Mammitry just phoned my phone, Yes she has my number, to tell me that she's waiting on the nurse to get her the phone that calls into the radio station. We're all sitting here waiting on you, Mamme Tree, what's up anyway? At the mercy of the fine staff at Florence Park Care for Lynette slash Mam Tree slash Patricia Owens. I don't know. She may change your name again this morning before we're done. It's hard to resist the temptation after his first week not to call Tom Bredebit at
home and tell him he's late. But I'm not that kind of guy. I just I think that to really make him feel a part of the team, you got to pull some pranks every once in a while. Dave Keaton, who's in the producer's chair today, said, that's me. We're not doing it. You know, I don't have his number, and this reason alone, I probably never will, but it did cross my mind. Actually, somebody, a customer at the bar, suggested, but Tom, you're safe. Hey, good job this first week.
We're all rooting for you, And so it goes. I was reflecting after a conversation with the powers that be this week about how much I like being on the radio. Of course, I never dreamed in nineteen eighty when I started that I would be also on a podcast. Well, I will let you know that because of the way we do this program, the music we play and the content we air is fine for on the radio, not
so much for on the podcast. So what I'm suggesting to you, and if you're listening to this you already are following my instructions or my request, make sure you tune in bright and early every Saturday morning so you don't miss a minute of the show. Because there are many elements of this program, it's just the way we do it that, for one reason or another, for legal reasons, aren't allowed on the podcast. Sixteen years ago, in January of two thousand and nine, more than sixteen years ago,
I gave up a full time radio career. And I'm not kidding you. I didn't have it taken away. I gave up a full time radio career at another company so I could continue to do this show every Saturday morning. And I'm not claiming this as some giant badge of honor. It's not. Well, look at me. Look how much I've sacrificed for my craft, which I probably have a couple of wives later. But I love doing this show so much.
When I discovered it in nineteen ninety seven and I was faced with the prospect of not getting to do this show on Saturday morning on seven hundred WLW, so I could continue making a lot more money doing the Monday through Friday every day radio, but about fifty or sixty grand a year because I love being on the radio with you every Saturday morning, and it's a wonderful cast of characters that we've been able to assemble. Dick
is hanging right now in the line. I'm waiting for mammetry Dave from Harrison with bad dad jokes a little past six o'clock, if that's not your cup of tea. Old radio Rick will be here about six fifteen or so this morning with a reception report. He's become a very dear friend of mine. The gang from Ripley either at Brookies or Snappers this morning, I'm not certain which one, but we'll find out around six thirty five from Edna
calling in with these wonderful commentaries. It's Paul Harvey plus plus plus in the modern age and he's fantastic and he's nice enough to call every week. Was something he's been preparing all week for a little after seven, environmental engineer Steve Schulty with the truth about the environment, about the climate, not the indoctrination or the narrative that's approved. Rocko Costelano with fitness tips. He's our biohacker, Tom Davis,
Tom Davis Diaries, Jim Lebarber, the music professor. At seven thirty five this morning, rock and Roll Archaeology is back Science Mike just to Tad. After eight o'clock, Brother Rick Green with a scripture from the Bible, the Word of God, maybe my favorite part of the show. Around eight fifteen or so, h gifts from Wally if I can come up with the a fairly decent or maybe not even
a decent joke. You'll hear that around a thirty five and Moe Egger will wrap things up before Mike Allen and Saturday midday, so you have your schedule, your schedule appointment radio to hear it all. Make sure you're tuned in on the radio this morning. I'm so glad to have you. It's five point fifty three
