¶ Welcome and Episode Focus
Guelgo Weekly is a learn Irish online production. To find out more about LIO, check out the description down below. How are you? He will do. Very welcome back to Guelga Weekly. False Rash with Guelga Weekly. You are now listening to episode number one hundred and twenty-nine Tadwinish a gauge the La Hagron Kade is Fehini, and this is the bilingual version, otherwise known as the a lot simpler version. Sha on lagan dahangok no gminik glian mudj unlagen awad nischli.
Before we begin, Riv Hossi Mudj, a little warning. Rao Bug Riv Hossi Mudj. Today's podcast I'm gonna be speaking about sports. So nyug by make lots for you. Sport and I'll pretty much be speaking only about sports. Really by Megal Arts Free Sport, I guess sport. a one. I'll be talking about a few different things. But Meglar's free Cooper Roger Frull, don't worry, I won't be doing analysts of of games or where sports lie at the moment in different matches, Nibai Meg Jeno and Alicia eri.
It's a fruula, no e Glory Sweet, Conasata on Iron Shah Ainu, how this team is doing or anything like that. More broader cultural, historical sporting stuff. So Radi a fannin la sporta agus radi a fannin la culture agus on star cof ma... Basically today, kobono suck in ya I want to go through the five sporting events I'd like to see live in my life. So Kuig all Cod's war sports. But vr'n feck all beo im a hail. August severe hail, so in real life, not just
See it on telly. I think I've seen all these on the telly before. Kyafangul Gokyan Aku Fekya Agam Ern Telefish River. But speaking about actually going to it and being there and seeing it. live. So to make large feet dull on chin, I guess a echo beautiful.
¶ Stade de France and Personal Sports
This was inspired by watching the Six Nations over the weekend, so Honig and Smuinushaw known Insproad Showigam, August Misha, Egg Vakinsh, Erin Grave, Shane Nashu and Erin Jirashakana. And I was watching the Ireland game against France if we make vacant Erin Galiha Idler Air, August and Rank. Now I'm not really interested in Rogue Bee, near more in Simon, so Rogue Bee, my main sports are Formula One
Snooker, uh uh both of which you could argue aren't sports. Still Griff Asian after all, knock sports. A snooker Agnesport a Formula One But that's a story for another day. Shinsh gale La High La Ella. Watch a bit the soccer, a bit the ghetto football. I don't watch much hurling. Two minutes because it's number one, or the first one I'm gonna talk about on my list. Tashimarchan Owel Mayhun Lauarchwe Air Melista.
I was watching the Ireland game in the rugby V Make Facon Ern Galeha Edder Era August on rank Sir Rugby and I thought God the Stade de France is an unbelievable stadium. Even though I'm not interested in rugby, can I call Simam Sirugby? It's Stad the Kredza A and Stad the France. The shape of it and cru the air, the build of it, the way it's built on Kui ultoka. It's just a perfect arena for sport. It's huge.
It goes around all the way around but you don't feel far away from the action. I've never been, but I'm imagining Saulum, Motuan Chin, Nivohin to Gultu. on an Ada on the Himroi, Igas on Gleha, you don't feel like you're way, way far away from the game and from the players. And I thought, wow, if I could go to any game anywhere And I'd love to see something in the Stade de France because I think it's the perfect arena and the perfect build for a match.
I've made a list and they might surprise you. For example, I mentioned Formula One there. Shanskurhi on Listisha ain't a cert, Louis may Formula One on Shin, but there's actually no Formula One race or event here Nilane Imok. the Ross Formula One air on this the show. So there might be a few things you're not expecting Chance by Cooper Rod, Augus, Neil Twig Sule, Lesh, Naruthy, Shin.
¶ Provincial GAA Finals and Croke Park Critique
Number one is kind of a mix of two different ones, and these are no particular order. So on ta'un idriga imak different between two different events. So as they always said on the X Factor, Muradort seed igoni or an X Factor in no particular order. Unlike the X Factor, I'm not gonna keep you waiting any longer. Ni kasu Lash an X Factor, Nilmehon Hu, Idwanak, ni smoke. Number one is the Ulster Football Final in Clonus. So Klehikanish Ola Safelkoilok.
Iglonis in Winokhan, up in Manahin, or the Monster Hurling Final in Tur. So on Klehikanish Cinemanicht, a Google Moon, it turlis, it dejorain, okay, in in temporary. So I picked those two because I was thinking okay I'd love to go to a big Gil football or hurling match, but for all gleh on a war so fell grey like so no son of I've been to plenty of Galway games and even won Connox Final, so we make a long Cliti Legalya for the show this few Klichanish Pella.
Orwan, I think it was in twenty nineteen Govillsen Nij, Golway against Roscommon, Gallivanai, Roscommon and Gaway lost. High Legalyev, but I actually didn't see most of the game, even though I was there Niakame on the Quidd Smoke. To cleh Kara because I was working on the turnstiles in a little job that someone got me for a few games. I think Gaway Roscommon and Galway Monahan that year Golyv and I Roskumon I guess Golyv Ninewinnakon. Unveln Shin. Bush. I d I don't think there's the same magic.
let a Conox final in Pierceadium in Salt Hill, and I'm gonna rot Kana like Lhikanish conokta and more as there would be or as there is every year for some of the other provincial finals. Maybe the obvious thing you're thinking here, Bates are on Rud on a Sular Owel to ex win away anish is why wouldn't you just pick an All Ireland final? Kim for knock around low for click canish nah.
But for me, and this might be deeply unpopular, Shansok Nugdanok She Shaw Le Landini, but I don't like Crow Park as a shady machal. Nimothlum Pork and Crocig, Marstad or Hurbe. I understand it's got an unbelievable amount of history. I understand that culturally and historically it's so important. But for me it's just not that not that inspiring stadium.
Thomson he hugan says in more um insproud sprague thumbsay don't even kind of have a thing of wow it would be unbelievable to play there one day Viction Emratson. Law one. Maybe it's'cause I've never seen Galway really win much up there. Badzer Tashishin Marial Nachwill Moran Klihi. Fekya Agamagskaljev Igbuchenshusan, I don't know. I was there for a few games, I was there for the Gaway Dublin semi final in twenty eighteen.
If you men see egg unglahlakyanish, Igovil's hookjeg, Idrik Olive, August Blacklea, and for a league game, I think Dublin against Cork years and years ago. Blaine though in 2014, I think Govils Karaj. uh blog Clean I Kirkig, maybe one or two others. But for me, it just seems a bit This is crazy to say that it's all a size crackle to the raw, but I know other people are thinking it.
Neil and Character, Cain Egomar, Ots and Ella. And that's just for me. And maybe and I mentioned this one in the other shows, maybe it's just 'Cause Dublin isn't really one of my favourite cities in Ireland to Neil Blachlia, Marchion to Nakhrika, Isfarlum in Erin. I prefer a day out in Cork or in my own city of Galway or Limerick or Belfast or wherever. For me, Dublin doesn't have the same thing and I've never really found my kind of rhythm out out of the times I've been in Dublin Neil
more on rhythm of I'm She Hagam, Agus Misha Imlachlia Rivershaw. And I do think a lot of people, especially people who aren't from Dublin, Goriatini, Nakas Blacklea eid will understand
w what I mean by that. And that just sometimes it I know, going up there it seems like you're you're going to somewhere else and you don't feel maybe as at home as you would go into another city in Ireland, another regional city, so in other words, any other city in the country, uh in Chaher Ella Sajir, such as Limerick or Cork or whatever. And in terms of stadiums I much prefer something I suppose more traditional and old school Ismatlam Sthods Nis Tradishunta Agnes Shanim Shriha.
¶ Traditional Venues and Clonus Charm
For example, I used to drive quite a bit or be on the bus going past the Gaelic grounds, Limerick, Gaminick, Vime Aaron Muss, Elimnoch. August Mishake Jenosla, he sunshine Earl Skullimni while I was studying on there. in the University of Limmock and we used to pass the Gaelic grounds and my God it would scare ya how traditional and how concrete that stadium appears from outside. Like her kick of tradition of concrete at Stadsa Ectomans.
uh Diracanaclesh while you're driving right beside it. I wouldn't say Pierceidum is quite like that. Peersed him feels a bit a bit woke almost of Peersadim if you can eat woke. in Galway'cause it's by the seaside and in a lovely town in in Salt Hill, in Mochranitstraw and Alive. But other examples yeah, Terlus down in Tipperary and Clonus, I think, and that's the reason I picked these two. I don't think
iconic final unless it's maybe Galway Mayo and it's really competitive. Shakas Bater Matha Vigor Mitsnamoyo gas tash ta I don't think it's got the same magic as an Ulster football final or a monster hurling final. I think it's got the same magic as an Ulster football final or a monster hurling final. I think it's got the same magic as an Ulster football final. It's not a match, it's a match, which is the monster Irish word for hurling. And the football final up in Ulster, Janice, is a match.
And Claunus especially intrigues. I was never there, you remember even sin, but it's only a kilometer away from the border with the north, so Nilsha Kilometer on Suron Lesh and Tushkrat, so you could walk across the border from the north into the Republic. And it's in a town with only a thousand people, a thousand five hundred people near like meal at dinner.
Nomila Kuikade Dina Inagoni on Shin. I think a lot of the local local town's economy depends on this one match or the handful of matches they have per year. been economy on while you are chewel egg bra Ear nklehisha no on khlehishin on Ulster football final that they have every year Avine Aku Gok Bleen. So
It's incredible that the Ulster football finalists there. And when you think of that there's cities such as Jerry and you have cities such as Belfast and you also have Nury and these other places across across Northern Ireland and and across Ulster, you know, Teample Ulla's Chimple, Tushkar and the Heron, Ton Hotz and a Shogs of Ladira, Augus Bail First, but they still play the Ulster football finalist tiny little town uh right on the border, been to the Gimritz, Ankle.
Savalya Vyog Sash Valiashawn, this village basically. right on the border Jirak era on Suron. And again traditional stadiums both in Terras and in Clonus, so stods tradition that haven't changed much through the years. Going to an ulster football final nowadays probably isn't too different from thirty or forty years ago. Chance not will to row ya through a gun brojlet truck o' no caracablino in Well I think going to Crow Park for an all our semi or quarter
It's not the same. It's probably changed a lot. I don't know'cause I've not been and Nil Sam or anywhere on my own thirty, forty years ago, trucking no carcaplino hint, but it just feels a bit different and a bit too polished for the GA. than Human Lucas Quail. And that's okay. You know, that's normal. And again, the expansion of Gro Parkinson
making it almost like a professional arena. Marial Gul Porkin Krokig Nismo G's golcheniskarnmule meant more money for the GA and they've been able to improve the game and give grants to clubs around the world such as here in Seville, Doshdan, Arrigad, Jontish, Ohorch, the the Chlubana, August Khamani. Team plant down, such as here in Seville, Marhamplot and Show is Seville.
So I understand these things have to be done, I'm not saying we just and with all these things I'm talking about today, I'm not just saying we go back to the way it was twenty years ago, Numegraw, Bukertun Dulrash, Goodzi Enchui, Araushe, Feh, Notruka, Balino. So that's my answer for number one. Shannon Fargar Atam Lae Iver Ahim.
¶ The Masters: Timeless Golf Tradition
Number two is the Masters in Augusta. Iridol Shin the Masters Augusta E Georgia Snstotch Anthea. So for those of you who don't know, it's one of the four golf majors Tosh American Tinker Tournaments, No Kera Imoke. Golf is Mo Air on Failure, so one of the four biggest events on the calendar. Takes place normally I think the second weekend in April. And maybe before I even mention Augusta itself and and why I'd love to go and see it live.
Talking about April and the time of year son and Tom Avin Sir Seul It's probably quite important to this actually, Toshisok Tovaklashu. One thing I realized while recording one of the other versions of this podcast, Rodegana One, a Hug My Fitzara Ags Misha Etienno Tafadu Air on Da Laganela Chen Futcrail is that all the events I've picked out today take place in between the middle of March
and the end of May means their soul illore me mortha aggera mi pialtona, which is a quite short time frame. I mean it's only ten weeks out of the full year and it's shocked and But I think it's interesting when you have an event that happens the same time every year, Kevin Gulch simul nartal, imokht no curren agat, no crave agat, ags bean chair shoulder An or can an cana glean. It really makes a difference.
The different warlashin, and I think it's very easy to associate different sports with different times of the year. Camping will say an iska, it in sheen to create a kind of association in your head in between the events, it's your and Tom Gentley. For me the master's an April It's always the week or two after the clocks change a goni beans here shoul on kid shaken no a kid kaikish teresh are
And it's like we're completely gone from from winter now. Or I was thinking Six Nations, which have just started as a record, on Krave Shay Nosh, Nuggas Tashits and Jirk Turesh Tosu. I just Mishek Tafadu, that's like you're through the worst of winter. Still pretty bad in terms of it gets dark early, Fos Tashidurka Galua and it's raining a lot, that she curbosh the antomerfod and all that.
August Marshindia, but bit by bit you're through the worst of it, and you can you can see the horizon or that or the light of summer and spring. Maybe not summer, but the light of spring, Sulla. Eggdridgemlat coming towards you. And I always think the masters are around then, especially just after the clocks change. Jirk Theresh, Areacher and the Klig.
that's the time where you're like, Oh, it's it's spring now and winter's gone for another year. On Tarikotownish, Augustan Giver Imi andish And there's a few special things I think a lot of people in Ireland will be able to associate Wish staying up late to watch the masters, Ecphonic Suit. Gutsenach on Fakens Er the Masters, especially on the Sunday because of course because of the time difference Marial Aaron Cry Akadama, it doesn't finish until maybe one AM.
on Sunday night, Monday morning, leaving to Creek New Kee Hart or Henclug or Madsen, he had a Downey, no Madsen to Loon. And I think that's something quite special as well. There those small little details and the sunry bugishing. In terms of actually going to it and seeing it live, Matrale Veg Dolanshin, Axveg Vegan Serbio, one of the big things is there's a ban on mobile phones there.
So you can't take out your phone, you can't take pictures, I think you have to leave it somewhere beforehand, Kai the way Ogle, I'll take a river, and I think that's amazing as well. It looks so cool to not see anyone on their phones, because when in society nowadays can you do that? You'll cut him into it on a shiny yellow Sasaki a lot on your own
Never really. Never eve, no nigga's o because everybody always has a reason to be on their phone, or at least some people in a group will be on their phone, they're allowed to buy couplet dinner, er on phone, ask group or more. So I think that's pretty neat, but more than anything aesthetic. And the images you always have every gusta in your mind and Yvonne at
to Augusta Id Inchin. It's so green, the colours, the way the course hasn't changed, that she called Glosshin Nadahana, unque knockwil and course area Fairly sure the course and the layout is the exact same as forty or fifty years ago. Tomisok, Kincha, Gwillan Corsa, Auguson Layout, Girok, Maravice, Caracen, no quigblino.
And that's something special as well and that tradition going with it. And Tradashun Shin Ikdul When you're going around to the different holes and you're seeing different players, you can see the case of the case. Giffrulla, you're not just watching them play, in a way you're watching Tiger Woods in two thousand play. In a way you're watching uh Seve Balesteros in nineteen ninety play, or you're watching Jack Nicholas in nineteen eighty.
Because the images you've seen on television of them playing the Hyvana Top Fecchia ad erntelefish to seeds in the gimmicts. It hasn't changed at all. Mm-hmm. Herb. You're looking at at the same design, at the same flag position, the same colours and the Dalniki and the On Bratz Sanoch, Kenya, Aaron Green, everything is pretty much identical.
So I think that's something special as well and maybe a common theme in my list of five today. But your thema kotsienta asgokrotha am Celista and you Before I move on and talk about number three, I do just want to say one or two things in relation to learn Irish online.

¶ Cheltenham Gold Cup's Unique Buzz
So on to number three Arrash and So Hwig Iver Tree and it's a bit of a random one. So random up'cause I don't have any interest in horse racing in general. Nilane Simam Sarosi of this Nakapul Noin Ruth Marchin. But I've picked the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Horse race. in the world or certainly in the UK and Ireland, Sarique Thainthya, August in Aaron, Kaishivat, Marin Kianismo up there with the Grand National of course. And I could easily just say the Grand National.
for this is for each lemon Grand National Raw live show. But I feel like more Irish go over for Cheltenham. Haven't gummy ni smoke air in the gig doll and shame light channel, and there's a bit of a buzz in the air'cause it's normally St. Patrick's week. Take an all beans here, so I mentioned earlier everything here's mid March to the end of May, Bingokard Solista Show, Ershule, O Lore Mimortha, Gzera, Mivialtana, well.
the one that starts it. This is the kind of first event in the calendar. It's the uh the first event of spring on Khid Imuk scenario. So more than anything I just think it would be great crack. Nismona in Rodella Gap Krack a bunch of. Of course you'd have the big race itself for an Oivek on on Ross Moore and Gold Cup.
Ad and everything else the Gascoch Rodella, but even just the small stuff of flying over, I think a day or two before, I get us La Noco River, because so many Irish go over to Cheltenham. To see is Marianne Gmin and Maidge and Aaron Eggdolanshin on a echo. Even being in Shannon Airport and getting a flight to East Midlands or London Luton or whatever the airport is. Eggfall and Etchelshin, oh East or Oh Shonan Akansinga East Midlands go.
London Luton or I don't know what airport ye get to Channel with, Nilsam Kane Airport of in to Eggdulwiga on Shrekware Channel. But knowing that all the other Irish in that flight are hens channel and hens of the races, touch it Dulg Jane Rossi, Dulga Chandlenham. And I think it's a great example of an event where Irish and English people kinda mix and properly get along.
I I sok Lakelog's actually bunch that Navas rodaging like doesn't really maybe that sounds like a weird thing to say. Bitter go come ashtok er shin Augusgur Rodashduk Ish in Lara, but I really don't think considering we're two islands so close together. Capogol Muds Mar Ga Ilon Zirkanaka Len Khela, there really aren't that many events or sporting events that we share or kind of do together and even more and ruddy I mean to Gdenu L Khela, but Cheltenham is probably the best example of that.
Captain Goel, Chell the Mart and Samples Farajin, even the jockeys, about half the jockeys are Irish, La Jenna Jockeys is here in the gid, then half of the trainers la channel train all the and everything else, such as Marchinja. So I just think that'd be great crack. Again, it's a place that hasn't really changed. Ot Nagalatriomoron, the first gold cup, was there in nineteen twenty four on the gold cup, Vice Savin Niet Fehkaher.
And the excitement as they're coming down the last few furl longs like it's not like We're gonna coupe La Furlong Zernock and the buzz in the crowd and people.
going mad and a 50-1 Favourites is leading or a 50-1 Favourites, a 50-1 Outsiders is leading and he's going to win, but then someone else is coming up in the Favourites And the better is on Gelterucht even if you're not a big better, there's good crack button five quid or ten quid down on someone to cracking to get winch like Kug Euro or her Ern Gopel so no Hugiro Ern God.
So I just think more than it'll be good crack and something different on a sport I haven't really had much experience with sport, Nakul more and tahum lesh cov Number four.
¶ Snooker World Championship at Crucible
I said about Snooker on Formula One earlier. Louis May, on Snooker Ruggs and F one River, and I said there's nothing F one related in this list, Dorchman Aquiline Rudy. Winsuchlesh on F one Celeste Show But there is something related to Snooker. Tower they can winchukles snooker. Anybody who knows anything about Snooker and then uh well in all the saku modulesh on snooker, you guys will probably already know.
What I'm gonna choose here is Chance Ma Goele Isagov Hanafain Kien Imukt no Kin Rud Owilme Hun Pyuku and Sha and that is the final session of the final match. So on session dear nooks a clichanish at the Crucible in Sheffield at the start of May. So a cru egg on crucible, a sheffield, a sasana, a thus me field. I've really got into Snooker over the last year or two. Tometraishari Gotha Lash on Snooker Lablin or Noose. It's gonna come out of nowhere, Capim Garhonicshay S.
random ox Neil Sagman must keen arch a haunning sh. I guess I Ronnie Sullivan was like a gateway drug for me V Ronnie Sullivan and Kazullah drug gateway dumpsa because through getting interested uh around him and his personality and his life story. Asave, Garri Gafa, Leshane, Agus on Schale, Agus on Schale Sailta Ega. I started getting interested in watching his matches and then watching other snooker matches as well. And now even playing this boys, a gamer.
on SportCov Ma. August near thought to wigglarch when you're speaking about places to watch snooker and snooker venues, my total large na in a will to snooker. August Vanus Susnook. Anybody again who knows anything about the sports. They'll all tell you the same. It's all about Sheffield. It's all about the World Championships in April and May. The Gokrod Winch Le Sheffield. As I'm going down there.
In mi pieltana, no e mi eybron. Normally it's the last week or two of April and the first week of May. And the crucible has so much history with it, and it's a peculiar venue. Why? Well, firstly it's tiny. It's just a theatre in Sheffield. It's not a big sporting arena. It's just our clum, biogie is Sheffield, and I think its capacity is only 900 people. Yamung capacity a tag anil shak ni gade dinner.
So it's quite tough to get tickets for it, Tush is soft jacker and thick aids at all though. And It's been there for about forty or fifty years at this point, no quick. Some Irish people might remember Kendarzy winning us in nineteen ninety seven. Shanska Givnian Ernig Nunyarth Ernig are Kendarzy at Bukinsh on World Championships in Nij Nokasha. Or even before that, Jennis Taylor in nineteen eighty five, Janice Taylor and Nijikuk de Kuig. In the black ball finals, black ball.
against Steve Davis in nineteen eighty two, Alex Higgins, Ninja Doto, Alex Higgins. And if you looked at the arena, or if you were there that night, must rather they grout to unshin Ani Hashin. No. Mustra they grow to Fech and Sh ern Telfish Erin Crucible. it hasn't changed really at all. Ninja Ahriya or Kerba. It's very small and they have to have for the first week or two of the tournament, no khade sakta no go chin tournament, they have to have two tables going at the same time.
Kaishit Gall Voured Snooker Achar Erschul Eganam Kana'cause the games are so long and so many games to get through Ton the Klehi Kofada Shin Nagustan made shin clichi lahimer They have to have the two tables there, Kahishid, Anda, Vaurid, Eva, Akuanshin, Agas, Nahimri, Egemirch, Egaram Kela. They have to have the two of them playing at the same time. So as a result of that, it's a worse sin. It's very tight and it's very small. Even with one table it's small enough.
But even sometimes you'd almost think, God, he's not gonna be able to get the cue. fully back. I'm doing a bit of Q action with my hands now, which you can't see, but he'll struggle even to properly hit this right now. It's made perfectly so that regardless of the shot you have to play Tushitga Furfa, so it's come a kinch shot at you'll always have the full extension and be able to play. properly, but it's really tight and closed in and anybody who goes in thin a
Avine and Shin they always say it's even smaller than you think that's a few ni sloo no march happen too. And again going back to the thing of Augusta, Ig Dollar Rashwigan Rod Shin let Augusta. not just the snooker that you're watching, it's the history of the place on star atos and all.
while you're watching whoever it might be, Zhao Zentong or Joe Trump, or one of the younger players, Kyonzana Himarini's oga, and you're there in twenty twenty six thus on Shane Gawville's Feche, really at the same time, you're watching The black ball final from nineteen eighty five and Steve Davis And Dennis Taylor, Totok Vehunser and Glei Kyanashiger, Steve Davis, August Dennis Taylor, Nija Gokta Kuig.
Or you're watching Stephen Hendry from the nineties, Stephen Hendry on the Lokaji because it hasn't changed at all and the table is pretty much the same and they haven't changed the format of the competition at all. Neil and format Apriya Aku or Korba. So it's still just straight knockout. Last year the defending champion Kyron Wilson lost on day one. He was gone. Kyle Tayer and Gay Lawish Amy had.
It's not like other sports where you have the rebouchage or playoffs or preliminaries or second chances. They haven't changed at all. So I love the Snooker World Championships. I love Snooker in general, see them Snooker Generalta a Horia on current downs and crave down the It Sheffield, uh to the final session of the final would be incredible because yes, the finals played over four different sessions over two different days in Rheatcher on on Chlehishin and Klehikanish.
Hard law's carrot session to fruit.
¶ Hamden Park and Scottish Pride
So the last one then isn't just sporting event per se. Ni imokht a wan a shot. But what it is, is a stadium I would like to see. Kinda almost going back to the Stade de France thing earlier, if you Bionakasu leche on Rod, Lesh on Stade de France River. It's to go to a game in in Hamden Park. So Huntulgle Hamdenbark and I made the terrible mistake in the fluent version of the podcast this week.
Reneme on Botun Dol Khredza, so Fot Krayla Leafa known gana lagen chen Fodkrela and Sakten Show, then I said Hamden Park was in Enbra, Dorchma Grow Hamden Park e New England. It's Nash, it's in Glasgow. Toshia Glasgow. So for anybody who doesn't know, it's the national football or soccer stadium in Scotland. Toshimar installed Noshunte, the soccer in Alban. And it's where Scotland play their home games, Shinonaut Avine, Alvin, a game which uh a Guj, Gujalia.
In the soccer and the rugby they play Sorelse, they play in Murray Fields, rugby beans the gimmicks in Al Chella, Beanshi Gamer in Murray Fields. But in the soccer they play there and I think the main other events that take place there in the previous yellow of Einer Shu Lanshin would be the Scottish Cup final.
Okay, so Kuran Albanoch Angle Gyanish, normally in between Seljuk and Rangers,'cause they're normally the two teams who reach the final checking all Idriselskog's Rangers, Rabin Sheedson Mara and Da Erin Er Uncle Ganish. No. I don't think I'd like to go to a Scottish Cup final if it was between those sides. I don't think I'd like to go to an ol all firm match, which is the word for a Celtic Rangers match. Nihapum, Garwatlum, Dolga Kleh, Idri Celtic August Rangers.
For me, I don't like that rivalry. I know a lot of Irish people are are really interested in Celtic, there's some Gwilaan Ernig on Tokal Celtic, and that's fine, Tushishinkirkal, but I think the rivalry is uh I think it's really sad, more than anything omiocht, it's in that ear and the shant brochel. Obviously some parts of it are great, but I think the sectarianism connected to it and the hatred on Fuhis it's just not on in this day and age and I think
It's uh it's really sad how seriously that's taken by a lot of people. So I wouldn't like to go to a match where there's sectarian chants or where there's proper hatred in the air with fool his snare. Um I don't think that's fair and I don't think it's good from either side. For me I'd much prefer to go to a Scotland match. Bravum Dull Wickliha Alban's Alban a Germanshin. For example, Scotland played Denmark in a big World Cup qualifier.
a few months ago the Albany in Ayn Darnwerga Igleha on a war Kupla Miohin and that would have been really cool to go to the Krulegen Machine on on a cool on Fecal and the Scots playing at home, the flower of Scotland, the anthem before the game on tower on shunta riv on on cleha stuff like that I think would be really, really cool. Rudy Kasulishin vexy on on a cool erfod and
Yeah, to to see the national team play in Scotland and Ireland of course we've so many connections. Air Axal Bernard Noeton Mait and Kangle Chieves Buinsey. Agin, Lenikela. So something like that would be really really cool. Rodegamar Shin Vex on on cool.
¶ The Power of Sporting History
Er fod and it's a real old school stadium. It looks to me a lot like the old Wembley. Tokuma er, Kassula Shon Shan Wembley. I've never been uh to either of those. I wasn't born well, I was born in the same year they knocked down the old Wembley, Rogus Savlin Cain the Mahin Shkrist Sheed on Shan Wembley and I've never been to Glasgow, any Ramarie of Glasgow, so I've never seen Hampton Park or any of the stadiums up there. No Aynstad Husanchin.
To me, from images I've seen and from the games I've seen on TV, Asnahivana, a Topeki Agam Agneshi Tofekam Husanchin It really seems like the old Wembley in a lot of ways, which is an iconic stadium, um Artsagan that's Artsagan Atalmara, yeah, Fierce Thought, uh a proper kinda old school stadium. So I'd lo I'd love to go there, but maybe mentioning that kind of old school traditional thing. A galua
on on Rodzin, Gwilot Shuntishan, I'm sure maybe it's a good place to to finish it and to mention one thing before I wrap it up. Padre Is
Lesha Augus Honjera Accur Leshon Bodkriles. Obviously the common theme today in between these different events or places on on Rodegan a ta egg na hotch nasha alig Is that they're old school, they're traditional and as I mentioned several times throughout this podcast, Mara Louis May, Good Blower, I re and Fotcare Show, they haven't really changed over the years.
Going to the Crucible now would be very similar to going thirty years ago, same thing for places like Hamden Park and Augusta National and all that August Martinski. I wanna say one thing that I actually think nostalgia, even though this has been a bit of a nostalgic episode, the Keger episode, the Xaggran Sock nostalgic issue, I think nostalgia is really really dangerous. Kevin will say on thons here.
I think a lot of the biggest problems we have in the world now come from nostalgia. Get my launch in a five and it's mo ta aagin or down. So when I'm talking about these things and For example, turless or clonus being cooler in Crow Park. I don't think Crow Park should go back to the way it was. I just think it's a bit of fun to look back and think of places that haven't changed too much and very historical places. In reality, I think in general society, in a wider society, Susaki ginneraard.
stuff like nostalgia and stuff looking back such as twenty, thirty, forty years ago and saying things were better than a girl, grow ruddy in his far and shin, it can be very dangerous and can lead to a huge amount of problems, especially on Don't Share. I guess. Is fair lawn fibinet, sock that's chin. I guess being a lawn fibena, a lot of problems do come out of that. So I hope that's that's clear when I'm talking about these things and talking about old school places or traditional places.
I'm certainly not saying we should go back to the way we were we were living forty or fifty years ago and especially the way we treated a lot of people in society thirty or forty years ago and we around much wig alantini in our sucky carca no qua blino.
