Episode 13 Keenan The First

Keenan The First is a versatile, hybrid-artist with stake in the Rap and R&B sections of the Hip-Hop genre, and serves as one of the budding, young songwriting talents in the music industry. In the last year, he has worked alongside major and indie labels as a songwriter, and his song “It’s You” (with Aleks James) appeared in Episode 10 of CW’s ‘All-American’ which is streaming on Netflix. Keenan has brought along his voice-over career in tandem with a strong presence in music, landing lines in the official POMS and The Emoji Movie trailer, and plays a recurring character for the YouTube series ‘Living or Dead.’ To round out his evolving role in entertainment, Keenan assistant directed the hit musical Afros & Ass Whoopins and also played Lando Calrissian in Solo Must Die, which ran on the Comedy Central Stage in 2018. The roots of a multi-faceted creative have been planted and 2020 seems to be the year of artistic fruit.

In 2020, you can expect to see more music videos from Keenan to follow up his critically-acclaimed performance for “How It Goes” which was invited to five film festivals, nominated for two awards and won Best Music Video at deadCenter Film Festival.
