Bengals News. Bengals have re signed Tanner Hudson to a one year contract, linebacker and Keem Davis Gaither to a one year contract, tight end Drew Sample to a three year contract, running back Trayvon Williams to a one year contract, and reguard Cody Ford to a one year contract. They have signed Von Bell to a one year contract, running back Zach Moss to a two year contract, safety Genos Stone to a two year contract, and tight end Mike Joseki to a one year contract. And lining up a lot of tight

ends, we need one good one, you know. Yeah, I have faith. I like Kaseki a lot. I think he's a very solid tight end. I thought Tanner Hudson did a really good job last year actually proving

himself. College Basketball News Ohio State felt Illinois seventy seven to seventy four of the Big Ten quarterfinals last night Texas A and M. I'll scored Kentucky ninety seven to eighty seven in the SEC quarter finals yesterday and the biggest championship today, Marquette faces Yukon at Madison Square Garden at six thirty in the ACC Championship. NC State hit a three at the buzzer to send their game vers Cortinue to overtime, where they pulled out a victory. Their reward is a battle

Now. How tall is he? Dj Burns? He's probably six' nine, six nine and three hundred. He is six' nine, Yes, he's two, says two seventy five, but I'd say closer to the three. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, my god. I tell you who else is just a physical freak. Is that Edie guy out of Purdue,

Zach Edy. He's just hard to defend because he's not one of the string being big men. I mean he's guinea, but I mean he's big enough to and he knows how to play the big man way around the basket, no doubt about it. That's all the fouls you need. eight It's tradio on a Saturday morning edition. Our first item for sale my White Privileged card. Over fifty years old but in mint condition, never been used, Never have used that thing. The reason I'm selling it. It hasn't done anything for me. No free college, no free food, no free housing, no free anything. Basically, had to go to work every day of my life, and we're talking about what forty six, forty seven years, paying a boatload of taxes to carry those who choose not to work.

If interested, I do prefer cash, but I'm willing to do an even trade for a victim card, which seems much more widely accepted and comes with countless benefits. Any takers the Gary Jeff White Privileged Card. I've often wondered what that is exactly, white privilege never has really done. Like I

said, I've never gotten anything free for being white. Now, people of other ethnicities or skin pigmentations can't say that that they've never gotten anything for their ammenable characteristics, which none of us can help one way or the other. So anyway, the white privilege card, it's time to time to let it go. Call one eight hundred god junk because it's not doing any good for me or anybody who looks like me. Sorry to disappoint, I wonder where

the lovely lady Lynette is. Usually we've heard from her by now, but then with the myriad issues that she has with her phone on an almost weekly basis, there's no telling. And there as I spoke it into existence, there she is on the line. Now, Liam, that was freaky, wasn't it? As soon as soon as I you're welcome to interject, Liam, But as soon as I mentioned her name is like beetlejuice, she was there, correct, without hesitation. It was immediately popping up on the cow

screen. People think of that that we're jacking them, but no, it's real. Good morning, Lynette, Good morning darling. How are you, my dear? I got grace up in the bed. I think I'm lower, laying too long. Cool, get yourself comfortable, for by all means, get yourself comfortable. But you're always told me to set up in your bed, and I talked to you. Well, it probably sounds better, sounds like you got more more power. Yeah, yeah, So do you have anything to sing for us this morning? Oh? Yeah, okay,

is there before you start singing? Is there any news from this week from Lady Lynette. Well, we had our uh Saint Tatchicks stay party yesterday, Yes, and we had a good time. We had that green drink, punch shoe and drink and it tastes pretty good, yes, ma'am. So anyway, if you're gonna sing, go ahead and do it. Baby. We come this far by face, leaning on the law, trusting his holy work. He's never he's never failed. Yes, sing, oh oh oh, captain around. We come this far by face at my boy. Hey,

baby, you're always beautiful to me. Thank you, dear love you. All right. That's the Lady Lynett at Florence Park Care this morning. And Dick is hanging. We'll get to him in moments. Hi. I'm Henry Winkler. My eyes are very important to time for some picking and grinnin with our friend from the north, Dick from Dayton. Good morning, Dick, good morning, good yeah, I said Patrick's Day to all, and a good night. Well it's actually Saint Patrick's Eve, Saint Patrick's clause.

But that's that's fine. Tomorrow's Saint Patrick's Day. How are you celebrating and do you celebrate Saint Patrick's Day? Dick? Well, we had a show. We had a show Thursday over by where when the heck was it over by the Freeze Pavilion, and it was a Senior citizens and I've never in my life, my gosh, there was probably fifty five people and we had somebody gave me a bead. They ran out of the green hats, but we just rocked and the back row, I said, in the back row.

We wanted to thank the back row, as she said. Somebody in this group has started a mandolin. But we talled Eiven. We told even the you and he's just he's just playing those ripping those songs up. Oh gee, I'm telling you. At the end we in with's rolling in by baby's arms. Oh my gosh, you you know you and I did rolling in my sweet baby's arms. Yeah. A year ago at the anniversary party, when you came down to huddles, you were on your You're on your

mandolin, I believe. Yeah. And I was there singing, and yes, it was one of the hits of the whole day. You and me rolling in My sweet babe is rolling Is you want to hear something? Yeah? My friends I meet at McDonald's every day, Eddie, Mary, Mike, and then there's a couple others. But Tom, one of the girls he sees comes from Cincinnati. We went over to the Moves in Miami Forore Gary Jeff this band I've never heard. They were called the way they played

The truck Commander west Side Jim is out and about this morning

Maybe we'll get a report from him in a moment, But of course, first things first, it's Saint Patrick's day weekend and my favorite joking leprechaun Dave from Harrison Top of the morning to you Davy, Bye Laddie, how the faith in mcgre are you Aaron Gobralis? Are you are hob nobbin with them okayes and the mcgillicotties. I don't really get along with the mcgillicutties and the mccayhees. Yeah, take him or leave him, not if they're drunk. Hey, what kind of spell? What kind of spells

do leprecauns use? Lucky charms? Oh? Yeah, why should you always have a leprechaun in your garden? They have green thumbs, They have green thumbs, Dave Green green thumbs? What kind of what kind of baseball do leprechauns play only in the only little league? Because there we we we lads. Yeah, I see, I see those are from those are from day from Dayton, Day from Harrison. Very very good, very good. Well, what what do what do green yetties get from sitting on the ice too

long? I'm not sure polaroids? Did you? Did you just say polaroids? Yes, for green yetties. I like that. Okay, did you hear about the man that fell into an upholstery machine? That sounds horrific. It's okay, he's he's fully recovered now. And Gary Jeff, have you ever wondered, uh, what what award was given to the inventor of knock knock jokes? The Nobel Prize? There you go, then go all right, three threes and magic number. What are you doing this week? What

are you doing this weekend? Davy? Uh, tonight's colorine gala that seg is going to host. Oh, that's right, I didn't know what is this col Raine gala that's going on. That's something about one hundred years worth a colorin Oh, colraineism, cardinalism. But uh, but it sounds like fun. So so you're going to be there, Yes, and we'll be there SEGM. That's what I understand. Well, I I hope it's not a long program. You guys could be there all night. I understand.

All right, thank you, have a good day, goodbye, Get off my phone, truck commander. Are you there? Oh? Gary Jeff? The hell do I follow that? Well, that's why I put you on, because you were the only person that could logically do it. Oh. I don't know about the logic thing, Gary Jeff, But yeah, there's nothing logical about this. Is there any bids on your white privilege card yet? Well? You know I did get a response from my friend JR.

John Ryder. He said white privilege is something held by elitist and delusional coastal liberals that makes them believe they should dictate. Wee HOI POLOI commoners. I would make you an offer, but you can't sell something you don't have. Oh. I wonder if Miss c you'll put in a bid. Miss see I haven't heard that name in years. Is she still alive? I have no idea. I guess the Hennessy stock went down. If she isn't well yeah, knocking back all that kanyak exactly. That can take some years off

your life. I've heard it's today, Gary Jeff, it's today and Tuesday. The Commander and his cruise are out in about so look out. I got that the Colleen runs our cruise, and we got Dave Saint Charles and a numerous bunship, Mary Coole and all these people are driving trucks. Stay off the highways, keep your children safe. Does this mean that I don't have to watch another Bernie Marino or Frank LeRose or Nolan commercial after Tuesday, We'll only have to watch one of them. I can't handle it, Gary

Jeff, I really can't. I mean, this year has been so swamped. Usually their swamp with the wines, but this year with those three, is impossible to even turn on the TV. What's amazing to me is how much money is being spent on this exactly just a job that pays what a buck eighty a year or something like that. Well, yeah, and it's it's all about the lobbyist. It's all about k Street and who is going to be kinder to the people that come begging for a power Yeah, power,

power baby, all right? Well, any any quick little thing here before we go, Jim. No, I mean that's about it. I just wanted to call in and tell you I am up and I'll be delivering those ballots to the west side of town and and everybody get out and vote. It is important, even though it's a primary. All right, very good west side. Jim has spoken, you have your marching orders, so go March. I know what you're going through, Will. He knows what

I'm going through. Worry, uncertainty, misinformation and more. Help me, Willing. Some would like to keep you in a constant state of fear. I hate those people, but not me. The Great America. That's why I love Willing. I'm here to ease your month than you will provide honest information and conversation. Thank you, Willy, and raise your spirits as we triumph together. Really is a great American. Bill Cunningham, Monday at twelve

noon on seven hundred WLW take a look under your bed. Find stuff under there? What about jobs? No, now try your basement. There's a pair of overalls at overall. You're not sewing too anymore. A perfectly good laptop that hasn't sat in your lap in months and even more stuff, but still no jobs. Well you really have both. See stuff is defined as household articles considered as a group. Sometimes this stuff is no longer needed.

Wait, no longer needed. That can't be right, because remember those jobs you were looking for. Those are really needed, and they're the stuff inside your stuff, even inside that winter code that moved with you to Phoenix. Our job is to unlock those jobs, and it starts when you donate your stuff to your local Goodwill. Here's how we do it. When you donate to Goodwill, we sell your stuff to provide job training for people right here in your community. So just by teaming up with good Will, you help

create jobs. And isn't that worth parting with the leftover key tar from your eighties cover band? Goodwill donate stuff, create jobs. Find your nearest donation center at Goodwill dot org. A message from Goodwill in the ad council Jeff Wander Nissan dot com. It would be a sunny Saturday, good morning. How you doing here, Jeff? Who's looking for radio songs for old radio? Rick? And this one not familiar with it? I like Kings of Leon is called radio active. Let's tune came? Oh god, oh yes,

the follow will Brothers at work again. He still has no idea what this has to do with Radioplay seven hundred WLW at six sixteen and Gary Jeff Walker on the Saturday morning edition and the aforementioned Rick Washburn waiting on the line. Good morning, Ricky, how are you hey? Good morning Gary Jeff, speaking of nothing to do with radio. Happy birthday to Marie and myself celebrating our twenty ninth, and happy bartender versary to Christa two point oh tomorrow.

That's right, she began bartending at Huddles with me on Saint Patrick's Day and I think it was. She says it's nine years. I don't think it's quite nine, maybe eight. But she's not even awake now to set me straight. But yes, it is an anniversary for her of sorts, and happy, very happy anniversary to you and Marie. The fact that she hasn't smothered you in your sleep yet is just remarkable, and I hope that she allows you to live a few more years. I think you left the

words successfully out of that set. Successfully smothered you in your sleep? Oh god? So so, I mean, what are you guys doing for for the anniversary? Anything? Special, not particularly. We're gonna go visit the kid and down in Bloomington, Indiana, and I just just hang out for the day. Very good. That's that's all you need. As long as you guys know it's special to you and you're together, that's all that matters. Really. I did have a question for you, and i'm you guys

are in the in the box of totality for the eclipse? Are you not? Where you live? You're close to it anyway. I have no idea what those words meant in that order. All Right, April the eighth, Monday, April the eighth, about three o'clock in the afternoon, Okay, there will be a total solar eclipse, and there is a swath of the country, which I believe Indianapolis is right in the center of oh Okay.

For a full eclipse, I think Indianapolis is included in that. You just got to go a little west of Cincinnati, and the farther west you go into Indiana or just north of us, like Sydney Trenton, Ohio. The closer you get to that box of totality or the window of totality, you can get up to four minutes of total darkness in the middle of the day, and I was just wanting to know not to put you and Marie on

the spot. If Krista and I could come there and view the eclipse that day, well, of course, I will check and see if we're in the in the zone and absolutely the welcome that will be out for you guys. Oh okay, Well, and I figured as such, but I figured i'd put you on the spot on the Yeah. She and Maurice less lead too, so I can get away with that too. Okay. So reception report, You got anything to report to us this morning? Yeah, this is a well, it's a it's a five by five report, which is

loud and clear, and it's a nineteen thirty nine Packard Bell. Packard Bell was a unique radio manufacturer for two reasons. One is that they were located in Los Angeles, and most of the radio manufacturers in the twenties, thirties and into the forties were primarily either Midwest or East coast, and Packard Bell

really focused on that. With their second unique part their stationized dial. And so the dial is very crowded with the call letters at the top of the there's the frequencies marked and then above it it says California, and it has all the California call letters at the various frequencies, and below it it says Pacific Northwest as opposed to the Atlantic Northwest. I yes, all the call

letters below the frequencies. And then it also has two short wave bands way up above one and the other way down below, and the magic Eye to right in the middle of all of it. And naturally they had to throw their name in there, and then all the countries that you could have picked up in nineteen thirty nine on a short wave and where they're located on the band. The thing requires a magnifying glass and the translation manual in order to

figure out what it all means. But from afar it looks pretty darn impressive, and it's got buttons, and it's got knobs and dials and all kinds of stuff. Does it happen? Does it happen to have a designation for WLW? It does not have a single W designation because it's all either California Pacific Northwest. Yeah, And somehow this radio ended up in the Midwest. So the owner luckily jokingly said, well, I guess it won't work here. Obviously Pall Crosley who founded WLW, and we are right here, I

believe, on another auspicious anniversary of WLW. WLW coming on the air the first time in nineteen twenty two. This is right about the time of the birthday for seven hundred WLW. Crosley made radios so people could listen to his radio station. Packard Bell, you said, you said, Packard right? Is it? Is it Packard Bell? Yes? Packard is it same? Is it like a branch of the car company. No. And it's also unrelated to the Packard Bell computer company that was popular in the nineteen eighties.

H it was a forerunner of that, maybe or somebody liked the name and so they picked it up. Since it since expired, I got you, all right, man, we'll listen to you with Crosley. Filka have done that way too. There's if you buy a brand new Filka or a brand new Crowsley has nothing to do with the originals, unfortunately, No, sadly, listen. I have a fantastic anniverse for you and Marie. All right, thank you, thank you very much, on a great weekend. All

right, Buddy, Rick Washburn Old Radio Rick at gmail dot com. If you want to get in touch. At six twenty three, let's talk about Scott's loan. When do you listen? I like to listen when I want to feel smarter because I'm surrounded by idiots at work. I like that. That's good. I listen when I want a good time, not a bad idea. I like to eat cheese when i'm listening, usually cheddar. Ooh, I might try that one. I like to listen when I'm wearing something

Heading to uh one of my favorite spots around here anyway, within the next fifty miles east to Howe now Brown County and the lovely little village of Ripley, Ohio on the banks of the Ohio River and the gang at Brookies. Good morning, good morning. Oh you guys are sounding like you got a full compliment today. Who's all there?

Who's in attendance? Well, there's there's three of us there. That makes a crowd. So yeah, yeah, Darren, Darren here, Sherry's here and do a stroking or beaver here just a few minutes ago. And yeah, I'm here too. Well, it's good to talk to you. It's always good to speak with you on a Saturday morning. Is there any anything special going on there in the heart of Brown County? Instead of saying

there's nothing going on, Darren actually has to night. Joe Colls bandit eight o'clock, and of course, on Wednesday night, down about halfway on the cards, about twenty four to twenty five to go on the Queen of Hearts, and right now the numbers hanging around one hundred and twenty nine thousand, probably closing in on one hundred and forty by Wednesday night at seven thirty. Goodness gracious. And you got to be there to win, right, No, you don't have to be there to win entirely. If you're here,

yes, you'll win. You'll get ninety per so of the pot. If you're not fifty the pot. Oh and if you get your name drawn but it's not the Queen of Hearts, you still come out of winter. Well I like those hots pretty good. It still gives away one thousand dollars that night anyway. Given if the Queen doesn't hit, all right, all right, well it's it's it's almost worth a trip. I'm just trying to decide if I got anything to do Wednesday or not, and I may not.

And the best part is weather's gonna be good, so we'll have surey him that one. Yeah, yeah, really nice for the next few days. And it's gonna be cool though, but this it's gonna be sunny, no brain for the parade tomorrow and Saint Patrick's fright, that'll be good. Well you doude do you? Ripley has the Saint Patrick's Day Parade? No, but I graduated from Saint Pats in Maysville and they have a little parade and it's gonna be Monday. Oh okay, well that doesn't make any sense.

All right, it's very good. You know. The Cincinnati Saint Patrick's Day Parade steps off at noon today and this is a tradition that's been going on for got fifty some years here in Cincinnati, every year except for the two COVID years in twenty and twenty one. But they're back at it today on Marringway and looking forward to that. Well, it would be fun. The reason they do it on a school day is because they let all the kids,

all the kids, all the greats march through town. So that's why it has to be on a you know, a Monday or a Friday or something like that. You know. So right there you go, All right, well listen, you take care of your beaver and each other, and we'll we'll talk soon. Guys. Thank you, be Saint Patrick's Day, weekend, everybody, Thank you Bye. Embark on a journey through the most absurd moments of the human story with the forecast from like certified meteorologist is pretty much the same. Sunshine today. We will reach a high of sixty three after this morning being in the thirties. Tomorrow morning forty for the low on Saint Patrick's Day, the high tomorrow only fifty. We will have sunshine all day and Monday mostly cloudy. Sky's a chance of evening or afternoon snow showers

and the high temp only thirty nine. It's thirty four nownd Wlwport. We have William Tomlinson's standing a little bit emotionally crushed after UK losing in the SEC Conference tournament. Life is meaningless. So before you get into the sports here full board, Liam, I understand that you're taking gambling advice from our former producer Elliott Sadly, and why would you listen to Elliott because he doesn't have a great track record. You know, they say great minds think alike.

And you know, we were on the text and app texting back and forth we had we were coming up with some stuff how we're gonna get rich and beat the matrix. You know. So last night I said, I like Washington State and he said, Washington State is my play of the year. He seems to have a lot of play of the years going around. Yeah, play of the year means play of the year. It doesn't happen every week. It happens every year. Once a year, you have one play

at one play of the year. And that was a bum steer. I understand, Washington State plus three and they lose by five his play of the year. Yeap, What have you learned? Young Liam? Don't listen to the zebra. That's why he doesn't have a job here anymore. I guess Elliott, Elliott, I love you, you know, gee, just he's just a roly poly mound of fun, that's all he is. Uh So, what else we got into sports world? Do you? Bengals re signed

tight end Tator Hudson to a one year contract. That's a great that's a great move. I thought that, you know, he was the reason that they were winning games they probably should have lost. Yeah. No, I thought he was a great addition to tight endre him last year and it makes up for what kind of was a miss with earth Smith Junior. So they got they got Drew Sample Yes to a three year contract extension. Some people say he was a bust of a draft pick, but I mean, here's

on his second let a three year contract after his rookie contract. And another tight end got signed by the Bengals, Mike Joseki from the or from the Patriots. He was on the Dolphins at one point, YEP. And then safety Geno Stone who picked off Joe Burrow in the late game in the first game versus the Ravens at home that we lost twenty seven to twenty four on the game winning drive. So he's on our SWAT. He's on our team

now. Resigned safety Von Bell from the Panthers. Very good sign halfback Zach Moss to a two year contract, which the AFC North is loyter with running backs now Derrick Henry to the Ravens. Naji Harris is on the Steelers with Warren showing signs of promise, and Nick Chubb comes back from injury in the

for the Cleveland Brown So it's a pretty big running back division. Yeah, but then again, you know, running backs are often a dime a dozen in the NFL in the ultimate analysis because while they while they are all the people you mentioned definite contributors to an offense. But it's all about the QB to me, Yes it is. But I think the Bengals are very well matched for every other team outside the AFC North, and I hate the way that the AFC North has just spilt so much different than the rest of the

NFL. The Red scot rained out yesterday and they are back in action this afternoon. Yes, the host the Mariners today at four oh five, and you can listen to that game right here on seven hundred WLW. We are twelve days away from opening Day. Will you be attending the game or parade? No, I will be. No, I don't. I don't like crowds unless the crowd is there to see me. And you witnessed that it's six forty five at seven hundred WLW. Tristate Chevrolet buyers. It's a buyer's

but Nanza at my cast. Early voting going on in Ohio in the primary Tuesday, of course, official election day, and I am just already sick of it all. You it's mind numbing, especially in a presidential election year. This will be the most lengthy presidential election ever. They're predicting, but it just seems NonStop to me and has for years. I am so sick of politics and politicians. It's why I voted for Donald Trump. Why will

again if he's not in jail. But as producer Liam was making the point to me earlier this morning, every single well not every single but it seems that every single candidate for the Ohio Senate seat on the Republican side is making reference to Donald Trump in one way or another. Bernie Marino Trump endorsed Bernie Marino, Frank LeRose, Bernie Marino's a crook sounds familiar. And Dolan not a fan of Donald Trump. The polarization that goes on just over one man.

I like Donald Trump. But as Liam pointed out, if you're running for an office that's not the president and you're not Donald Trump, why do you pretend that you are or you're the anti Trump? Don't care about it. Who are you not in relation to Donald Trump? But who are you as a person. As an individual, what do you bring to the table, what do you believe? And I'm just sorry that it's all crazy. I say this as a someone would call me a right wing MAGA supporter,

Okay, so be it. I am. I'm not a communist, Marxist or globalist. I am an America first kind of person in the way that I think. But I really don't care if Donald Trump's endorsed a candidate or not. And I really don't care if that candidate loves or hates Donald Trump. Has nothing to do with it would have nothing to do with my selection if I was voting in Ohio, and it certainly doesn't have anything to do with my electoral choices when I'm voting in my home state, the Bluegrass Commonwealth

of Kentucky. But I wish that presidential campaigns were living it to about two months and even shorter for Senate campaigns, and how much money has been just thrown into the rabbit hole of getting elected in a primary. Nobody shows up west side Jim, who was a truck commander at the Board of Education. It says, FYI, useless info. Yesterday before the Sunday early voting, usually thirty five hundred. Yesterday they had seven hundred, so one fifth of

what usually shows up for a primary. He said, Wow, nobody cares. And all this money is being spent and no one cares. Ray and Lovelin, good morning, Good morning, Gary, Jeff. How you doing, my brother. I'm just I'm sick of politics. I'm sick of the election cycle. I'm just, you know, let's just get it over with, get it on, get it over with. This might be the longest one ever. You know, only in America, can you you know not

which way is it? As president? You come in with no money and you leave a millionaire, or you come as a b in air and you leave a millionaire. I don't know. But the you know, speaking to your point, uh in Jim's point on these primaries, I tell you what really really concerns me these you know, tax levies, whatever the whatever it might be for schools or anything. And I know they all need to be

funded. But do you ever notice that if a levee gets on the ballots, they usually do it in the off years, in the time where there's like the lowest or the low turnout in voting. Yep, and they will put it up to be voted on. If it gets turned down, it's no big deal. They just put it back on, and they put it back on, they put it back on until just enough of the people that want to get it passed make sure they get out and vote. But whenever

they get passed, they never take them away that way. They just run them and run them and run them until they get passed and the voter turn not. Just scared the pants off of me, because it's the apathy is just so I don't know, it's just scary. It's almost like nobody cares. But then when you get your property tax bill, everybody cares, right, I don't. Maybe we should hold election day April the sixteenth, or whenever the property tax deals come out. I don't know it is. I

hate to go there, but you brought it up, my brother. Yeah, yeah, no, no, I mean it should be April Fool's Day, because that's what the voters feel like, more often than not, sadly are fools. We're all being let around by the nose under false pretenses, false charges, and all kinds of other nonsense. And they're spending millions upon millions, hundreds of millions, and then too the billions of dollars for an office that, even at the presidency pays what four hundred k year? Doesn't

make much sense? Thank you, Ray, Love you buddy, Tim Shimming you know Carver? Or what's going on? What's happening? Tell me eat highland beef? Well I haven't yet, but I do have some. Now, Now, what is the best way to prepare highland ground beef? Since you sent me a couple of little frozen patties of this, I still have not cooked it. It's still in the freezer. What is the best heat? Low heatings? Wait, this is ground beef though, I mean sure

you don't want to overcook it? No, no, because they're meanings. There's hardly there's hardly no fat in it, and you're paying for the meat, not the fat. Fat as flavor, my friend. Now there's still a little bit in there. Okay, very good. What else can you report? If anything? From up near the lake where it's cooler by the

lake. It's thirty five here this morning. Yeah, you're about right there with us sunflower festivals in July. Yes, well, I mean and I remember last year when you announced the sunflower festival and you had the the donkeys with you and uh, you're you're Highland Highland beef cattle and and and you

told us about this. Now, with the success of last year's Sunflower Festival, I'm imagining, even though it's in July, if you want a hotel room anywhere around the Sunflower Festival, the time would be now probably to reserve that that room. Yeah, because I know how many And where is this in Lindsay, Ohio. It's in Lindsay, Ohio. Wherever the hell that is. It's uh, south of the lake. Okay, well we're south of the lake. It's by Freemant, Ohio. Okay, Fremont. I

know Fremont. I've been to. It is the home of Rutherford B. Hayes, who was president in eighteen seventy six, a protege of Abraham Lincoln. His home is there, his presidential palace and his library is there. And I love Fremont, Ohio. So if close down. Bonson is from o'connibor, which is north of Fremont. Yes, I'm familiar with Okcarboro. I've been there. That's the guy that used to date the farmer's daughter, right, the farmer's daughter, who was pretty very nice, very nice,

very nice. That's right because as you mentioned one time, when I asked if she was a looker, you said, have you seen Bonson? I love that. Tim. Have a glorious Saturday, and thank you, sir. You do a wonderful and have a wonderful day. All right, Thanks, We're well on the way. We'll be talking to Steve Shulty environmental stuff and also heads up for today's Cincinnati Saint Patrick's Day Parade, which steps off at noon Central and Mirroring Way, and once again Steve's son Chris is the

head hot show there for the event. Good times and nice weather today really once it warms up a pit seven d wlw sneezing, coughing, stuffy nose, runny nose, post nasal drip, interrupted sleeping. I just was groggy at the end of the day. Red roses too, I see them blue fuming, and I think to myself, what a wandoo in Indie environmentally speaking, how are we doing this morning, mister Schulte, Good morning, gad jet better and I deserve as always so, your son Chris is leading the

charge once again today, starting at noon Central and mirroring Way. The Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Cincinnati right with Betty Ross's Honorary Grand Marshall. And this is the fifty sixth year for the parade. Yep. So as you said, it starts at Central and East Marringway, heads east on East Marringway to Joe Knuxall Way up Joe Knuxall Way to and then turns west or left to

Freedom Way and ends at Race Street. So all you have to do is go to Saint Cincy Saintpatsparade dot com and all the informations there whatnot to and where, Like you said, to enjoy the parade. The weather's going to be great by time a step off comes at noon yep. So I'm not complaining. I've been at this parade when it was snowing, so yeah, and you know what, it is going to warm up as we get through the morning. We're hoping to get to a high of sixty three today.

I don't know if it'll be that warm at noon, but you know, pretty pretty nice weather comparatively, suns out all is great. Yes, sir, you want to talk about the possible breakdown or the demise of EVS. Yeah, we're seeing more and more evidence that this could be happening. Yeah, and you just can't make this stuff up. Gary Jet again. This comes from Hartland dot org the Climate Change Weekly number four ninety nine, March

eighth, headline is the belt tolling for ev Mania. And one of the things that I learned on this, the first electric vehicle, or the lucomotive, it was tested in eighteen thirty seven, really couldn't compete with steam engines powered by cole. The first rechargeable battle was created in eighteen fifty nine and still couldn't compete. Of course, the electric cars actually predated electric I mean,

gas and diesel power vehicles couldn't compete. And it, you know, goes on and on and despite all the subsidies, I mean we're talking to billions upon billions of subsidies. Looks like chickens maybe coming home. Garus stock price of Tesla is declining as well as as Tesla's earnings. There was at

the Rivian is laying off workers. Is its stocks have dropped after losses of one point five billion dollars, and Fiskkerve, who was an early entrant, has looked like it's going to start going through its second back bankruptcy and its stocks have fallen to the penny stock level. Of course, the dealers are dealing with lots full of these cars that aren't selling. Ford and GM of cut production. Even Apple broke. Apple has canceled all its EV projects despite

spending a couple billion dollars on it. Well, and as you're Steve, as you mentioned, uh billions of dollars in subsidies, that's taxpayer money. So not only are the investors' money is going away, but our money is going away up into nothing. Please continue. You're talking about HURTS. Hurts

is cutting its EV plate demotic and replacing it with internal combustion cars. And we already talked about stories from Sweden, Iowa, Michigan, and Wyoming where their electric bots has failed to complete to do the work and they're being shut down. And the interesting but even in a place like good old England, you know that doesn't get really cold there like it does in some places here in the United States. The Daily Mail recently reported on two different days.

First one quote Britain's ticking time bomb, how nearly two thousand electric buses worth one billion US urgent call over fears that they could burst in the flames. And the second headline is quote electric cars release more toxic emissions and gas powered cars and worse for the environment. And the first one talks about the emergency recall of eighteen hundred electric buses that are in service in England, six hundred in London alone, and the reason cause you don't know when they're going to

burst in the flames. Yeah, and that's been an issue with the batteries on these, which is another entirely good reason to steer clear. If you like your electric vehicle good, if you're driving your Tesla this morning listening, fine, but don't virtue signal and think you're doing it for the environment, because it's not doing anything for the environment. It is doing things for well, a lot of car makers who are getting money from Honny Crapolis. Yeah,

yeah, crony, crony capitalists. As Steve would say, thank you, mister Schulte. Happy Saint Patrick's Day weekend at seven thirteen. Listening to a man standing in the park isn't funny. Listening to a man standing in the park getting hit in the groin with a frisbee coach Magroin is funny. Eddie and Rocky are also funny. So when you think of getting hit in the groin coach Migroin think of Eddie and Rocky. Eddie and Rocky. Monday

afternoon at three seven hundred WLSW I'm Tiffany. I have some tips for you on how to quit smoking like I did. First, I did some reading about it. I found a lot of great advice on how to quit smoking and picked out the ways I thought would work best for me. I started by setting a quit date. Then I threw out my ash trays, lighters, and matches. I did other things too, like exercising more, and it worked, but I'd still get cravings, especially on long car rides.

To help me with that, I put a picture of my mother in my car. She died of lung cancer from smoking cigarettes when I was only sixteen. Now I have a sixteen year old daughter. That picture of my mother reminds me that I don't want to miss all the things my daughter is going to do in her life, including turning seventeen. You can quit for free help call one eight hundred Quit Now, a message from the US Department of Health and Human Services and CDC. You forecasts sunshine by this afternoon a high

of sixty three tomorrow. We are much cooler on Saint Patrick's Day. I have only fifty on Sunday and mostly cloudy Monday, A chance of some evening snow showers still being bandied about. Monday's high only thirty nine. It's thirty four. Sneezing, coughing, stuffy nose, runny nose, post nasal drip, interrupted sleeping. I just was groggy at the end of the day. Allergies and sinus congestion. We're making Jenna miserable. Then a friend recommended Neviage.

Nevage provides immediate drug free congestion relief, flushing your nasal passages with refreshing sailing and sucking out mucus, germs and other airborne irritants. Nevig helps you breathe easier, sleep better, and feel your best right away. Navage gave me instant relief. I didn't have to wait thirty minutes, I didn't have to wait an hour, ninety minutes. I didn't have to wait, I didn't have to wait a minute. I just I ran the rents and I

felt immediately. I felt better. Stop suffering from congestion and start breathing and feeling your best again with Navage. Nav Age I've had people ask me how I find relief, and I tell them Nevage immediately. This thing is amazing. Navige is available at navage dot com or at Walmart, Walgreen, CVS and rite aid. Oh that's kid fistal Oh yeah, seven hundred w l W A couple of minutes with our fitness trainer and biohacker, Rocco Costellano. Hey, Roc, what's up man? Hey Gary? Jeff? How are

you just wanting? We're talking about We're talking about NAC, which is a supplement form of sistine. I don't know what cysteine. What's cysteine? Rocco so, cysteine is an amino acid. It's an assist and any essential amino acid. But the actual name is n A setyl cysteine and n N a

styl assistine or or NAC is a supplement and was actually a drug. Well, it was made a drug back in nineteen sixty three, but has now there's a big controversy over the other years about the FDA allowing it to be a supplement again because it is it's called a conditional essential amino acid and that and that just means that that it helps to support a certain certain other amino

acids, and that would be glutifying. All right, What what does NAC actually do for you when you consume it and you've got the right amount in your system? What does it do for the bond? So what it does is it supports and also helps glutifian uptakes. So a glutifian is a super antioxidant and it helps, Uh, it helps with tissue or repair. Now most people take NAC And what is it was it was a prescribe for and still is is for is the help of the mucous aligning of the lungs.

Yeah, it helps if you've got if you restory, yeah, if you've got chronic respiratory conditions, if you want to increase your fertility perhaps and your brain health, NAC can help. And and the thing is is this naturally occurs in high protein foods right right, So so all all animal products are going to have n A C in them. And then uh, and what why we why I love it is because not too many people and absolutely no

doctors really understand NAC. And and when COVID happened, no one you know, well obviously no one knew was or or knew anything at that time, and and and this was a really great uh sub And I use it every day with a glue defiant because it's a it's a one two punch, especially in Cincinnati with the with allergies and the weather, you know, going up and down, up and down from hot to cold, hot to cold.

So so we use it. So I use it. And also because uh, when I was at a ground zero many years ago, you know, for nine eleven attacks, I developed a long issue. I actually cured that with with salt therapy. But I support it still to this day with with the n with the NAC and other glutaphians. All Right, Roco, thank you so much for for more go to train with Roco dot com time out

This week a kook from Kocomo hitting all four corners on foot. But first, some guy just spent the night in his garage after his cat trapped him inside. It was around one am that Christian Wilker went out to the garage to check on something when

his cat, Clara Belle, somehow locked him in. He tried to escape a couple of times before giving up and waiting for his sister to come home and let him out. She got there around seven am. He says he's not holding it against the cat. A lady who's famous on the internet is doing something gross. Amanda Leone is an online model, whatever that means, and she's gone viral this week for selling her used bath water, and she says she's doing it four of all things, to fund her wedding and honeymoon.

She says the water isn't for consumption, just sentimentality. And just when you think that nobody would take her up on on it, the perverts have rushed to the front. She sold out in four days. Some dude from Kokomo is making a name for himself running all across the country Forrest Gump style. Cameron Balser is running the outside perimeter of the United States and the dude is cooking. He's already covered six thousand miles and he should be done by

Michael, good morning, Good morning. So, uh success and failure I wanted to get to I didn't know if you were talking about this. Uh the SpaceX starship launch. They lost it in re entry over the Indian Ocean, I guess, but it's gone farther than any other of these starship launches that they've done in the past.

Did you follow, I know you follow that you love space stuff. Well, I watched the lift off. I watched the h I I kind of shut off. I noticed it was coming back and I think they reached a sustained orbit and then it kept uh re entry, it kind of decompressed, had the decompression issue, and it kind of uh disintegrated coming back down to Mother Earth. So each time these things left off it they get they get

closer and closer. But uh, I don't know, I don't I don't know when they're going to be ready to put a put a human on it. But uh yeah, I mean the thing about it is the people still don't We've been going into space now for over six years and putting people in space, you know, close to sixty years, over sixty years, but people still don't understand how difficult it is to break the bonds of Earth's gravity

and come back. And when people ask, you know why it's been over fifty years since we last went to the Moon, there are serious issues. I mean we found out during the Apollo, the test flight that burned up on the pad. This is this is not i thing the design, the design of their engine that the space acts. They have actually thirty three independent smaller engines that fire this rocket, and as opposed to the Saturn which had three huge, three huge cones that they that lift off of the unit.

But they they've the very first left off their engines with like half of them failed and now they're getting more successful, have mullfire and re entry they fired to come back down and it's a it's a different engineering for for well, this is this is supposedly the rocket that is going to take people, human beings back to the Moon because NASA has the contract with them, And yeah, I know, but it's been but three or four years it's been going

on now for Space AX. I mean, we we had issues with Saturn, the Saturn five rocket initially for the first couple of years. But the problems we incurred back then we kind of solved with paper and pencil and finally got it through root Athlete just to get it off the you know what was that saying that Alan Alan Sheppard when he was going off on the first first mission just a little little suborbital flight, like yeah, ninety what it was

ninety minutes? It's like, what was going through your mind? He said, to think I'm in a rocket that was built by the lowest bidder. Anything else on your on your radar this morning? We're going to next week, We're gonna we're gonna spend a couple of week, couple of six consecutive weeks talking about the eclipse. Next week we'll get into the the science of it and uh interesting aspects compared to the twenty seventeen eclipse. So we'll have

a couple of sessions on that. Well, I'm you know what I've said, my wife Chris to two point zero and I have talked about apparently there is a mass wedding being conducted by the mayor of Trenton, Ohio, which is you know, easy driving distance during the eclipse, and we're talking about that. But I'm just thinking about the logistics of traveling there and you know, all the nonsense and all the noise. So I don't know, but yeah, yeah, Mike. My comment is watching some video from the twenty

seventeen and all the people gathered around. My comment to everybody's like, just shut up and watch it. You don't need to make a comment. You'll need to go to ooh and ah. Just let it, let it occur. You don't need to film it with your phone or try to do some silly stuff like that. No, no, you know what, but it is. It is a once in a lifetime kind of occurrence. It is longer than that, and we'll discuss, all right. I look forward to

For me, sever your weather station, I'm nine first Warning Meteorologist Cameron Harten on news radio seven hundred WLW seven hundred WLW Sport William Tomlinson. The college basketball conference play wraps up this weekend, and we're on the way to the big dance.

Yeah, Conference champ week this week and last week heartbreaker for the Kentucky wild catch yesterday as they fall to Texas A. And there are you okay? I mean, I know that you've been kind of desponded this morning because the Wildcats allowed another team to score ninety seven points on them. I mean, are any of us okay? CALIPERI passionate defense, don't I just don't understand, man, I just don't get it. I like offense and offenses

the way. In twenty twenty four, but I think I could have scored ten or fifteen points on the Kentucky defense, and it's all like second chance points. It's no if the big man goes out to block a layup, no one's boxing out the backside. And the only person that did do that was Antonio Reeves, and they called him for a foul on it every time because the guy would jump in the air and he'd cut him out underneath. Liam. I have a suggestion, let's focus on the winners, not the

losers. What do we got, Well, one more loser. Ohio State felled Illinois seventy seven to seventy four in the Big Ten quarterfinals last night, and every team around here is a loser because I don't think any of them will be picked tomorrow for selection Sunday. But we got some championship games today. Big East Championship. Marquette faces Yukon at Madison Square Garden at six thirty. In the ACC Championship, NC State hit three at a buzzer to send

their game vers Virginia to overtime, where they pulled out a victory. Their reward is a battle versus UNC and the ACC Championship at eight thirty tonight Big Twelve Championship Iowa State in Houston. The one and two ranked teams meet up in the Phillips sixty six Big Twelve Championship, and that game is also tonight, all right, fantastic. They select the teams for the NCAA's tomorrow yes and we got red spring training baseball today after a rain out yesterday yep,

twelve days until opening day, rain out yesterday versus the Royals. But they are back in action. They will be hosting the Mariners today at four h five, and you can listen right here on seven hundred wlw FC Cincinnati, coming off their CONCACAF loss to Monterey, returns to MLS play, traveling to Foxboro, Massachusetts state based the New England Revolution. They actually do have a chance to win this game, even on the road, because there's nobody named

Vasquez that they'll be playing again. That man's single handed lead was on a revenge tour. The game is tomorrow at one point thirty is Pregame coverage kicks at two on ESPN fifteen thirty fantastic. One of the Rock and Roll archaeology tunes we did not get to fit in with time purposes was number one this week. In nineteen seventy five, from the Doobie Brothers, Patrick Simmons wrote,

is on the lead vocals here on Blackwater. She's ready flo oh missus sip ben, she's calling the name cat Bi shall jump in that will bomping black keep it all fast, just the same black water, keep miss sib. Won't you keep on sad black keep? Miss seven? Won't keep on shed black bod keep on musky boche? Who will make I make anything? All right? And I ain't got because I ain't in no hurry at all,

Doctor Westside Jim. Early voting underway today and the primary elections to decide who will face off against Shared Brown in the Senate race in November, among other things, and congressional race is also up for grabs. And I decried the idiocy of all of it, that the campaign answer just like the worst,

and I think about all the money that's being spent on them. It's like, geez, can you come up with something creative for a change in the answer apparently is no, it's all pro or anti Trump, which, again, as I mentioned earlier this morning, I'm a Trump guy, I'm a Trump voter. I'll be a Trump voter a third time in November hopefully. But your connections to Donald Trump do not interest me. If you are running for the Senate or the House, who are you as a candidate as

a person, That's what's important. Food for thought. Don't eat too much gifts from Wally on the Way and Moagger Before we're done on seven hundred WLW. Here's what's trending from the Iheartsports Network presented by DraftKings Fantasy Sports. In what could play significant part in deciding the top team in the West bracket, the Arizona Wildcats fall in the semi final of the Pac twelve Tournament to Oregon.

The Bengals are bringing back one of their wide receivers, agreeing on a one year deal with Trenton Irwin, who played an all sixteen games last season. And Ohio State's journey in the Big Tournament ends in the quarterfinals as Illinois manages to sink a few late breed throws to knock out the buck Eys. I'm Jadi Hafran. Check out what draftking has to offer this season with guess what the boys in summer are coming back. It's about time, isn't it?

Seven w l W looking forward to opening day, Gary Jeff Walker, You're at the home of the Reds, seven hundred w l W with mister moe Egger, who will be talking lots of Reds, lots more as time goes along. But there are other things to discuss as well, and let's

let's let's attempt that. Hey Mo, what's up well? Number one, it was interesting to see Nick Saban's press conference or interview on ni L this week and why he stepped down as a college football coach, and somebody else made the point that, you know, I think it was Dan Dakatschew, who also was a coach and football player, who said that, you know, yeah, okay, maybe the message should be coming from someone who didn't

make millions upon millions of dollars being a college football coach as Nick Saban did, but he understood some of what Nick Saban was saying, how the game has so dramatically fundamentally changed at this point because of the money that's involved. For years, let's not kid ourselves, we have used the term student athletes, but when it came to high profile athletic programs on college campuses at the big universities, in the power conferences, they were always more athlete than students.

For sure. They may have been required to go to class, and they may have been required to fulfill a commitment that they made when they agreed to a scholarship at said university or college. But yeah, I mean grade point averages usually only matter places like Stanford and Vanderbilt, Northwestern Duke a handful

of Notre Dame a handful of others. So from the standpoint though, what he was saying with the transfer portal and college players getting paid, if they're using your name, your image, and your likeness and they're making money off of it, I say, yes, you're entitled to some of that. But I've always said mo that there ought to be certain strings attached to that, as in, you have to actually complete a degree. All the money's put for you an escrow in an account, and you get it as soon

as you either graduate or go on to the pros. Just your thoughts on that, are there changes you would make to the current NIL situation, So you just don't have universities being the highest bidder, or someone's activities or or participation in their sports programs. Are the changes you would make? I would change nothing about nil In particular, I don't believe in capping salaries in any regard. I think everybody should be free to go and get whatever they can

get. If we're going to cap nil, let's cap the salaries of coaches, let's cap the salaries. Let's let's cap what what every school spends on recruiting and and and deploy it to other resources at the university. So I'm not an opponent of capping nil by any stretch of the imagination. Uh, if you want to slow down the movement of players, it's very simple. Make them sign contracts. Now. If they sign contracts, they're going to

be bound to that contract for a certain number of years. There's our solution. You know, I thought what Nick Saban was said. I I thought what he said, much of it hit to Mark. But look, look at the environment we're in college athletics right now. We're so concerned about student ATHLETs. We want these we want these athletes to be students. Okay, why are we putting UCLA in the Big Ten. We're now forget football and

basketball. We're going to take the women's tennis team and put them on cross country jaunts traversing the Midwest all the way to New Jersey to compete in athletics. Does that help the academic profile of those students? We've blown up traditional rivalries because we're shifting schools from one conference to another. Why are we doing that. We're doing it because of money. Coaches are hopscotching around the country.

Why are they doing that. They're doing it because of money. So all the players are doing is doing something that's reflective of the only thing that matters in all of college sports. We have decided the conference affiliation, geography, traditional rivalries, academic development. We have decided to make all of those things take a back seat in college sports because of money. So why aren't the WO MO? We lost MO for a moment, Moe are you there?

Tell you what Liam? Call? Go ahead and call Moe back, because I think he was making some very very good points and suddenly just disappeared from view. But my thing, I'm not talking about caps on how much you can make, but I guess maybe I am. What I'm trying to get at is why why would college athletics be so much like professional athletics and a coach? Can you know? Coaches are sneaky and they can they can

just say, well, we're going to pay you two hundred doubs. Forget about NIL, We're going to make sure we're going to guarantee you two hundred thousand dollars up front to come sign here. Mo. That's what I was kind of getting at. Yeah. Look, I mean what Nick Saban advocated was for there to beat direct revenue sharing from from essentially the schools to the student. Ask yeah, how you do that? I don't know how you do that. I don't know how you do that in a way that's fair

and equitable. But I think NIL has been portrayed to be this large evil. And it's always interesting to me the people who seem to be most anti NIL usually seem to be in other realms, the most capitalists, And to me, you can't be for one and opposed to the other. So NIL gets really unfairly portrayed. I think the transfer portal gets unfairly portrayed when there are restrictions on how much the coaches can move. I will be in favor

of restrictions over how much the athletes. I'm lucky there. But you know again, I mean, we have decided that the only thing in college sports that matters is money. You may think that's okay, you may think that's awful. But if it's the only thing that matters with college presidents, conference commissioners, coaches, and everybody else involved, why should it not be the most important thing for the perspective or actual student athletes. Excellent? All right,

NCAA Selection weekend. Of course, the conferences are finishing up their tournaments to decide who gets into the big dance, and many of those slots are already filled. I would imagine, have we come a long way towards making it the sixty eight best teams? I guess in regards to the NCAA Men's and Women's Division one Championships, have we come a long way in seeding these properly? Do they do a better job, does the committee do a better

job than it used to? Or are we going to have all this wailing and gnashing of teeth like we do every year because some teams didn't really all play that well but they think they should get in anyway. Yeah, I think a lot of that has kind of gone away, right, I think for two reasons. Number one, they've expanded the field to sixty eight. I am certainly among the majority of college basketball fans who hope they don't expand

it more. I think, unfortunately, it's inevitable that they will. But you know, I mean, it's it's one thing to be team number sixty five on the outside looking in at something else to be team number sixty nine looking And I also think we just have more information, right, We have more metrics, we have more games that are available to watch, and so I think it's a lot easier for the committee itself to explain, Look, metrically, here's why we took this team instead of this team, Whereas you

know, maybe twenty years ago, we didn't have nearly as much information, and frankly, there wasn't as much transparency. I think one of the best things that the basketball Selection Committee did, and I don't know that they do this anymore, but for years they had a mock bracket selection where they would invite members of the media to essentially fill the shoes of the people on the committee, and they would spend you know, the same amount of time putting

together a bracket as they actually do there in Indianapolis. And I I think that I think the the amount of transparency that we've seen with this process over the last decade or so has decreased the amount of whining. There's always going to be a team that feels like we deserve to get in. But I've said this for years, I never feel bad for the team on the outside looking in. Look, the criteria is not that difficult. Win games.

Yeah, And so whenever I see a coach or I see, you know, a fan who's crying that a certain team didn't get in, my response to that is, well, they didn't fit the criteria. The criteria is to win more games. They should have won more games. So I think the committee does on a year to year basis, a pretty good job. I think there's always, from a seating perspective, one or two things that you could wonder about, But I think they do a good job of putting

together the bracket. And again, I think just that the transparency involved and the amount of information we have about these teams has really cut down on the amount of post bracket complaints. As the winner of the annual Struggles for the Steak competition during UC basketball broadcast, I always I always wondered this, do you get to choose where the steak is from? That that those guys have to pay for mo I should you know. Typically it's because I mean,

I mean, no Golden Corral here. Okay, not to demean them, but you know, let's let's elevate a little bit. Yeah, I'm no, that's that's not going to happen. Uh. Typically, Typically it's the the the steak dinner has occurred on a road trip. Right. So for instance, last year, Terry Nelson got his steak for winning the previous season. We went to a place in UH in New Orleans and and he got his steak. Dan Hord won it. Last year we have yet to get

so we're kind of having a backlog of steak dinner so it discontinues. God knows when I'm gonna get mine. But yeah, it's it's winner's choice, and you try to do it within reason. You know, we're not going to go to the most expensive place, but we're we're not exactly going to steak an eggs at waffle house either, if it's still there. Insists that they take you to Sperry Steakhouse in Nashville, Tennessee and get the blackened prime

rib. Absolutely, I'm delicious. That sounds incredible, absolutely delicious. What did you think of the Bengals signings this week of flurry of activity. Interesting, interesting week. I think some good. The Geno Stone signing I think is really interesting in safety. I love players who are still ascending. You know, Ginostone was a seventh round pick and it felt like in Baltimore, every time they gave him more to do, more responsibility, he rose to

the challenge. That tells me you can put even more on his play. That tells me he's still growing into the role. And I'm really really intrigued by that signing. Mike ISSICKI the tight end. You know, ignore what he did last year in New England. If you take his four year average over his last four seasons with the Dolphins, he averaged eleven point six yards per reception. That is a level of explosiveness from the tight end position.

Well you just imagine in this offense what that can mean. I'm really intrigued by him. I think they accomplished what they wanted to do at running back. Where you know, they say goodbye to Joe Mixon. Joe ends up in a place where not only does he have a chance to win, but he gets a new contract and the Bengals get a running back who it's cheaper and I think more explosive. I think what's fair to wonder about, though, is the defensive tackle spot. Look Dj Reader was, I think for

two years, the Bengals' second most valuable player. He leaves for Detroit. Defensive tackle was a weakness while he was here. I think it's fair to say right now, as things stand today, it's at least not a strength. I think DJ's interesting because he as good of a player as he was, he did suffer that quad injury, and so did the Bengals bucket signing him because you know, just concerns over his squad, concerns over whether or not he's going to be able to play week one. I think it's fair

to scrutinize that. Also, they still don't know who this starting right tackle is going to be, and it could be somebody they draft. The class is really deep at right tackle, but if you're hoping for, you know, a veteran player to kind of bridge the gap between Jonah Williams who left for Arizona, and who they take in the draft to play right tackle,

that player has yet to materialize. And so they've had an interesting week and I think in many respects a productive week, but I think there's still some pretty legitimate questions about positions that we were wondering about at this time a week ago. Have you seen or heard anything so far about Red spring training to give you renewed optimism that many of us had after last season. Well,

you know, I think some really interesting battles are playing out. You know, Stuart Fairchild has made a heck of a bid to make this club with just a killer spring. You know, obviously we found out the noelve Marte news last week, where you know, he's going to miss half the season, and that maybe compromises their depth a little bit. I think it's look

the story of this season. I think all would agree this team is going to go as far as as the starting pitching is going to take them, and there is so much upside and so much raw potential that there's not a lot of experience and there's not a lot of reliability yet. And I never read too much in the spring training results, right, but there have been a lot of games where the starting pitcher has really struggled. And you know, I think you're being reasonable if you go God, you know what I

was hoping in March. I would see some things that would lead me to believe that these the staff as a whole, is going to be a little bit more dependable once the real games begin. I don't think that that's happened, but I'm still optimistic. I still think this team's going to score a boatload of runs. I still think this team is going to be extraordinarily fun

to watch from an offensive perspective. And I do think this team is going to have a better bullpen Alex Young and I was listening in the seven to fifty report with you talking about his absence. That doesn't help, but I like what they've done with this bullpen. And the question for me is how much is this bullpen going to be asked to do? Because last year the Red's got the shortest average start of any team in the National League. That

can't be the case this coming season. No Egor, thank you so much, have a fantastic weekend. Happy Saint Patti's Day. Counselor Mike Allen Saturday midday, what's going on? My friend?
