some hits, I mean some hit and some hits that I thought, you know, where where's the flag right? And DJ Reader got the shaft, I thought, you know, quarterback sack takes him to the ground. And he didn't land right on top of him.

I mean he didn't try to like bury his and follow the natural follow through taking him to the ground. He had a picture perfect form tackle where you hit with your shoulder, you wrap your arms, and you go to the ground. And the quarterback was part of his body was underneath him as he went to the ground. And I'll tell you what it h at. Football purists scoff at that one. That's ridiculous. That was that was unbelievable call. Still add more on the defense. We'll hear from Sam Hubbard up

next Old Monster Day for him of the defense that is. We continue with Bengals Life, first Stur Logistics Bengals Radio Network in seven hundred Hey, let's keep it moving on this Monday night of Bengals Conversation. We are knee deep now into the Bengals Talk on this Monday edition of Bengals Line, the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW Lance by Allister Dave Lepham,

Sir Lance. In this portion of Bengals Line presented by Kettering Health, the official healthcare provider of the Cincinnati Bengals and pay Course Stadium providing the best care for the best fans. Sam Hubbard, big big day for the Bengals. Let's hear from Sam. Here's Sam Hubbard with Dave here in the Victoria's Bengals locker room with defense and ends. Sam Hubbard and Sam down the stretch. I mean, the pass rush was extraordinary. Coverage was a big assist there

too. Cover well on the back end. The rush is going to get home. And that's exactly what took place down the stretch. Yeah, just a grind man, liked of Emperor by everybody. You know, nothing more to say than I'm proud of these guys. Five trips in the red zone three times, they scored no points. You guys had an interception in the red zone. You stopped them on downs twice in the red zone, they kicked the field goal, scored a touchdown. Five red zone possessions, ten

points. It's gonna win you a lot of football games if we did it this week. We got a big challenge after the buy. We're gonna enjoy this one for twenty four hours and look forward to getting our bodies right for San Francisco. So this offense, what was the what was the key to shutting this offense down. What do you have to do to take this this offense out of their game. You gotta be physical, we gotta be gaps sound. Their run game is an incredible you know, really great weapons on

the outside. We had to play our best defense tackling wise, fundamental wise, and get some turnovers. And we did that today. You guys played complimentary football when the when the offense had to step up their first two possessions they did score. You. You backed the offense up when it needed you, answer the offense back to defense up when you guys needed them. It

was a good signed seat complimentary football like that today. Yeah, definitely, And we know there's gonna be a time where we're not playing our best in the offense is gonna pick us up. And that's a beauty of being on a good team with good players and good people that want to play for each

other. And it's fun being out there with those guys. How big is it Sam to get a win like this and to go into the buy we like you talked about now you're three and three, you climb back out of the little bit of a hole you three and three getting into that buy. It's huge man, that's what we needed, That's what we talked about, and I'm happy we got it done. A lot of football left, no question, a lot of football left you. You got a lot of football

and you congratulations on a big game, man, Thank you. Sam Hubbert seven tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, five quarterback hits and Dave he played sixty five of the seventy four snaps yesterday. He was out there all day and he was. He was wreaking havoc all day. He was. And it just goes to show you how finely tuned conditioning can help a football player. Because this guy is unbelievable. We talked about his athletic

prowess. He started out at Moler as a defensive back, moved to linebacker, moved to down lineman. He has unbelievable skills in a big body, and it's a body that is just it's a machine. I mean, it is finally tuned. It's the oil is up to the very tippity top. He's running on all every cylinder. He is something else to watch and effort. There is never a snap that takes place where Sam Hubbard does not empty

the tank. Man. He gives effort. He appreciates his opportunity, and it's apparent every single snap this guy takes, they've next Gen had a stat that caught my eye after the game. The Bengals defense yesterday the fourth since twenty twenty to have four different players with at least six pressures in the same game. Sam, according to next Gen, had went up with nine pressures, Tray had seven, DJ had six, and BJ had six. And that's I don't even want to leave out Cambo had three. But it wasn't

just a one man show. As typically as with the lose defense. It's not a one man show. They're coming at you from all angles, at all different ways they are, and the down lineman did a nice job twisting and stunning and staying in lanes. When they did run those games, they just they were overpowering. I will say, though man Gino holds onto the ball, he holds onto the ball a long time, and coverage has to be good because he's got really talented receivers. He has a very good trio

of receivers himself, and the back end held up. I mean, the coverage was great and Gino now he's at a point in his career where he gets off a bad read quickly, but then when he went to the next one, he thought it was bad. He thought it was bad, and by the time he came back to another one, boom, it was too late. So there's all different forms of complimentary football. Sometimes it's one phase with the other defense stepping up to help the offense when they're struggling. Special

teams help in both areas when they're struggling. But within one phase of it, you have a pass rush that's working hard to get there. You have coverage that's complimenting that pass rush, and the pass rush eventually gets home, or the pass rush is so good the quarterback throws the ball prematurely and an interception happens on the back end. So now you have complimentary football within you know that that's that phase of football, and the Bengals showed some of that,

and that's a good sign. That's where they have to get to. They have to They have not come close to having a game this year where all three phases are clicking at the same time. They've had a great defensive performance, they've had pretty good offensive performances, they've had very above average special teams performances. But never in the same game. And once that happens, look at watch out, Yeah, then there'll be like an hour in a

rhythm. Let's roll still ahead in this hour, Cam Taylor Britt checks in. Second hour tonight, lou Anarumo, Tyler Boyd, seven targets, seven catches yesterday, Well here from Ted Karras, andre Yosebash on his touchdown catch on his birthday, couple of birthday guys yesterday, Andrea Yeah, and Cam Taylor Britt. Third hour, Brian Callahan and so much more. We're making our way through three hours of Bengals conversation on a victory Monday, just like

we like it. It's Bengals Line of the First Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW. Hey, welcome back to Bengals Line and this Monday night, were on the First Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW making our way through a seventeen thirteen with over to the Seahawks. We'll get to the bye Prospects and the forty nine ers as well. I'm Lance Bacallister.

He is Dave Lapham and Bengals fans make sure to catch me and Dan Horde every Wednesday this season for Bengals game Plan, presented by Light on the air from six to eight pm on ESPN fifteen thirty. Now we will not be doing one this Wednesday, so a week from Wednesday, we'll catch back up with you on Bengals game Plan. Let's stay on the defensive side of things and hear from a man who had a huge day again back to back

games with interceptions his impact certainly felt that would be Cam Taylor Britt. Here's Dan Horde. We're in the locker room with a guy they called juice, Cam Taylor Britt, a huge interception as the Bengals make one big defensive play after the other, down to stretch to hold on and win. Tell me about what you guys did in the red zone in this game. Now we just had to hold up. We always realized, you know, yours no equal points and now they had the opportunity to be in the red zone you

know four times. I believe it ended up with just three points out of those four. So you know, we just really harp on that. You know, we got to you know, Stanson to os and you know, stand our ground with that. And it wasn't just the red zone. It was the low low red. Yeah, they were like inside the five or inside the ten four times and six drives in the second half and got three points. That's amazing. That's how you hold up. Man, it's bingo

defense. Tell me about the interception, because not only did you come up with a diving peck, but your run back led to the field. Yeah. Man, it's something that I got early on in the game. I got the same route, and you know, once I just seen the inside release, I felt the coming. He doesn't run too many routes, so you know, his roupture is very limited. So once he went out inside, I already knew what was coming, and I just literally you could see

on film. I just ran underneath it and yeah, the ball was coming. Yeah. Two weeks, two picks. Yeah, we gotta keep it going. Feel good. How about being three and three after an on and two start and now going into the by with kind of a fresh start and a five hundred record. It's about zero zero I look at it. I think that's how a lot of guys look at it. Like you said, a fresh start. You know, we got to come back after the by,

you know, and just keep our foot on. You know a lot of people's next because it's not gonna be easy, as we can see today, and we got to forty nine's coming up. You know, right after the bar. There were so many plays in the low red zone where they got to Geno Smith. As you're covering in those situations, you hear a

roar and realize they got to the quarterback. Yeah, it's crazy. I was actually Guardie k on one of them, think a back line route, and they actually threw the balls to move, but the ball was altered because I think Samrai trade got back there. But I knew the ball got altered because I heard the crowd bad because I heard the crowd, So I look and the balls coming out like oh all right. So you know it does give me a little tips in there. And there I hear ball calls all

the time. Man, maybe snapped ahead or a lot of guys are waving their arms to get the crowd to make a lot of noise. Did that make a difference in the red zone? Man? It was huge today. Man, I can honestly say I couldn't hear a thing. I believe that's great. You know, I was just going to line up, give me a signal and I got to play implications. Was real hard out there towards the end of the game. But you know that's why, you know,

that's where the standing man. We live for those moments. Brat twn to win and enjoy the bye, Thank you, thank you. Cam Taylor Britt following a seventeen thirteen win over the Seahawks and Dave the makeup of Cam Taylor Britt and it's no wonder they loved him when they plucked him out of Nebraska with the sixtieth pick. But there is a there's a savviness there, there's an energy, there's an attitude. You roll it all into one and it

was on full display yesterday. And he is built perfectly mindset wise to play corner because DK Metcalf beat him one time up the sideline, and he's like it happens. DK Metcalf makes plays, he gets paid two, I'm gonna go make a play. And the fact that he gets over that that kind of scenario so quickly and then he'll he'll just line up and compete his tail off again. There is no backing off or backing down. It's a foreign subject to Cam Taylor Brit he is gonna get after it and get after you

while he's getting after it. And DK had sixty nine yards, but receivers are gonna get yours. He was targeting ten times, only had four catches yesterday, right, And and I thought that Cam Taylor Brick got in his head and he had appendantly as a result, and he was, you know, pleading his case to the officials. So Cam Taylor brit somehow, either by his play or something that was said or whatever they kept maybe a combination

of all of it. But bottom line is DK Metcalf was out of sorts, and that's always good when you can get your opponent thinking about things other than what he should be doing and how he should be doing them. And David, how about some credit? And well it pops into my head. We haven't talked about him in a while, but they deserve some run for

just how this secondary has performed this season. From Charles Burkes who worked with the corners, to Robert Livingston, who works with the safeties, one in a second year, one in his ninth, what those two do in molding a group that's got a nice blend of youth and veteran and sabbiness has has has looked really looked look great. Yeah. I think that they're great teachers. I mean that's what coaches are first and foremost teachers, and those guys

are great teachers of the game of football. And their players respond to them, you know, the young They're very relatable when the players look at them as coaches. And and I think two like you mentioned the veteran players. It's there's a veteran at both position groups that is, you know, doing a good job of raising the bar in terms of preparation and all the things that go along with it. Mike Hilton had a huge interception. I mean

that that interception in the red zone was was massive. There's no question about it, no two ways about it. Because you know, Joe Burrow had suffered an interception and yep, and Mike Hilton said, well, don't worry, we'll get it back and he did exactly that. So you have veterans that do it the right way that are the role models for those coaches, those young coaches that those position groups. It's put together extremely well from top

to bottom. When the when the waters get a little choppy and the waves are crashing into the shore, to have a veteran like Mike Hilton. Just guys back there who can calm it down. That's that's a really nice intangible to have. Absolutely and you know you can you can talk about it all you want, but when the talk is backed up by performance, now you get something very very special. I mean, over the years, I can remember as a player, guys be like that rings hollow Man, that dude,

he can't even play. What the hell's he talking about? But you got somebody that is out there making plays. When he speaks, people listen. And and like guys that are really good players, like Mike Hilton, they don't talk just for the sake of talking. When they talk, people listen. I mean the classic Yeah. When that when they have something to say, it's it's usually extremely important and very pertinent, and people listen. Take another time out head down the Stretch in our first hour. Lou An

Arumo will join us to lead off our second hour. That and more ahead Bengals a lot to the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred w l W. Down the Stretch we go in our first of three full hours tonight, talking Bengals on Bengals Line and the first Star Logistics, Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW and Bengals fans on Fridays, make sure to listen to myself and Dan Horde from Bengals pep Rally presented by Wings and Rings on

the air from three to six pm on ESPN fifteen thirty. And by the way, when Dan is on the road doing Bengals basketball or football or whatever, Bengals game plan and Bengals pep Rally will be hosted by Box Miller. Lou will join us in our next segment. And I want to ask him about this, but I'll ask you first just the crowd yesterday and the number of defensive players who mentioned and gave kudos to the crowd for the role they

played yesterday. It was rather significant, was it? Absolutely? There's no two ways about it. I mean, we felt like the team that I played on the went to Super Bowl sixteen. We felt like when our home games were basically brutal to try to operate and communicate and do all the things you had to do as a visiting team, and we just couldn't that variable,

that that factor in the football game was immeasurable. Because we went on to places and obviously you do around the league where it's impossible, it's impossible to hear yourself even think. And man, when Riverfront Stadium turned into that, that was like gold, solid gold. Man, it gave you such

a huge edge. And like coach and Rumo talked about Seattle, they've had it for years, and there are teams around the league that have had that type of type of advantage for years, and Cincinnati he's got it now. And we mentioned earlier on in the hour the number of different contributors. We'll talk with Lou about this as well. You mentioned the four linebackers in on the second goal in the third quarter and Joe Bachi comes up with a shares

the tackle. It's a one yard loss. That was the only snap he played yesterday, but Lou had faith to put him in in that package. And Joe Bachi along with Marcus Bailey each got one snap yesterday defensively, and that was the play. And that was a contributor yesterday, no doubt. I mean, he only had four linebackers actor for the game. Davis Gaither looks like he's had a scope procedure on that knee, so he wasn't available, so he went with the four linebacker package. Those are the guys.

Those are the guys that he's going to count on to make a play, and they all did their job superbly and one yard loss was the result. There is much more to get to in our second and third hour, a look at the dock that includes lou An Roumo heading headlining hour number two. We'll hear from Tyler Boyd he have seven targets and seven catches yesterday, Ted Karris on the offensive line. We'll hear from Yoshi Yoshi on his touchdown,

and then Brian Callahan will check in in our third hour tonight. All of that plus look at the quick look ahead at the forty nine ers for the buy, where things sit in the AFC North, and of course we wrap things up with game ball presentations. You'll hear that at the end of the show. It's all ahead, as we've put one of the books in two to follow, Bengals Line on the First Starlogistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred

WLW Touchdown Bengals. This is Bengals Live on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network, brought to you by Acre Paycor is proud to be the official hr, software provider of the Cincinnati Bengals. Alta Fiber future proof of fiber Internet designed to elevate your home, business, and community to a new level. You're listening to the Bengals Radio Network. Hey, we're back on Bengals Line

on this Monday night. It's a Victory Monday and we love Victory. Mondays Bengals Line on the first Starlogistics Bengals Radio Network in seven hundred WLW Lance McAllister Dave Lapham and this portion of Bengals Line is presented by Bedford Sports Book, the official sports betting partner of the Cincinnati Bengals. All right, Dave, we always look forward to him joining us. He's always here for us.

You do the honors. Well, all I can say is I have a publisher lined up and the book is going to be Red Zone Defense by Luanna Roumo. I mean, come on, now, are you kidding me? That was just one hell of a defensive performance overall, but the red zone extraordinary. I mean, I don't think I've seen anything close and have back to back red zone possessions like that and that short of time frame, and to stand up as large as you stood up and your defensive football team.

That's extraordinary. Well, I appreciate it, could be more proud of the players. Man, we have. I think everybody knows we've got some warriors on defense, and you know, those guys showed up at the most critical times yesterday and certainly at the end of the game to seal it in our front as you know, the steal the Yankees phrase the core four, BJ, Sam and Trey. I mean, you know they just never quit and

and and the rest of our guys too. But you know, you can see the pressure that they put on uh Gino yesterday and it paid off. Take us through the final play, fourth down and BJ and Sam get the Gino and smack him and the incompletion take us through that point. Well they had we had called time out, I believe the previous just to kind of see a little bit little basketball, you know, see what's going on. And uh they came back out in the same set, which was nice.

And Uh, I had two thoughts in my head, and I'm glad I went with the one I went with. Man, you uh you had a snap. We had all four linebackers out there, so that was that was something new. I'm sure they were like, yeah, we hadn't seen that. We weren't prepped for that one necessarily, and you're different looks up from your disguising coverages on the back end. Gino was holding the football a lot, and your coverage was extraordinary allowing the pressure to ultimately get there. It

was Uh, it was. It was complimentary football. It's finest between your front and your back end, wasn't it. Yeah, I thought Russian coverage definitely worked well. Uh, yesterday, you know then when you certainly need to start off better. The first drive was not what we wanted, but after that, you know, that was the only touchdown of the day, so yeah, well, uh we'll keep we'll we'll take that, but yeah,

need to do better. We we tackled better. We were right around five missed tackles for the day, which is, you know, an acceptable number. You don't want to miss any but in this league you're gonna miss some. So h that was better. Certainly, as you mentioned, red zone was fantastic. They're down was pretty good and uh, you know, the running back had sixty yards and that's what's important. Dave mentioned the four linebackers third quarter, second and goal two thirty to go, Bacci and Bailey.

Bacci comes up with shares the tackle. That was the only snap that Baci and Bailey played defensively for you. But that is to me, that's trust and that's preparation, and that's taking advantage of an opportunity. I think so we and those guys have played meaningful snaps for us in the past. They've started games when we've had injuries, yep, So they know we trust them and it's a it's a particular call that we have and they came in and executed. So it was great. It got us to third down,

yep, you know, got to stop. So that was good. Cam Taylor britt interception and back to back games. The two quarterbacks that you faced the last two weeks had a grand total of one interception in the games prior to playing you. When they played you, they both gave up multiple interceptions. I mean, you get four interceptions off a pair of quarterbacks that had one on the season combined going into those football games. How proud are you

of that turnover factor? Well, we knew Cam had a good matchup going in. It was going to be a physical matchup, which we knew. Uh, you know, we wanted to take it right to the line and not cross it. And that's what we got accomplished. I believe he had a metcalf had a personal foul, which was which was good for us. Came didn't I guess they did. But yeah, Cam's a tough, tough competitor and uh, you know played out well for us yesterday in that matchup.

How big was I was struck by how many of your guys mentioned the crowd after the game. How big was that yesterday? Just annoy I mean, they get behind us so well. I I remember sitting here last week saying how I knew it would affect the game. And you know they're used to it Seattle, that is when they are playing at home, you know, twelfth Man and all that stuff, and they they do a phenomenal job.

That's an incredibly hard place to play and and we've made we've made our place that way, and you know, when opposing offenses come in, they know it is not gonna you're gonna have to deal with us on the field as well as the noise, which affects you know, it affects the offenses, so and you know it really helps our guys, that's for sure. We fed off it yesterday. The I guess the other side of it is when you have to communicate on the back end or linebackers to dbs or whatever

is, everything has to be hand signals, right. I mean, there's there's not very much dialogue that can go on with that noise. Sometimes we will dial some of the things back at home just because of the lack of communication. Where we're on the road, we can hear each other talk better. We got we had one snap, I think two snaps yesterday where we all weren't on the same page because of that. Thank god, it didn't cost us. They got a first down on one of them, but we

ended up stopping them. So but yeah, it's it's got to be you know, as we say, championship communication when we're at home because of the because of the noise. Sure, with Cheeto dealing with with the back and trying to get it out, DJ Turner got a lot of run. How did he hold up yesterday? It did well. Keeps us improving and uh you know, uh, like you said, Cheeto, you know another one of those guys, just a warrior, just trying to give us whatever he

had. And you know, so we got to get him healthy. But DJ's doing a good job getting better with each game. The history already in the last even two or three years, the red zone performances and it's a lot of the same guys, but there are new guys. I mean there were It's it's never the same year to year. The fact that your players can respond to you doing in those crisis moments as such, you know where the game is on the line and it's like, okay, hey put up

her, shut up, this is this is it right here? What what is it that that makes you able to raise those guys up in those scenarios. Well, I think they do a good job preparing. You know, we have we try to get a head start on the red zone early in the week, very early, I think, more earlier than I've ever done or been. So that certainly helps when we do that, and they have

a good feel and we don't change We certainly change up. But the core of what we do showed up yesterday and they know it, they know how to play it, they know where the weakness weak spots of it are, and they certainly know where their help is and things like that. So yesterday we had a particular call to make sure we knew where their top targets were down there, and as we always tell them in critical moments, it's about players, not plays, and we knew they were going to try to feed

the ball to sixteen and fourteen. Sure, after everything that has transpired in the first six games, how does it feel to be three and three now? To buy it a chance to collect yourself and go forward. Yeah, it's you know, we're fortunate to be where we're at. Certainly we would want to be a little bit better, but you know we're back to back to even now, and which was huge, you know, to get back

here. Uh, just the way it started. And then you know, get one on the road last week and then come back and getting this one against a really good football team. We'll get a nice needed break. Our guys played a bunch of plays yesterday and are beat up a little bit, and then you know, head out west for for a great challenge against the Niners. Sam played sixty five snaps yesterday. Man, he was well, he is. Excuse me. Nobody takes care of his body more than you

know they all do, but Sam's on top of it. And so him this morning, I said, how you feeling. He said, great. You know, God bless him, you know, I you know, we were thinking about substituting there at the end on that last drive, and I just went over to him and I said, I need all four of you to go out there and win this game for us. You know, I don't want to put, you know, nothing against our backups because they're they

can do a great job. But you know, those as I mentioned, they're warriors, right, So they came up and they did They did a phenomenal job. And they've done it before. I mean they get the experience of, you know, haven't done it for you before. I mean, that's that's a man. There's there's nothing more than the intangible of been there, done that, have the experience. The confidence level just man just rises

and uh and and they look at each other. I can remember being in games where looking at my center, looking at my tackle, I don't want to be the one to screw this up. I'm gonna make sure you know, I'm gonna do it right. And those guys seem to have that type of relationship where they're not only doing it for themselves obviously the professional football players, they care about the guys on either side of them as well. There's

no doubt. You know, it's a great, great room that we have with the defensive guys and and certainly how they want to respond as you mentioned, and play for each other. You know, I heard them in the behind me as they're taking the field. You know, just put the ball down. Just let's do it again, you know, DJ Reader, Cheeto, those guys just you know, rallying the troops. And that's what that's what we ended up doing. I seem to remember last year on the bye,

you may have attended a college football game. Are you doing anything fun this year? Yeah? I am gonna attend the same college football game. So we're go see my son over at WVU. I believe they're playing Oklahoma State. I'm hoping for a little bit better weather than last year. I sat in the in the stands in the rain, but we did and my wife would not let me leave the game. So we're gonna watch to the

bitter end. And they won, so it was nice. But yeah, So we're heading to Morgantown this weekend to see see my butt, my son and then hopefully, like I said, we'll get some good weather over there. Played Morgantown a couple of times in college, coach, when I played at Syracuse, that's a crowd that gets after it. They get after it, man, and they are right on top of you. I mean, I could not believe the first time I played there. It's like, man,

why don't they just throw them right on our bench? I mean, they're right there. It's something I would I remember the same things when I was a GA. It's Syracuse back in the day. And you know that was a bitter rye back in the big East days of the West. Virginia and Syracuse not like each other, and and yeah it was. It was a fun place to go play, for sure. I'm now I'm glad I'm just watching. I could sit there and say, huh, I wouldn't have

done that. Good scene. News always. Maybe I'll get a Twitter account for the weekend. That would be good. Yeah it is. That's a joke. No, that would be good. Yeah, really good. Yeah, whatever it's called. Yeah, congratulations, good scene. You enjoyed the bye, appreciate it, Thank you, appreciated. Coach Lou and Romo take a time out and continue. There's more to get to Bengals line on the first Star Logistics, Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred w l W. Hey,

welcome back to Bengals Line on this Monday night. We're in the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred w l W. The tag team met Lance Bacallos joined him Dave Lapham and Bengals Friday Night Stripes Tour presented by a how Cat Is Back? Sweet smatch up between Anderson and Turpin. For all locations this season, go to Bengals dot com slash community. Tyler Boyd

targeted seven times. Tyler Boyd seven catches, including a touchdown. Here's the Bengals wide receiver with Dan Horror. Bengals scored on their first two drives today and the first one was a touchdown catch for Tyler Boyd. Good to be back in the end zone again, isn't it? Yes? I throw every time you get in there, you know, you get a saiday and you just feel good because you worked so hard just to score a touchdowns and just make plays, you know, And they robbed me last week. But I'm

just glad I got back in there this week. They did rob you last week because Alex Kapa, that was a bogus call. Yeah, they they that was that was Yankee, you know, but you can't kind of complain too much that I go out there in the next play. All right, let's start with the good. The first two drives were textbook, right down the field, methodically, touchdown, touchdown. What did you feel was going right during those two drives? We just had a rhythm, you know,

everything we was calling and what we seeing them guys do on tape. We we kind of knew what they was going to give us, and we were taking everything we got, you know, and kind of slowed down in the second half, you know, but still made enough plays to still kind of win the game. But at the end of the day, it was a great team win. Defense applot to them, but we got to play way better as a whole after those first two drives. Did they make significant adjustments?

What happened to slow you guys down after that? To be honest, I can't quite say. I don't really know. So we've watched our tape, but I kind of felt like the game plan was great, you know, we just wasn't clicking. The pressure started coming real heavy. I mean, until I see the tape. We gotta regardless, we gotta clean up a few things, and I'm just glad we ended up putting it off for

chatting with Tyler Boyd. Let's talk about the defense. In the second half, Seattle was in the low red zones four times and six drives and got three points. As you're watching that, what are you thinking about the defensive performance? Oh man? Just since the last two years. But I knew we had one of the top defense in the whole league, you know, and not one time have ever doubted them, you know, regardless of me

being a part of the team or not. You know, I know that we got one of the top defense and we respected for that, you know. And our defense played good man, shut lights out. You know. They have what four times down there in one field goal, two three and outs. Uh man, that's that's impeccable. Man, that's man. I can't plot them guys much. Man. They they they did it for us, and I hang my het up for them, even with your confidence in

them. How nerve wracking was it to watch those opportunity It's very nerve wracking because at the end of the day, it's still football. Seahawks is a great team, and uh you can find ways to get an end zone, you know, and they're right through the seven yard line a couple of times there on the two yard line, and man, it was it's just messes with you mentally a little bit. But just gotta kind of stay poison, just kind of believe, you know, at that point, you just got

to hope for the best and not the worst. But we're always prepared for the worst, so in any moment, we were ready for it. You've won two straight, three out, three out of four, and you've hit five hundred going into the buy. How do you feel kind of about the reset now with the buy coming out? It's huge. It's huge, you know, because now we're kind of getting in our rhythms, kind of getting in ourselves again. We are starting to starting to be who he was at

the end of last year, you know. But like I said, we still got more work to do in his bye week airby get their bodies right and we got a real, real, real tough when we get back, you know with the forty and nine ers, So we got to come in a game once we get back, but just get guys healthy and let's let's wrong. Congrats sound to TV and the win appreciate you both a TD for

TV chatting with us in the locker room after the Bengals win Oversea. Autum Tyler seven catches thirty eight yards and a touchdown and Dave we we certainly talked a lot about Jamar Chase last week, and we've talked a lot about just the overall the depth of this wide receiver group and the Wiley he's twenty eight, he's not old, but the Wiley veteran who just he does the job week in and week out and ask seven different times, target at seven different

times, delivers each and every time. And it was it was Tyler Boyd. What Tyler Boyd does eighth year in the National Football League. That's amazing when you think about it. Eight years here with the Cincinnati Bengals out of Pittsburgh, second round draft pick in twenty sixteen, and he is I mean, every coach that's coached here has mentioned Tyler Boyd is one of those unsung heroes in terms of taking care of people in the locker room. I mean,

he gets it on so many levels. And he's been a great player, you know, consistent performer. You know what you're going to get out of Tyler Boyd. Every time his number is called, he answers the bell. He never disappoints you if he doesn't get a whole lot of action. He never gripes complaints, never airs dirty laundry. It's all handled like pros pro that he is. He's the kind of guy nuts and bolts of a football team. Yep. And when you have a Tyler Boyd in your locker

room, you're better off for it, well said. Still ahead, how about we talk O line offensive line? Ted Carris checks in later on. We'll talk with the other Bengal wide receiver who had a touchdown catch yesterday. That and more as we make our way through this Monday evening, a victory Monday. It's Bengals Line. We're on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio network and seven hundred WLW. Hey, we're rolling right along on this Monday night,

making our way through our number two of three on Bengals Line. We're on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio network in seven hundred WLW. I'm Llonce Pacallister. He is Dave Blapham, Yes, Sir Lance and the Cincinnati Bengals upgraded the Wi Fi pay course Stadium with the help of their new internet provider, Alta Fiber, future proof fiber internet cable capable of delivering multi gigabit speeds designed to take your home, business, and community to a new level.

Elevate your connection with Alta Fibers, take it up front. Let's talk O line with Ted Karris. Ted. First couple of drives, first two possessions, red zone touchdown, red zone touch and they'd only allowed people in the red zone eight times all year, but when people get in there, they scored touchdowns. They'd scored seven. So you guys score two for two in the red zone. Defense they only give up one touchdown and five red zone

opportunities of field going three times no points. Red zone won the football game today. Yeah, defense won the football game today. Let's let's give a lot of shout out to them. The story going into bye week should be our defense is elite like they've been for a long time. Won the game for us today. I thought we did some good stuff in the first half, didn't really get much going in the second. But you know, that's a good football team, that's a playoff football team coming into town. Really

really grateful to even up our record going into a week off. Kudos to the d I mean, as much as I'll say that as much as I can this week. That was unbelievable performance by them. I mean, there are backs against the wall on the ten yard line three times in a row to win the game. So three drives in a row really to win the game. So that's unbelievable. We want to be able to do a little bit more for him. Situational run game poor on us. I thought we

did a good job protecting though. I thought we had a pretty solid day against a really really good front. I mean, that's a good group over there. That's a Pete Carroll defense with the Hall of Fame Mike linebacker. So you know, glad we did enough to win. Still, some things at work on. We're going to take a good look at ourselves this week, get some rest, get ready to go out to San fran which is gonna be a big one. So the first two possessions go exceedingly well.

And then did they do anything different? Did they make any halftime adjustments that were extraordinaries? Was it just not quite just to tick off execution wise to the offense? What was the deal? They already think that. I'm sure they made some adjustments, and that's also Hall of Fame coach over there. I think probably the main thing I'll look at the film. They probably went for more of a too high shell to play in, you know, middlefield

closed, blitzing a little bit more. They blitzed Bobby quite a bit. But overall solid performance. I mean, left some things on there on offense, and you know we're gonna continue to improve, but kudos to the defense. Unbelievable performance. Really proud of these guys. Really, what a relief to get a win, even up our record to five hundred going into a week off, no question. What does it mean to go into the buy at five hundred. I means I can go to my dad's game a little

bit happier. Yeah, enjoyed the BUYE We thank you, Joe Knights, Ted Carris, the Man Ted Carris. After the game, let's go, let's go run game or early they fed Joe and got relatively good results with a couple of four yard runs on the opening drive, But as a whole big picture that the running game just never really got got intract and go on. Yesterday, it didn't. The longest rush of the day and the running game was five yards. Joe Burrow did it on a scramble and Joe Mixon

did it one time. So fifteen carries forty six yards a long run of five yards. It's not a whole lot of production. Three point one yards per Fortunately, the Bengals defense contained the Seattle Seahawks run game as equally as well, at three point five per twenty five rushers for eighty seven yards. Yeah, it's Orlando Brown, by the way, since we're talking about the guys up front. He did reaggravated a groin issue. He was on the

injury report. He practiced through it, but he was on the injury report and he was limited a couple of times two three weeks ago with the groin and that got reaggravated. Talked to him after the game. He feels like with the bye week, it's not going to be a problem. He should be fine. I want to give Cody Ford a patt in the back. Cody Ford came in there at the left tackle position seventeen, operated very well, and you know he was a higher draft pick than Orlando Brown coming out

of Oklahoma. Cody Ford was a second round pick. Orlando Brown was a third round pick. There were teammates at Oklahoma, so Cody Ford he can play, and he's getting an opportunity to show what he can do here, and Frank Pollock's bringing him along and he came off the off the bench and acquitted himself pretty darn well. They've They're averaging three and a half yards per carry on a bye week where there will be self scouting done. Is is

the key to unlocking the running game on the scale? Is it more of a tweak or more of an overhaul on the opposite end of what has to unlock this this running game for this team? Yeah, I know, I know, darn. I'm not sure if it was the bye week or it was shortly before shortly after they went from inside outside zone to a gap team. I mean they totally overhauled, totally changed their thought process and running the

football. I think what you have to do is sit down during the by and look at the personnel, look at the physical attributes to the offensive line personnel, and proceed accordingly. You know, you try to do that even on a week to week basis. But now that you have a buy in a little bit more time, it'll be interesting to see what they do come up with if there is going to be a tweak in what they do from a structure standpoint, in the form of attacking the defense. Like I said,

outside zone inside outside zone is totally different than gap. You know, gap is blocked down, pin pull, counter, misdirection, all those kind of things. That's what they That's what they went to and Seattle runs a combination of both. They'll go outside zone, they'll get your flow, and then they'll come back and run counters. That's a perfect world. The San

Francisco forty nine ers have a very diverse running game. They do almost anything and everything you can think of. Maybe the Bengals add to it and keep some of what they're doing as a foundational starting point and add wrinkles to it. Who knows, maybe they just just turn the whole thing upside down and rebuild it. We'll see what see what they come up with. During the

buy Boy in the moment yesterday, they kind of typified their struggles. I want to say, they went to seven off third and one, went to seven offensive max shirping I think was it, and got stopped stoned on third and one, and that's happened. That's happened more than once. That's happened in the red zone third and one fourth and one. Yep, at just very very last game, third and one fourth and one, you know, not not able to punch it in. So those those things all have to

be evaluated looked at. Are we asking our personnel to do things that they can't do? Is the personnel not doing what they're supposed to do? Why is why is it breaking down at critical times? All that, all that self scouting thing has to be addressed. We touched a little bit on it in the first hour. If we could circle back quickly before this segment's done. Joe was not sacked in the first half. He was sacked three times in the second half, and we started to touch on a little bit on

what Seattle was doing differently in the in the second half. How did they get the press in the second half more so than the first. Well, I think part of it is Joe. A lot of times you have to look at every sack. Is Joe getting out of pocket? Is the third down field position? Is he holding onto the football a little bit longer? And if you take a sack, it's not that big a deal, you know, McPherson can still you know, drive a drive a you know,

a field goal through and all of those kind of things. You know. I do think that they they made some some I thought significant tweaks, and I guess others don't think they were significant. It's just I was asking people after the game. Did they change things or was just a lack of execution on on the Bengals side of it offensive or is it a combination of both? And I guess from answers that I yet gotten didn't get it was probably

a combination of both. But they did change some things, and there's no question about it. They tightened coverage big time, whether it was tightening up the zone, not giving as much cushion at the line of scrimmage, whatever the case may have been. They did change some things because all of a sudden, man, there wasn't a whole lot of opportunity down the football field. There was some suffocation going on on route combinations. Still ahead a little

bit more on the offensive side of things. From a wide receiver standpoint, we're here from Yoshi. As we continue, it's a Bengals lot in the first Star Logistics Bengals radio network in seven hundred WLW. They we're back on Bengals lot on this Monday evening. We do it each week on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW Lance Pacallister along with Dave Leppham.

Did your high school win a big football game this past weekend? You can nominate your coach for the Bengals Coach of the Week Award presented by pay Corps by visiting Bengals dot com slash Coach of the Week stock wide receiver position. Let's talk about the man who had his first career touchdown catch and did it on his birthday. Here's Dan Horde with Andrey yosebas Andre Yosibash caught his first NFL touchdown pass at least in the regular season. I remember when you

caught one in the preseason. He said, this one doesn't count till it's regular season. How did that feel today? Yeah? I thought awesome. You know, at first, I didn't know if it was going to stand or not because as they threw a flag, but you know, they they said it was a touchdown, and I almost I mean I started to tear a little tear up a little bit once I once I started after I was done dazzing with teeth, but it was it was a great time. You

know, it's a scramble drill. You know, you're working that a lot, especially you know Joe Burrow, he can extend plays a bunch, so he's always got to be ready. And he was actually nice enough to get me the ball after, you know, because I completely forgot about it. But you know, that's the kind of guy. He is, super thoughtful, so I was just really appreciative of that. Yeah, he made a mad dash into the end zone to make sure that that ball is recovering.

Yeah, yeah, he did, and then I honestly completely forgot about it, and then he came up to me with the ball, and so he just shows you know how health awful he is. So, as you mentioned, he extended the play from your perspective, When do you realize, all right, he's buying time. I've got to do something to get over Yeah,

I mean, you look at him. You know, my route took a little bit longer than it would have taken in the first place, so I already knew that there's a possibility of being a scrambled I look at him, and he's already out of the pocket, So I tried to just find a hole, and you know, at that point you're just kind of you're just looking to see where something's open, and you know, lucky enough to

just put it right on me and I was able to score. He wasn't able to do that much in the first four games because of his calf. We've seen a lot of it now in the last two weeks. How important is that specifically in the red zone. Yeah, it's super important because you know there's social short field to work with, especially when you're in the red zone that you know sometimes plays needs a big extend and you know you need the extra factor for it to work because you're so confined. So it braks

a different dimension to the offense for sure. Let's talk about the defense for a moment. Four times in the second half Seattle had it in the low red zone and got one field goal. As you're watching that, how nerve wracking is it? What's going through your mind? Yeah? I mean it I get nervous a little bit. But there's something about that defense that you know they're gonna pull something out, you know what I mean, Like you

always know they're all dogs in that defense. They're all ready to make a play, and so ye're I'm nervous, but I'm also confident at the same time. So it's like a weird feeling that I don't want to know how to explain. Yeah, the crowd was into it. The place was rocking. It was pretty remarkable when the defense kept making stop after stop. I

mean it was incredible. I mean, you know, they put us on their back, and it's just nice to see that we have the defense to rely on, especially if you know the offense is down or something that something else happens. And I love those guys making all those plays. Congrats on the TV. Glad you got the ball. Congrats on the win as well. Thank you appreciate the birthday boy, Andre Yosebash the touchdown and we referenced

it earlier. The awareness of Joe, the little things from QB one and he made a bline to get it in the football and get and you talk back to back weeks and and Joe is the one who connects with Kwame Lassiter for his first catch last week in Arizona. He goes after the football this week for Andre that may be a little thing from the outside looking in, but I would imagine it's a much bigger thing inside for the guys that Joe

deals with, no question, and he b lined for that football. I mean, it was like he wanted to make sure that thing was not lost in the shuffle. And Yosi Vash's birthday, Cam Taylor BRIT's birthday as well,

and those two guys made huge plays. I mean, the interception by Cam Taylor Britt and returned twenty four yards for the field goal, fifty two yard field goal that extended the lead from a point to four points the final that was the final points of the game massive, and then Yosie Vash's touchdown is is massive as well. So yeah, birthdays are a big thing. I guess the other thing we were trying to take credit because it's like,

you know, Trenton Irwin showed up on our show during the weekend. He had a big he had a career high eight catches for sixty yards, you know, and then you got Cam Taylor Britt showing up and he has a big in So we're trying to sell the fact that if you come on our radio shows during the week you're gonna have a big performance on Sunday, you

know. I loved in a touchdown catch and he initially got hit and kind of re routed, but he fought his way through and along the back line as Joe extended to play, and he does even last week in his footwork. I got a feeling day. For years to come, We're going to reference a lot. How did that guy last until pick two oh six of the sixth round, because I just I get excited watching the little glimpses, glimpses we've seen of him for what it may mean down the road. Yeah,

I mean, you're talking about an Olympic athlete. There's no questioning. His skill set checks a lot of boxes, and then he's got the mental capacity not just academically being a Princeton graduate, but football IQ and sometimes they're totally different. I had teammates and friends from Ivy League schools that football IQ and they have a great IQ overall, but football IQ and others great IQ and great football IQ and some guys. You know, it's it's all and

everything in between. Fortunately Andre has it all. He has it all. He's he's definitely blessed and I think he's going to be a big, big contributor to this football team for a lot of years to come, and I agree with you, Lance, and the rest of the league is going to say, man, how did we not have him rated higher coming out of college? Data stretch will go final segment of our second hour. Then we'll flip the page to our three. Brian Callahan will join us kicking off that

hour. It's all ahead on Bengals Line, First Star Logistics, Bengals Radio Network, and seven hundred WLW. Down the stretch we go in our final segment of this second hour of three tonight on Bengals Line, the First Star Logistics, Bengals Radio Network, and seven hunterd WLW Shop The Bengals Pro Shop. Find the best selection in Bengals merchandise anywhere. This is the Pro Shop, seven days a week, located on the north side of pay Court Stadium,

or shop online at Bengals dot Com. Dave, we talk about this a lot, but it bears repeating because it's never as easy as Evan Macpherson makes it look, or as easy as the NFL make it look in this day and age. But fifty two yarder with fourteen oh six left in the game that made it seventeen thirteen. I want to say he is now seventeen for twenty one in his career from fifty yards or beyond. And to think of that percentage and how far the game has come in terms of kickers.

But that was a huge kick and you you made a great point earlier. That was coupled. That sequence was coupled with the Cam Taylor britt not just interception, but the return of the interception right, which led to the led to the field goal. Yeah, no doubt about it. And he's three for five this year from fifty and beyond, I mean five attempts. They got all the confidence in the world and him hitting it. He missed from fifty one, he missed from fifty six. He's been good from fifty three,

good from fifty four and good from fifty two. So he the operation is extraordinary. And just ask the San Francisco forty nine is how important all the place kicker? It's a forty two yard is pushed, right, I mean that's an extra point basically from McPherson. I mean, kickers are are extremely valuable, but the range of the kickers is phenomenal to watch. Where these guys warm ups now, I mean back, guys, are you hitting

sixty five yarders. I'm watching them spot the ball at the other forty five yard line and drilling it the entire length of the field through the uprights. It's like, that's unbelievable, just amazing. We've put this hour in the books. There is one more to unfold. Hang tight, because Brian Callahan is going to join us to kick off our next hour. It is Bengals

Line. It is on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW Touchdown Bengals East Bengals Line on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network, brought to you by pay Corps. Pay Corps is proud to be the official HR software provider of the Cincinnati Bengals alta flyber future proof of fiber Internet designed

to elevate your home, business, and community to a new level. You're listening to the Bengals Radio Network. Hey, we are rolling right along on this Monday Night of Bengals out of the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLWA Victory Monday, Lance McAllister and Dave Lapham. Pay Corps proud to be the official HR provider of the Cincinnati Bengals All right, Dave, Welcome in our special guest to kick off this hour. This hour special guest

is offensive coordinator Extraordinary for the Cincinnati Bengals. I probably at birth, he was probably born with the football under his arm. There's probably no question about that. And knowing as dad a little bit Callahan, Uh, football is his life and he does a hell of a job about it, and we appreciated him visiting with us a special guest on a weekly basis. Thanks for having me, Yes, sir, first two drives, boom boom down the field and things are clicking. Had you had to feel good right out of

the shoot the way things that were unfolding. Yeah, I thought it was gonna be one of those vintage Joe Burrow games. Is how it started. You know, we we super efficient early. He was accurate, we were hitting plays, we were making plays when we needed to, and we end up you know, with two touchdowns, we got fourteen points, were out the gate, and and then I thought we were going to open it up

and then and then we didn't. So that second half was frustrating, but the first half was a little glimpse of of what we're capable of, and we just got to find ways to be better through the course of four quarters really than we've been all year. You know. We we've had spurts of really good play and but we need more consistency. They play zone like eighty of the time in Man eighteen. It looked like they played a little bit more man and and and blitzed a little bit more than than than they do

normally in the second and half. Did they change anything other than that or no execution? They played pretty much how they how they show to play. They they have a system and an and an identity, and they played pretty close to that. They do a good job picking their spots to pressure their their front moves quite a bit in the run game, and they did a little bit of that, which which we were expecting. They mix in some man coverage, you know, just to keep you on your toes, and

they should with the personnel they have. And those two corners are really good players, you know they they Jamal Adams hadn't played much for him, Yeah, uh he was. They activated him a few times as as a blitzer

and he does a good job. He's a good player. But yeah, they stayed pretty true to who they were, and we just didn't make enough enough of the plays down the stretch to you know, we needed ultimately probably needed one more touchdown in there somewhere and make it twenty one points and give our defense a little bit of breathing room, and we failed to do that,

unfortunately, and we put them you know twice. Really the two minute drill at the end of the half gave him the ball with time and then you know, our four minute got the ball at an awkward time with two oh three, so we tried to throw one and then didn't run enough time off and gave him the ball back with a chance to go win the game. And that's disappointing in that spot to not be able to close the game with the ball in our hands and right and put our defense back out there

if they already had made a pretty incredible stand on the drive previous. So disappointed that we couldn't finish the game that way. Boy Joe was distributing like a point guard, especially in the first half. He hit six different guys

on the first drive. He hit nine different guys for the game. Yeah, he's he is never going to force the ball, and he's he's very detailed in his preparation detailed with how he progresses and within the past game, and he's gonna throw it to the open player and as much as that whatever

that requires that week, he's willing to do. So that's the good part about Joe, That's what makes him special is is he's not afraid and he trusts everybody on the offense to make the make the play when the ball comes their way. And that's how you want a quarterback to play. And he took on the role of ball stewart, you know, for Yosi Lash After he scored that first NFL touchdown, he dropped the ball to celebrate with his teammates and Joe right over there get it, and I think he might want

this, this be something that could go in the trophy case. That's great awareness by Joe. That just go I mean, he he loves the guys he plays with and to have that that meant something to Joe. For for yosh to have that first touchdown of his career, and I think he got a little bit screwed up because the flag went down and he no one really knew who was on We could quite figure it out. And in the moment he you know, he was more worried about the catch probably getting nullified as

opposed to being a touchdown. So yeah, that's great. Joe's a phenomenal teammate. I mean, you you know how our guys feel about him here. But that's just one example of how he you know, he makes sure guys are are taking care of and appreciated, and he does it plays his role as the you know, face of the face of the offense, in the face of the franchise. And on that play, Andre kind of is Joe extends to play and roles. Andre kind of follows him along the back

to make himself available. Yeah, it was a great, great scramble drill. The ball was designed to go to to Andre on a on a he ends up kind of open late, but he gets ping pong around the release that you know, Jamal Adams puts his hands all over him ultimately is what got the penalty. But just great execution in in a red zone scrambled drill, which is really you know, I've said it before, that's how you

score touchdowns in the red zone. Right is very rarely our guys open on the primary just because it's so tight and the coverages are so you know, they're so good at playing coverages down there that that's how you win. And that was unbelievable. He came back speed with with conviction and and Joe was just waiting for him to separate, and he was right there for him.

It was a great play on the flip side. With the defense doing so well in thess field having the goal line stands as such, Gino was holding that ball, holding that ball, you know, in the pocket, holding the ball, holding the ball, and it was a stark contrast, you

know, to what man Field's compressed. They took away the first play, you're gonna have to create an extend the second play, and guys did that so well and have done it so well with Joe Burrow, it is it's that's that's when the rubber meets the road, I guess, isn't it.

That's how That's how players are made. That's how touchdowns they scored. And I think obviously the huge difference in that game is you just look at the two red zone possession charts, and that's gonna be the difference in most games. If you go down in the red zone, you go two for two, and they go in the red zone, they go whatever they were one for five, ye chances are probably gonna probably gonna have a chance to win that game. So I would have liked to have gotten down there one more

time. I think we would have scored again, but we just we didn't do a good enough job getting back into the red zone to get another touchdown on the board. That was the thing going into the game. They'd only let the people opponent in the red zone eight times, which was second fewest in the league. But they've been scored seven touchdowns, nose eight possessions. You guys go to they've given up nine touchdowns and ten red zone possessions.

Where's the leak or where's the hole in their red zone philosophy? Do you think? You know, it's hard to say. I mean both of our both of our plays that you know, the touchdown a TV, we were we were hot. They had brought a pressure opposite where we were sending and sending the line and Joe knew it and stood in there. I had to throw quick took a little bit of a hit, not a big one,

but really good execution by him and TV getting open. You know, they they got a decent system down there, and I think they do a good job. It's just they've just given up, you know, really more probably run stuff for a team that's as good as against the run they've gotten. The ball has been running on them a few times more than I'm sure they would like. But you know, I felt really good about our red zone

plan. I wish we had a chance to throw a few more. Yeah, all things considered, everything you've been through, how does three and three feel at the buy? As good as we could do? You know, it's that's where we are. We're three and three. We we've caught our way back from a from a tough start. It's a credit to the to the plays and their resiliency and and their belief and in each other and and

that we can we can pull out of a hole. And I'd like to not be in a hole, but we we are who we are, and and that's how we started the season, and we found our way to three and three at the Buy, which again, given the games that we had to play and where the buye fel is as good as we can do. And and that's a great feeling, you know, to be it feels like

the whole league is is three and three. You know, it's there's a couple of teams that have done well, but really for the most part, particularly the AFC, it's gonna be a tight it's gonna be a tight race, and and every week is gonna matter, and it's it's gonna be We're gonna have ups and downs and every team is. And we got some big divisional games coming down stretch here that that are gonna be really really important for us. And and we got to find a way to play better on offense

than we have. And yeah, it's it's gonna be a it's gonna be this This November and December is gonna be is going to be a huge part of our season. And we've always church only played well during that time. There's a there's been some some taste of compland or football. They go on to the drive, score, you guys, come right back and score, tie the football game. Joe has an interception, Mike Hilton has one.

I got your back, Joe, you know, I mean, there's complementary things going on from phase to phase offense defense, even within the phase, you know, complementary reactions happening. But when this football team puts together offense defense, special teams all three phases playing their best in the same game. It hasn't come close to happening yet in your three and three. It's going to be something when it happens. Yeah, and we need it to happen,

truthfully. We we need to We need to play better on offense. I mean we've we've definitely put our defense on the field way too much. Just put them. We've put them in some bad spots and they've they've responded for the most part and and found ways to pick us up. And we've you know, played well enough in spurts, but it just it's got to be better. And I think that the complimentary piece, and we played it when our team plays together, complimentary wise, and we do a great job

with that, whereas as any football team in in the NFL. And that's what we gotta do and if we want to if we want to get to the end result where we think we're capable of being, and we got to do a better job of that. And it's it's it's the NFL. It's gonna go up and down, it's gonna ebb and flow. Your offense has good days, your defense has good days. I mean asked, I looked yesterday, I felt like nobody in the NFL scored more than twenty points,

you know, I mean like, it's just it's hard, man. It's a hard it's a hard league, and teams make you to do a better job of earning it on our end on offense. So shout out to the defense though. Man, those guys played unbelievable. How does the bye week look for you? You get anything fun? Or is it we get a little bit of time. I'm gonna, I'm gonna jump, I'll go down to We're gonna my wife and is gonna down the Florida for like two days

and just change the scenery up and there you go. Just just take a take a breath and and then get ready for the for the stretch run here it's you know, it's an earlier by then, we've had the last couple of years, and so you take the time when you get it. But the next couple of days will be a pretty good grind on on self scouting and getting a jump on San Francisco and and being being ready for that week.

So a lot of work ahead the next few days and then and then just a little bit of a deep breath at the end of the week and get ready to roll again. I know in watching the CBS broadcast this morning, they have the camera on you in the booth. Do you do you know when it's on you live? Is there like a red light or no? I don't. I really dislike having that in there. I really don't.

And the thing is that I forget it's there, you know what I mean, as the game gets going, I'm not paying attention to it at all, even though it's like, right, it's right on my face. And the only time I ever occasionally know it's on is I have an I in our home box. I have a TV that sits right next to me, to my right, and every now and again it's like I'll like see my face in the periphery of the TV, and so I know that I'm

on. Yeah, But most of the time, I mean ninety nine percent of the time I have I have no idea that it's there, And whatever reaction they catch is usually usually, you know, whatever moment they I'm sure they I thank god, they probably got producers up there that say, hey, don't put this one on there. But there's definitely times where it's not pretty, and I'm thankful that they don't get the show too many good stuff. Enjoy the bye week? Yes, well, and we do coverage break,

Yeah we do. Yeah, we take a break next week. Yeah, yes, yes, good seeing as always. Yep, let's do this again a couple of weeks sounds like a plant's good. Brian Callahan, everybody take a time out of continue. Much more to get too. It's Bengals Line on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW. Let's

keep it moving on this Monday night edition of Bengals Line. We're on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network at seven hundred WLW, Lance McAllister hanging out with Dave Lapham, Sir Lance and Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the season, save five bucks off Mike's car washed top two washes for all wash that sold on Wednesday, Mike's donates one dollar to the legendary Anthony Munos Foundation. Mike's is open daily from seven am to nine pm. We kicked off the hour talking

with Brian Callahan about the offense. Let's spend just a couple more minutes in this segment. Zach Taylor from the podium after the game talking and appreciation of the defense. Here's the coach got a lot of faith in our defense, you know, especially when they had to go out there. We put them out there in some tough spots and to have those four low red stops that they had, you know, they held them to a field goal, to turnovers and downs to turnover. Exceptional job by our defense, and uh,

they give you a lot of confidence. So it's a stressful situation. Seattle's got a great team. They did a great job hitting some plays moving the ball down there. But at the end of the day, just got tremendous confidence that our defense is going to figure it out, and they did and got a huge stop there at the end. Zach, what can you say about Cam Taylor Bates day day on one of the best receivers. Yeah,

the NFL And obviously now we've got a tremendous group of of defenders. First of all, our our dbs have really stepped up, you know, and you know, Cheeto has always been a big force there. Mike Hilton, Cam Taylor, Britt has really come on this last year. Uh, DJ Turner's really stood up as well, and so I'm really proud of can him and and you know, he's got great, great ball skills, tremendous ball skills, and so when the ball's in his area, he's usually got a

great chance to go get that thing. And so happy that he did. What was the difference near the goal line for your defense today? What do you think was the game? You know, it's it's almost like just because the team gets in there at the three yard line, it's not out here we go, it's it's seven points. There was a real I really think our defense believes, worst case we're holding Humber three here, you know, in best case, we're getting the ball out, you know, and that

that's going back to that New England game last year. You always feel like these guys have such an attitude to find a way to get that ball out and not just be satisfied giving up any points. It's turnover on downs and it's get the ball out. And I feel that. And it didn't we didn't strip it out or anything, but we tried. I saw a lot of good a lot of good plugs at the ball there and and just really proud of the job that our defense did. They stepped up big time as

to why offensively, guys weren't. You know that that's a really good question. That's a really good question. You know what, We'll have to watch it and see because you felt like, you felt like we had some opportunities. You felt like some times that we weren't in a great flow. But it's it's really hard for me to put my thumb on it, and I'll

have to, you know, we'll have to check it out. And the good news is we found a way to I walked off the field and I had, you know, I texted Steve Speck yesterday, the Saint X coach, you know, they had they had to win on the road, and I said, a great job, and he said, it's better to win ugly than lose pretty. And I mean that was the first thing that hit me when I walked up the field to day was at times it felt ugly, especially on offense. But but again our defense stepped up and made some

big plays for us that I allowed us to get out of there. So you know, it is it's good. You know, it's like I said, we we kind of stubbed our tow you know, starting this race off, and we're gonna continue to pick up steam. And and again there's days where our defense is going to lead the charge and lead us to victory. There's times that the offense is going to reciprocate that. There's time special team's gonna take over. And I think good teams just find ways to do it.

And and right now we're at that three and three mark, going into a buy get a chance to get healthy, and then and then hit the surge after the buyer. Starting in San Francisco. There's I mean the wins Ana losses. To be honest with you, we draw from all of them equally. Really, I think, you know, we've just got a lot of confidence as a team that will figure out a way at the end to close it out. And uh, this was one of those games. We had a good lead the whole game, had to lead the whole game,

and defense was able to close out for us. Zach on the performance by the defense and Dave, I don't think we can talk about it enough. Just I mean, of what they did in the red zone defensively yesterday, I don't think it's an overstatement. I don't recall another performance that depth. I've seen one goal line stand, maybe two goal line stand but what they did in the second half yesterday in the red zone. That's one of the

most impressive defensive things you'll ever see. It really is. And when you think about how the game started down the field they go, the Seattle Seahawks and they just punch it in from the lower zone and lou anorumo Is he's out on the football field greeting his defensive players as they come off the field in not a very happy manner. I mean, he was upset with them giving up that drive to start the football game. And that was it. That was it was. It was done from that point in time in terms

of finding the end zone for the Seahawks. Five possessions. That's the only touchdown and it happened in the first drive of the game. The other four possessions that occurred in the second half a field goal, two interceptions, no an interception and stop on downs twice, a field goal and interception Mike Hilton in the end zone and stop on four downs two different times. Three takeaways literally in the low red zone. Unbelievable, pretty dang impressive. We'll take

a time out and continue. There's more to get to. Bengals line on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW Welcome back to Bengals line of this Monday night on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW im Lance, but callister, he is Dave Lapham. The Bengals now on the buy. The rest of the AFC North will be in action. The Ravens will be home to the Lions, the Steelers will be at the Rams, and the Browns will be at the Colton. Boy, you

look at the scrum of the AFC North right now, Dave. The Ravens four and two, the Steelers three and two, the Browns three and two, and the Bengals three and three certainly in the mix. And it's as I said at the start of the show, three and three never looks so good based on where this team once was and the ominous feel and the uncertainty of Joe's calfway back when. Yeah. Absolutely, and that's the good news.

With the bye week, Joe will now have two full weeks of healing and like they said during practice, as long as he doesn't retweak it, it's going through the healing process. Because he's doing the rehab work as well. You'd have to think that when he comes back after that bye week, going out to San Francisco, He's going to be very very close to one hundred percent. You know, he's never been one hundred percent. He's going

to be very very close. And that's a that's a must I must have because, like you said, Cisco, then Buffalo comes to Cincinnati, Houston at Baltimore, Pittsburgh at Jacksonville. Man, that's a that's a run. That's a run in Baltimore on Thursday night, Jacksonville on Monday night, both away games. That's gonna be tough. There's gonna be long week, short week to deal with travel with both of them. Traveling out to San Francisco will be a you know, a challenge as well. Uh, it's it's

going to be a Donnybrook. I mean, the division race is going to come right down to the end in the last game of the season on January seventh, Cleveland Browns in Cincinnati. There is just not a in the division. There's just whether it be the Ravens or the Steelers of the Browns, nobody clearly jumps out in and scares you. I think they all have issues. And the Ravens won yesterday. They had one touchdown of the kick six

field goals. Right, the Steelers have had injury issues. We know the injury issue, the uncertainty of Deshaun Watson with the Browns, and they somehow win yesterday with PJ. Walker. But there's not a team that stands out that kind of puts their hands on their hips and says we are the class of the AFC North right now. Yeah, and and really on a league wide basis, that's the case. I mean, yesterday was upset day.

Yep. The final two undefeated is went down and and the you know, the forty nine ers, you know they were one of the they fall into that category. And it's a it's the Cleveland Browns to get it done against the forty nine ers. Like I said, you look at it, it's like, all right, boy, that victory against San Francisco, that's a

tough get Cleveland. That's like a win and a half right now to beat the San Francisco forty nine ers, because you got to figure how many, how many how many AFC North teams will the forty nine ers lose to. But the fact is, the good news is it's not really a win and a half because it's not a division opponent, it's not even a conference opponent.

But it is a hell of a football team that's playing as well as anybody in the National Football League. And that is a win that makes everybody sit up and take notice of at Cleveland Browns defense, which is unbelievable. Yeah, what they did to Perty yesterday, Party was twelve of twenty seven for one hundred and twenty five yards. They sacked him three times, they

picked him off. Quarterback rating fifty five point three yesterday. And when you lose your two top weapons, Deebo Samuel and and most importantly McCafferty, I mean McCaffrey's he's leading in the National Football League in rushing, leading the National League in first downs, leading the National League in first downs rushing. I mean this, this guy is. You lose him. And then Deebo Samuel, who's a Swiss Army knife extraordinaire. He can do anything, really,

he can line up anywhere as a receiver. He can also line up in the backfield and run the football. You lose both of those weapons. That was a tough, tough deal for Party going against a defense as good as the Cleveland Browns. I mean, Cleveland is making they're making a statement saying, hey, don't forget about us. You guys are talking about San Francisco's defense, You're talking about Philadelphia's defense. What about us up here in Cleveland?

And Jim Schwartz is getting done putting together very very good game plans, and his players are believing and they are executing an extremely high level. Final point, and I thought it was a great point you made earlier with Brian when he was here. They have this Bengals team. They have looked good in different aspects at different times, but haven't been able to piece all three phases together. I'd say common sense says that's coming with this team. This

team is too good not to be able to do that. But six weeks maybe I just can't see it continuing. When that's put together, I think there will be a notice served look out because when that happens, this is a very dangerous football team. And it's a very opportune time to take place. After the bye, you know, get rested up, get as healthy as you possibly can. They are in pretty good shape that way. They

have not been decimated by injury as such. And if they can't start stringing all three phases playing at a high level at the same time, and do it against San Francisco against Buffalo. Gonna need it. That would be a very opportune time. And if you can jump two games over five hundred in beating the forty nine ers on the road and the Buffalo Bills at home, and it's totally viable. I mean, uh, Buffalo, they didn't look like world beaters last night, There's no two ways about that. And San

Francisco, of course lost lost to Cleveland up in Cleveland. So here we go. Hopefully they do they get they get it all in sync, get in a rhythm. They talk about all you hear players and coaches all the time trying to find that rhythm, trying to find that timing, you know, and just just just a little bit off. One cylinder is just not quite clean yet. Get it done, Get it cleaned morning, get two as we head down the stretch, including game balls, the presentation. You

will hear it from the locker room. It's all ahead on Bengals Line, First Star Logistics, Bengals Radio Network. Hey, welcome back to Bengals Line on this Monday night eight Victory Monday, and we love Victory Mondays Bengals lot of the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW Absolutely Lance We love Victory Mondays and before each Bengals home game at pay Course Stadium, stop by pregame at the Banks located along Freedom wavesit the but Light Tailgates owned near

Joel nuxall Way, and then walk through the Jungle Zone powered by Toyota for face painting, games and interactive stations. Activities begin three hours prior to kick

off. Dave Big event coming up circle the calendar October twenty fourth at pay Corps and we know the can continuing spreading up awareness involving the tomorrow Hamlin situation as serious as that was, and the awareness that is being spread through various activities, and there is one coming up on October twenty fourth at pay court Day d e Y Saved the Day event. Wayne box Miller has more on that. My pleasure to have this gentleman on board. He is the director

of Training and Compliance at Centas. Brendan Klunk. Let's talk about the Save the Day event at pay Corpse Stadium and talk about Centas's role absolutely so first off, like to you know, introduce myself brind A clunkstructor print compliance from an eleven year centas employee Sinta's partner as we call him, the call of our employees Partners. See we take hi place October twenty fourth, Tuesday at

pay Corpse Stadium. We're gonna have two sessions, one at five thirty pm as well as one at six forty five pm on that October twenty fourth. And how did this event come together? You know, as you said, partners, because it's very important CPR and learning CPR and wake of Damar Hamlin last year. Yeah, absolutely, and you know it really came about because of Damar's event and understanding how important it is to spread awareness, you know,

for this and make sure people have the tools to perform CPR. And I really believe that everyone has the courage in them to act and save a life. You know, however, we realize how important is to have the confidence and the skills to act in those situations. So, you know, these type of events are really important to make sure that people have those skills and confidence necessary to save a life if it ever happens. Okay, So who's conducting the events? I'm sure that they have a lot of experience in

this area. Well, absolutely so. Our syntas volunteers you know, will be conducting you know, the events. They're all CPR certified. Our instructors are trained certified instructors. We actually train over three hundred thousand people every year on CPR, and our ads and CPR training actually save one life per week on average. Show we're gonna have phenomenal instructors there to make sure that everyone

is really comfortable doing these things. You know, I'm sure as a result of this, it really empowers people to be better prepared for emergency situations. Definitely, absolutely, And that's really all where all we're asking for is you have the confidence in preparation. You know. I think the same goes with Joe Burrow. He's got he's got to practice, he's got to be ready to play. He doesn't just go out to the game and say I'm here,

let's go h He practices. And I think that's the same with with CPR and these skills, is we need people to learn them, you know, be confident in them that if it ever does come to that event, which we don't want to happen, but if it does, we want to be ready. Well, I agree with you, and I think people definitely need to sign up. How can they do that? Yeah, people can go to go to Bengals dot com flat Save the Day d e Y to register spotsor on a first come, first served basis. You know, we've

got a lot of people signing up so far. There's a lot of excitement around this and this is just an, you know, an incredible thing that syntas you know, the Bengals and the AHA are doing. So as we wrap up, Brendan and I really appreciate your time, what would you like to say to encourage people to get involved in this because I'm in agreement with you that is definitely something important. Yeah, for sure, you know, I would say listen, you know, your courage and quick action can be

the difference in saving someone's life. And even if you don't know that person, you know that person you help. You know they have a family, they maybe have a husband, they have a wife. You know, they're a brother, there's maybe they're a sister, there's someone's child, they're a grandparent, right and you know your quick action can help save their life.

You know, credit arrest happens one hundreds of thousands of people every year, and we want you to be the person to act and feel confident acting if it ever happened. So this is incredibly important to me to sentas to the Bengals, to everyone really in the world. It should be so I would really encourage people to come out, be willing to learn, and then if it ever happens, you know you're gonna be ready. All right, Brendan,

we appreciate you joining us. Thank you for sharing. Everybody that's listening, Bengal Nation. Let's get on board, learn CPR and save a life if necessary or called upon. Brenda, thank you so much. Yeah, I appreciate again who dai Wayne box Miller again Save the day to Save the Day. For the event October twenty fourth at PAYCREP. We'll head down the

stretch. You'll hear game balls being presented. Will wrap things up for this Monday Night of Bengals Line on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network at seven hundred WLW. All right down the stretch we go, final segment of the the Evening a Monday Evening, a victory Monday Evening a Bengals Line and the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio Network and seven hundred WLW A reminder we are not here next week. We've got the but we're on the by next week as

well. We'll be back at you the following Monday here on Bengals Line. But in between all of that, there is always fantastic content within the Trenches. Dave tell them about it. Yes, in the Trenches with Dave Lappman, brought to you by First Our Logistics. I want to thank First Star Logistics for providing a first class studio and everything they do to help make in the Trenches work, and it will be. There'll be content during the bye

week. DJ Reader is going to be joining me here to talk about the most recent victory and the bye week and the upcoming San Francisco forty nine er game in the second half or more than half of the season remaining, and you can catch it on just about anywhere that you normally go to catch your podcast, and hopefully you'll find it worthwhile listening to get players, coaches, former players, former coaches, broadcast world folks covering the National Football League and

try to get as many varied opinions as possible. It is always good stuff, and it's always good stuff when we go inside the locker room. You can hear the game ball presentations. Let's go inside the Bengals locker room after yesterday's win. Here's how it sounded. Hey, for one second, that was not easy. But at the end of the day, you guys found a way to pull it out. Three three, half off. That team all three phases. We've all watched the tape. That's a good football team,

man. So they gave us their best shot. We gave ours. We came out on top. We were proud of you guys. Okay, a couple of guys stood out Yoshi first first touchdown defense today. Okay, the last four times they drove down there in the low red zone, one field goal, two turnover, some down, one turnover, three points the

last four red zones. That's all starts off. She yo ye, you get a game both yeah, and then the next one because the entire defense, man, game now defense for what you guys did today, Man, it's all blessing. And there's three times the defense is picking up the offense. The offense picked up the defense. Best team's taken over. That's what

great teams do. They just figure it out. Man, they figured out I need to given Sunday and right now, you guys are three and three, and I expect to see you guys fresh and ready to roll on Monday when we showed back up here, get on. That goes to all defense is ringing us down. Hey, we had a man town right the sounds of victory yesterday with game ball presentations. I know what I wanted to add in before we run out of time. I love this staff from ESPN Stats

and Info. Yose Vosh had the touchdown yesterday and his birthday. According to ESPN, the last Bengal to record a touchdown catch on their birthday, believe it or not, was Andrew Whitworth when he caught the pass from Carson Paul Frown twenty ten against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The last Bengal with the receiving touchdown on their birthday. That's a wild stat how about that. I'll tell you that you could win a lot of money with that. For your question.

That one'd be hard to hard to pull out, that's for sure. Unbelievable, big wit back in two thousand and ten. And a final note, Jamar Chase yesterday had over five catches. That's that's fourteen straight games with at least five catches, the longest active streak in the NFL. He's now got fifty catches on the season, tied for most in the National Football League, and is five hundred and fifty six yards, is seventh most in the NFL.

After a little bit of a slow start, he's in fuego, fifth player in NFL history to reach three thousand yards receiving in his first thirty five games. And he wore the seven eleven chain because he's he's always open, always opened, seven to eleven centate to him right away. That is fantastic, that's great. It can't be all right. So we go on to buy and then we come back and we'll have the forty nine Ers game to

recap. The second half of the season is going to be fun. First half waivered at times, he got a little dicey, but now good to go and make a run on the second half should be fun. I cannot wait. I do think that they've got their best football ahead of them because they have not come close yet to play that game where all three phases are in sync. Can I wait to see it unfold. Thanks for hanging out

with us, everybody. It's been Bengals Line on the first Star Logistics Bengals Radio network and seven hundred WLW
