What else is going on? Time four? What's happening?
Well, we're going to see some warm temperatures. We're gonna get blasted by a heat wave. We'll probably see some of our first triple digit temperatures and parts of the valley through this week. Wednesday is the expected hottest day of the week. One oh three we're looking for in Woodland Hills, maybe one oh one on Thursday, And of course Henry de Carlo Channel five says, be careful, it's
going to be hot out there. Speaking of weather, there are more deadly storms expected in this severe weather event throughout the Midwest and the Plain States making its way towards the east. At least thirty one million people at risk for severe storms from central Texas up to Iowa. They're talking about large hail, the potential for damaging winds, several possibly strong tornadoes. The cities with the greatest risk right now big cities at least Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Dallas,
Kansas City. Storms are expected to get as we get into the afternoon in those areas afternoon and evening. At least ten states sauce tornadoes just over the weekend, including some in Reno County, Kansas, Powdell, Pinto County, Texas, and at least twenty eight people died. This was a woman who in Kentucky said that there was really just nothing left of her town.
There's nothing left. There was nothing left nothing. It's honestly, it's devastating. It makes me sick. We've lost everything.
Here's a fun story. Bedbugs in Vegas. Two hotels on the Strip are now facing lawsuits after allegations that guests were bitten by bedbugs, Treasure Island and the Luxor. These three lawsuits filed against them at the end of April for alleged incidents that happened and a summer of last year. One woman, Teresa, says she stayed at Treasure Island from
June twentieth to the twenty third last year. She claimed that she informed the hotel's management about the issue and was moved to another room, but noticed more bites after
her second room assignment. When staff inspected her new room, the hotel workers reportedly confirmed that yes, there were bedbugs The lawsuits against the Luxor were filed by a couple from Illinois stayed there in early June, and another guest from mid July that was These lawsuits come about a year after the bedbugs reported discovered at Encourt, The Win, the ex Caliber, the Mirage, the Venetian, also critters at Resorts World, Bellagio, Hilton Vacation Club, and the Cosmopolitan of
Las Vegas. The idea if you're paying for one of those cheap rooms is, yeah, you run the risk of bedbugs. But if you're dropping a few hundred or many hundred dollars per night at some of those higher end places, the expectation is that you would not be getting bed bugs. Here's a fun story as well. Triplets are all graduating from San Diego State University, all graduating Summa cum laud Kale, Miley,
and Maconaugh young degrees in Integrated Marketing and Communications. The three of them said their shared path wasn't entirely intentional, but it worked out just right. One of the sisters says, we tried not to influence where the other two were planning on going to college.
It just kind of worked out this way.
After graduation, they will begin remote jobs as social media specialists, all of them at the same digital marketing agency, Power Digital Marketing. They'll be working within the same department. Each will specialize in different industries fashion, consumer, package goods, and lifestyle. For the much of their lives, the three of them say they've done almost everything together and that they are
best friends. Oh okay, Elmo, Big Bird, Oscar, the Grouse, Cookie Monster, the rest of Sesame Street are going to be headed to Netflix. The nonprofit education organization behind Sesame Street, you know, the Sesame worksop Workshops, made a couple of
announcements today. Number one that the new season of Sesame Street and all of the library episodes, all the past episodes are going to be on Netflix worldwide, and those same episodes will release on the same day on PBS stations and the PBS Kid's digital platform in the United States, so that fifty plus year relationship is still going strong.
They said.
The move to Netflix comes after Warner Brothers Discovery did not renew the deal for Sesame Street on Max on HBO Max. So when that happened, they were looking for a new partnership and Netflix swoops in and says we have money, we can give some to you. And then French police amazingly have recovered the long lost head of Jim Morrison, thirty seven years after it was taken from the cemetery in Paris. Jim Morrison, of course, frontman for the Doors. The head, the iconic bust of Jim Morrison,
went missing in nineteen eighty eight. They said they found it during a search tied to a fraud case led by the Public Prosecutor's office there in Paris. People go to that Jim Morrison's grave in Paris, the pere Lacher Cemetery, and I think I said that right. But he was buried after he died in Paris in nineteen seventy one. He was only twenty seven years old. It's just an absolute mess. That area around the Jim Morrison grave is
a mess, and it was. There's just graffiti and handwriting all over it, all over his headstone, but also the headstones that are nearby. Unfortunately, the sculpture was originally by a Croatian artist, was placed on Jim Morrison's grave to mark the tenth anniversary of his death and is probably the most visited grave of a musician ever, more so
than Graceland in nineteen ninety one. They actually said that there was a riot that broke out at the gravesite nineteen ninety one, with a twentieth anniversary of his death, after a security guard was hired. There was one that was permanently stationed at Morrison's grave, But the mession messages continue to appear on the surrounding tombs, the circumstances of his death. It's Jim Morrison, and it's still a mystery.
Although a lot of people said he died of cardiac arrest in his bathtub, there was a book that came out a few years ago that said that this was the sanitized version that he actually died from a heroin overdose on the toilet of a nightclub, which is probably much much more rock and roll than just drowning in your bathtub. But in February, Paris named a bridge after Jim Morrison was located just a few steps away from
the Marai district where he was last living. So all right, well, there is an update going on right now in New York. The National Transportation Safety Board says they're working with Mexican counterparts to get full access to this huge sailing ship that ran into the Brooklyn Bridge over the weekend and killed two Mexican sailors. We'll talk about that and also get into our terror in the skies when we come back to Gary and Shannon.

President Trump is speaking from the White House and he was talking about specifically there's a bill that he's about to sign to crack down on non consensual online publication of sexually explicit images. But he's been talking also about his phone call this morning with Vladimir Putin out of the.
Force of care, and I can say that she loves children, and you really worked very hard on this, and you had a lot of help.
Pore timing on my part.
He's talking about his wife, but he says he did speak to other European nations after the call with Vladimir Putin today in an attempt to bring about some ceasefire discussions between Ukraine and Russia. So he'll get more questions, of course after the bill signing, and if he says anything important, we'll definitely bring it to you. As I look up in the skies, I see terror, a lot of terror.
It's time for terror in the skuys.
Like is zero and ire you're Claret to day off, Roger, get off my plane.
Roger Rogers's our Victor, Victor.
Enough is enough?
I have handed with these mulcky pint and snakes on this money.
To It's Gary and Shannon's terror in the skies. O KFI.
Well, it's not only air are airport that are having a meltdowns. France's Civil Asia Aviation Authority said some flights had to be canceled others delayed at the Paris Orley Airport, a day after an air traffic control system suffered a break down they said caused substantial disruption.
The situation is improving.
Airlines have been asked to reduce flights by fifteen percent today. That's down from forty percent on Sunday. Paris Orly serves domestic and international flights, including to most European countries and to the United States. They said some flights to Italy, Spain, Portugal and southern France had to be canceled. As of today, about thirty three million people travel through Paris Orly Airport a year. That's about half as many as Charles Dugaul Airport. According to the people.
Who are in the now.
In Luftanza, there was a pilot who got up to go to the bathroom about a half an hour left in his flight.
Pilot says, XO has the con or whatever they say to each other when one leaves, and then the copilot fainted.
The airbus A three twenty one carrying two hundred passenger six crew members. The plane's captain was in the bathroom. The co pilot fainted. Now, they said. The pilot apparently operated the controls unintentionally, which allows the plane to continue flying because of active copilot, But the voice recorder caught strange noises in the cockpit that were consistent with an
acute health emergency, whatever that was. So the pilot, finishing up in the john tries re entering the cockpit using the regular door opening code, which triggers a buzzer so that the copilot can hit the button and open the door. The captain did it five times without being able to get in, so the stewardess tried to contact the copilot
using the on board telephone. The captain then types in an emergency that allows him to open the door on his own, but shortly before the door would have opened automatically. The co pilot opened it despite the fact that he had fainted earlier. They did make an unplanned landing in Madrid, where they took the co pilot to the hospital. Luftansa said, it's unaware of the investigation report. It's only Flight Safety department. Again, this thing happened a year ago and we're just hearing
about it now. And then finally in Taiwan, passengers bound for the Taiwanese Kinmen Islands got a little bit of a shock the ATR seventy two to six hundred little I shouldn't say little, but it's a prop plane. The metal faring one of the metal panels on the starboard engine starts flapping violently and you can look in and see the engine worrying.
That has said.
It occurred just after takeoff from an international airport. Those on board the flight were alarmed when the plane began to shake with the turboprop engine looking out the window, they were stunned. One of the passengers said, the plane started shaking, Everybody looked out the window and began shouting for the flight attendants. They declared an in flight emergency.
They turned around, went right back to where they landed or where they took off from and landed safely, and they're still trying to figure out what caused the mechanical failure despite the fact that the engine flap was lapping. All right, we'll talk more about the President's comments here on the Take It Down Act in a few minutes.
We've got that.
We've got Motivational Monday here coming up, and then the original punk Scene. Why it is that Orange County has such a unique sound when it comes to the music that they've produced down there for years.

That ceremony, by the way, the President Trump was just at this was a sign nature on legislation that bans non consensual online publication of sexually explicit images, the ones that would be both authentic real ones and computer generated A revenge porn is usually what this is referred to as it's called the Take It Down Act and makes publishing illegal that kind of content. Also subject violators to mandatory restitution and criminal penalties like prison, a fine, or
both of them. This would subject people to criminal penalties who make threats to publish those visual pictures, some of what you're created using AI, And it's going to require websites, through enforcement by the FTC, to remove imagery like that after receiving a request from a victim within forty eight hours, and to have to make efforts to take down copies as well. He was scheduled. In fact, he said something off Mike, and I'm not quite sure. I wasn't watching it,
but I was listening to it. First, Lady Malania Trump got up and made the opening comments about the bill itself and talked about the work that she put into this thing, and she said that the event was instrumental
in getting this measure through Congress. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said as much in this news conference that she held first thing in the morning, Caroline Levitt said of Milania, the first Lady met with members in the House and the Senate, survivors and their families and advocates through the process to get the bill across the finish line. They did approve the measure by unanimous consent. The House voted overwhelmingly to pass at four nine to two.
Last month.
Senators Ted Cruz out of Texas and Amy Klobashar out of Minnesota sponsored the bill in the Senate, and it was also bipartisan in the House. So that is But here's the thing just to keep in mind, that's one of very few bills that this president has signed into law since he took office. Most of the activity that he's been doing has been through executive order, which some of those have been held up in court, some of them have been struck down or at the very least challenged.
So this is.
Not it's not it's very well supported by both parties, I believe. Well, it is Monday, and one of the things we like to do on Monday is let you in on a little bit of motivation. This is the motivational Monday what'd you call it?
Segment?
I guess, And it's an opportunity for us to feel good about ourselves through some other movie, some other Denzel movie in this case, and if you remember one of the great Denzel Washington movies from the early two thousand, In fact, I think it was two thousand. A Jerry Bruckheimer movie screenplay by Gregory Allen Howard, based on the coach Herman Boone and Herman Boone in nineteen seventy one gets the head coaching job at T. C. Williams High
School in Alexandria, Virginia. This has been one of the greatest movies. It's easy to watch, it's easy to get through. And there was a whole thing about how the former head coach was gonna quit and his team mates, sorry, his players told him, you can't quit. Coach Yost tell us his white players he's going to accept the head coaching position elsewhere. They tell him not, and they tell him if they're going to boycott if he's not their coach.
So he doesn't want these guys to lose their scholarship, so he changes his mind. He accept Coach Boone's offer to serve as a defensive coordinator, and we find out that the chair part of the school board has arranged for the Titans to lose, so the coach Boone gets fired and Yost is reinstated as a head coach. This is just a masterful performance by Denzel Washington.
Right win a fight. You boys are doing all that you can do. Anybody can see that when all lose, we're gonna walk out of this stadium to night with our heads held high. Do your best so all anybody can ask for.
No, it ain't coach, and all due respect, you demanded more of us. You demanded perfection now and I ain't saying it I'm perfect because I'm not, and I ain't gonna never be. None of us are. But we have won every single game we have played till now. So this team is perfect. We stepped out on that field that way tonight, and if it's all the same to you, Coach Boone, that's how we want to leave it. Yeah.
I hope you boys have learned as much from me this year as I've learned from you. You've taught this city how to trust the soul of a man rather than the look of him, And I guess it's about time I joined the club, Herman, I sure could use your help. Ed Henry's kicking my ass out of there.
Listen up. This is our time now. Second half is our time. We're gonna make some changes on defense. It's pretting us out too far. We're gonna put sunshine. Allan Glasgow Davis, You're gonna play both ways rest of the game. I don't want to receiver to get across that line of scrimmage. Coach Jos will tell you where you're playing. All right, this goes out time. Everybody is out, time out, time out, time, Titans off, preet what too?
But Juis you'll go go fifty two months so I know that's all you need to doroun. All right, we're going zone. Allan, Sir, I can play with Roosevelt, but I cannot play with these guys.
No.
I'll tell you what. I didn't want him the bench all year so I can watch us go down on my account.
Wickipedian, he's better.
You want him to take your spot, you go give it to him. Thank you.
There, Ryan Gosling, Donald Faison. Of course, Will Patton is Bill Yo, so one of the great Denzel. There's been a bunch, but one of the great Denzel movies.
I know that.
What's one of Michael Monks's top five Denzel Washington movies? Easily? Easily, no question about it. I would even say top four.
Right. What do you know about me and Denzel Washington?
Well, I saw you wiping away tears while he was giving his speech to his team.
Yeah.
He does bring out a certain mist, Yeah, a mist. You've been listening to The Gary and Shannon Show.
