Speaker 1

Hi. I'm Francesco Leavie, the editor of Bloomberg's game Plan section, which covers every step of the transition from college to work. And I'm Rebecca Greenfield. I'm a reporter at Bloomberg, where I cover workplace culture. That's everything from why you hate your office air conditioning to the case for wearing yoga pants at the office. We are starting something new that we're really excited about, game Plan. This show takes your

workplace frustrations, rituals, and dilemmas and goes deep. We'll show you how things that may seem but now, from what you eat for lunch to who you're friends with at the office, are actually fascinating. You live the majority of your life at work. Our show shines a spotlight on all of the little work life things that we take for granted, Like how did we start speaking in office jargon? Oh yeah, the word jargon before it was used and the way we use it now came from the French

word for birds twittering. Please don't please them put that on the show. Please. And it's being nice to your coworkers always the best strategy. One of the statistics was that people don't go on vacation with their coworkers anymore. That seems like a really high bar. Yeah right, I don't know. I go on vacation like with my family. That's pretty much it. Of course, sometimes we get a little off topic. If you roll your eyes, they can

hear it in your voice. That's a great point, and I'm going to make the same point in slight different words. You didn't hire me to be a cleaner. Okay, I'm taking it too far, but I don't care about the cleaniness of my desk, and you can't make me. I'm an adult and I can have ice cream for breakfast. Game Plan premiers on July twentie And if you've ever had a job or wanted one, there's probably something in there for you. We hope you'll listen. See you soon.
