This is Gary and Shannon and you're listening to KFI A M. Six forty, the Gary and Shannon Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. There is now a penis size Predicting dating app What penis size Predicting Dating app? Apparently? What you do as a man is you take a picture of your hand, you send it in and it will tell you the size of your genitals.

And that's the basis upon which you will make it love. Yes, yes, okay, I guess we're getting back to the old, the old basics of biology, figuring out which the males of the species are going to attract the females of the species and how they do it. I don't think you should know thee right off the bat. What the plumage looks like like that couple secrets. Yeah, it's okay, have a little mystery. A couple layers to that onion that you have to peel back. Maybe say hello

first before you see the size of it. We say hello before you have to say whoa or something like that. Maybe how do you do? What's your favorite color? It's time for swamp. Swamp is horrible. The government doesn't work. Man, gonna make it like a reality TV show. Was a bad now always a pleasure to be anywhere from Washington, d C. Hey, Joe. A town hall too, clearly built on a swamp in so many ways, still a swamp to make what he said drained the swamp.

I said, Oh, that's so, you know the thing? What does mushroom mean? Did you miss me? Well? A new day, new test for President Biden. Uh, this is another challenge, I guess you could say, and it's unfortunate to even use that word when you're talking about the sitting president of the United States. But he will be taking questions from reporters. It's going to happen at about three thirty hour time. He had the summit with NATO leaders in DC. They had hoped this would showcase

his leadership on the world stage. Unfortunately, the conversation has not left the topic of cognitive decline. It's not going to It's basically all you're going to see, all you're going to see today is about that, and it's not going to be about NATO and it's not going to be about our foreign policy. It's not because, to be honest, I don't think any of that drive. I don't think any of that drives somebody to vote for president their opinion of NATO. No, no, no, it's whether bread costs a

dollar fifty nine or seven dollars. It's inflation. It's more local than that. These are not Republicans poking fun at an aging president. Either elected Democrats, voters, donors all have doubts. Now. The biggest bomb, of course, George Clooney, who is the number one fundraiser for Democrats, coming out with that op ed yesterday saying that this is not the Joe Biden that

he knew in twenty twenty. It wasn't that this is a big FN deal Joe Biden, that the guy that you saw at the debate was the guy that he saw at that fundraising stop when they raised twenty eight million dollars. And again I raised the question of when I was reading through that op ed yesterday from George Clooney, and his reference point was not the debate. His reference point was the fundraiser before it. He saw then that there were issues and stayed quiet about it. I mean, at least at least on a

national level. I don't know if he had conversations with other people. I don't know if he had conversations with Barack Obama, I guess their buddies, and said, hey, I'm really concerned about about Biden's ability to a run the campaign to become president again and then be to out the four years in

a second term. Clooney talked to Obama, and the report was that Obama did not say, hell yeah, put this op ed out, but he also didn't say don't do it. The White House is hit back today with a ridiculous defense saying, well, George Clooney left that fundraiser three hours before President Biden, so the President's stamina must be better than George Clooney's, which

is insane, it's laughable. And again the White House itself, the White House Communications team, communications team, they're better than I. They have done such an awful job of handling this over the last two weeks when it came to obfuscating whether doctors were there to see the president, and none of that stuff is benefits them in any way. All it proves is they have been trying to hide this for a lot longer than just ten days or in this

case two weeks now since the debate. They've been doing it for a very long time. ABC News Washington Post IPSOS poll published today says a majority of voters say President Biden should step aside as a Democratic nominee sixty seven percent. Oh, and you can tell a lot about a guy from the way he holds By the way he holds his poll timing on that was perfect. Forty two percent said that he should continue to seek reelection two in three adults.

Now this is not registered voters. It's a much wider umbrella than that. Two in three adults say Biden should step aside, and seven in ten independents say he should step aside. Now, all of that taken into account, and still according to this poll again ABC News ZIPSOS poll, Donald Trump and

Joe Biden are in a dead heat forty six percent among registered voters. That's nearly identical to the results of a poll from back in April, which is strange because most of the other polls did show some movement towards Trump after the debate. There's also a very strange thing going on, and the two articles in the New York Times published within the last couple of hours about what Democrats are doing, specifically behind the scenes in Washington. Who's running the country I'm

sorry, what who is running is the United States? What for? What? What do you mean Joe Biden's not running the country. Well, so who's in charge? You tell me? I don't know, Andy. And why do they protect his cognitive decline so much? Why are we now just hearing about this they from them, We've heard it from other places in our own eyes for a couple of years now, right. But I mean, if this has been a steady decline, why wouldn't you rush to get out

another candidate in time for the conventions and all of it? Because it's going downhill real far, and it's weird because it seems like it's gaining speed. They thought they were going to outlive it over the weekend after the debate. They didn't. They thought it was going to quiet down after the fourth of July. It never did well. And now you've got the late night hosts that used to go after Trump every night going after Biden every night. You've

got George Clooney and other people in Hollywood saying get out. These are people used to be on their side. Now there's a couple of articles that have come out in the New York Times in just the last couple of hours that are significant, and we're talking about what's going on at the top of the

presidential campaign for Democrats. One of the articles says that there are longtime aids and advisors to President Biden that have become increasingly convinced that he's going to have to step aside from the campaign for different reasons, the political pressure, most importantly, the financial reasons. And in recent days they've been trying to come

up with a way to persuade him that he should step aside. Now again, The New York Times says that they talked to three sources, a small group of advisors in the administration and the campaign have said that they would have to convince the president of several things. They have to make the case to the president that he could not win against Trump. They have to persuade him to believe that another candidate, most likely Kamala Harris, would or could beat

Trump. And they have to say to the President that should he step aside, the process of choosing the next candidate would be smooth, it would not be chaotic. So they got to convince him of those three things. You know, him coming out in recent days and being defiant has been an even worse look I think for him interesting. You know, when he comes up and he screams, I'm running. I am the leader of the Democratic Party. It makes you sound more unhinged. It's funny and doth protests too much.

You pointed it out. It's very trump like of him. I mean that, I don't know if it's Hubris because to be honest, across as narcissist. Yeah, and it's an awful look for him. For a couple of weeks ago, we would have said, well, he seems like a nice guy. I mean, people's opinions appear to be changing about that. Now. There were people in the White House who said that this New York

Times article is not true, that the team is strongly behind him. TJ. Ducklow, a spokesman for the campaign, said it's pass patently false. But oh, Buddz, they ordered the code read the other. Well, the code read is this. This is the other article in the New York Times that they are testing the strength of a Kamala Harris against Donald Trump in a head to head survey of voters. They're doing their own internal polling to see if a Harris at the top of the ticket would make a difference.

That's according to three people informed about the effort that have confirmed the New York Times about the exam of how Kamala Harris could perform at the top of the ticket. Now, they have not said that this could be one of two things, right. It could be they honestly don't know how Kamala Harris would match up against Donald Trump, and they're trying to get it more specific than the other polls that we've seen that ask that same question. But it's going

to do one of two things. It's either going to show them, yeah, she does poll better than Joe Biden does at this moment, or it's going to show them that she pulls worse than him. I know recently, a couple of days ago, we said that her margin was closer. She still loses to Trump, but by a smaller margin. I don't know if that's enough to convince Joe Biden or the people around him that he should step

down. And it's one of those strange, you know, whatever comes out of this survey that they're doing, I don't know what the end result could be. Why isn't Hillary Clinton's name floated? Is it because she's seventy six? Uh? Like my favorite Joe Manchin too old. I maybe maybe she's she just felt like she went through the ringer eight years ago. Doesn't want to do that again. I mean, I don't know. It seemed like she had enough of a narcissistic personality eight years ago that she would beg a

beg for the opportunity to do it. But there was a poll that came out a couple of days ago that showed her and Harris holding a slight lead over Trump. Biden no longer holds any sort of lead no matter what poll you look at. This is so this news conference that is today, This is President Biden after hosting NATO. Basically there was oh, I wanted to

play this piece of sound. Also Jon Favreau, not the director Jon Favreau actor, but John Favreau, the podcast host who, along with George Clooney, has been asking the questions of Okay, now what are we going to

do? He said he agreed with George Clooney saying, we saw in that fundraiser here in LA a couple of weeks ago, atthing that George Clooney said we saw, I mean, it was not rising to any of us who were at the fundraiser I was there at Clooney was exactly right, and every single person I talked to at the fundraiser thought the same thing, except for the people working for Joe Biden, or at least they didn't say that. But I remember my wife Emily turned to me after the fundraisement said, what

are we going to do now? The reason I wanted to play that is because I wanted to point out there has been such an issue with both parties doing what the leadership wants it to do and not what their party voters want them to do. That so many times they are beholden to who was next in line, who is who has served you know, admirably in the administration or whatever, and is next in line. Kamala Harris is a perfect example of that. She's literally the next in line literally to the presidency. But

is she the best candidate that the Democrats can put up there. I'm so tired of these so called rules or what have you that are just this is that the way we've always done it right, or this is the way we do it now, because it doesn't serve anybody who's voting, We should all have a say, and what that is not the party. One of the things I did on Tuesday was I played some old sound bites from Dean Phillips. He's the congressman out of Minnesota who a year ago was saying Joe Biden

should not run again. He was talking specifically in the context of Hunter Biden's Special Council had just been appointed then in January, sorry February, when Robert Hers report came out and suggested that Joe Biden was just a kindly old man with a failing memory, that Joe Biden should not be at the top of the ticket. And that was the reason that Dean Phillips wanted to get in.

He wanted to see that competition. That a competition is an American thing and generally can result in better products at the end, whether it's you're buying something in a retail store or you're picking between candidates. He says that several Democrats have apologized to him. Yeah. Yeah, he got blasted for that sort of stuff. He got blasted for suggesting that Joe Biden was too old

and should not be in the race. That he should and again, this was a year ago that he should have bout out like Lyndon Johnson did in nineteen sixty eight and allowed Democrats to put somebody up there who's going to be strong. Yeah, because then it proves that not only are you putting your your party before your own interests, you're putting the country before your party and before your own I don't know if Joe Biden knows how detrimental he is to

the party. Nobody's telling him. I don't know if it would work. Nobody's telling him. That's what I That's what I think. All right? Would you like your Jeopardy question? We haven't done that in a while. Recent fiction for four hundred dollars, an album of original songs accompanied the twenty twenty two novel Run Rose Run by James Patterson, and this Jolene legend Who's Delly parton? Yes, it's weird that that would accompany a James Patterson novel.

Is Luis Beyonce, No, Well she did a lot of people have done. Jonly do you have a version? I do not? Keana does, though, which is nice. Chinese military ships are off the coast of Alaska. I tend to see here folks. US Coast Guard says all four of the ships were in international waters. But inside the US Exclusive Economic Zone, which goes out two hundred miles from the shoreline, which means the US has exclusive rights for exploring and marine resources there. The Coastguard says the Chinese

vessels claimed they were in the area for freedom of navigation operations. What the hell does that mean. An executive from the biggest utility in Houston says about a half a million people whose power was knocked out by Hurricane Burle will still be without power next week. That storm knocked out to almost three million customers, most of them in Houston. As of this morning, they said about one million, just slightly over one million homes and businesses are still without power.

But again it looks like half a million of those will be without power into next week. And the problem is it is very hot and humid in Houston at this time of year. Hakeeen Jeffries says today that conversations on Biden's future are candid, clear eyed, and ongoing. He said he has hosted at least one closed door meeting with House members about whether to keep backing Biden. It's getting worse by the hour. Hey, this is Karen out here

in Temecula and I'm listening to you guys enjoying it. And Gary, You've made me feel so guilty sitting around listening to you guys playing a wordle doing all those games online. Then I got up and I'm cleaning out the junk drawer. Oh so, how do you like that you motivated me to do something productive? Well, I didn't mean to. There's a word, there's waffle, there's connections, there's New York Times strands, there's letterboxed squaredle is

great. Gary Shannon love you guys. You need to try Shaka tea. Shoka tea. It's the best alternative to soda. Shaka tea. They used to sell it at Costco. I can't find it at Costco. Okay, great caffeine free herbal tea. Shaka. They've got mango, hibiscus, guava, ginger lemon rose, passion orange guava. He though, tease not? Hey Gary, you need to look up something called sino kobalamine, very last ingredient in those celsiest drinks. That stuff is made as a byproduct of human

waste. Oh day away from them? Oh is that what tastes so good in those things? Hey? Gary, you should try urbabat a bunch of different flavors. You have fantastic, give you the bumping energy and have a good one. I'm not even yeah I have, I have it in a while. Yeah, you're mamatee and those are it's it's a tea and it has a lot of calf a lot of caffeine. I don't need a lot of caffeine. You do not, I don't. I don't even necessarily need

the bump in the energy kind of thing. There is caffeine and those that I drink in the afternoons, but I but I would just take a how about a core's light? You know there's no energy in those Pellegrino or a COR's light in the fridge. Yeah, try it out today. See ill ghost you have Gary. If you're looking for a soda alternative, I'd suggest trying Jocko Go Jocko ghosts. There's so many different types. How do you

spell it? I do have no idea. But you you have this water bottle here that kind of looks like you dragged it behind the car on the way end. But it's I mean, as dented as mine is. But mine is mine's metals. And I just got this for when I had to go live off the land and camp for five days and hike for five hundred miles. But it looks like you dragged it behind you. I'm kidding. It's fine. I mean, everything's fine. It's just a nice water bat.

How many leaders is that? Thirty? One leader says so yeah, right? Or half a leader? I don't know the math. Do not share that with anyone, I do not. Okay, good. There is a potential for catching something like a lip fungus. They ain't identified yet. Some things aren't too worrisome. Obviously, you could get a cold. Other stuff could be more threatening. Micro organisms, bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites. You could turn into Jennifer Garner's daughter. Some of these people can

survive. Some of these things, I should say, can survive on a dry surface like the lip of a cup or the opening of a straw, until they're washed. It means it isn't just the backwash that could transmit something contagious any situation that involves communal living, college, military barracks, et cetera. Obviously, that means that illnesses can be transmitted through air droplets pretty quickly.

Meningitis. That's why we hear about meningitis seems like every fall. I remember the dorms together being terrified of getting the foot fungus from the foot oh, from the showers. Yeah, communal showers flip flops in there to avoid the foot fungus. College students are especially vulnerable to stuff like meningitis, but there's other things. Crowded bars are risky, there's less ventilation and that sort of stuff sticky. And the worst offender, by the way, would be

a child. Never share your water with the job. Well that's where that lip fungus came from from the kid in the movie. Yeah. If you're if you're hiking, for example, you're out in and there's a thirsty child, Do not give that child any water. Save yourself, Save yourself. You've been listening to The Gary and Shannon Show. You can always hear us live on KFI AM six forty nine am to one pm every Monday through Friday, and any time on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
