Episode 3: Commit Ourselves to Sanity (LotGH episode 3)

Welcome to Galactic History 101, where 5 friends exhaustively talk about the anime Legend of the Galactic Heroes. This week, we're discussing Episode 3:  The Birth of the 13th Fleet. 

This episode is full of talk about the current state of US politics (circa July 2020), nationalism, and Nazis (a recurring theme in the FPA episodes). This is the first episode directly about the Free Planets Alliance and we get into a lot of speculation about that society based on what is on screen. 

This episode includes the birth of the Sad Boy Yang Gang, who debut by making multiple unexplained references to comic books. Mick is mean to the people who sing the FPA national anthem, while doing a particularly bad job at his own attempt.
