Episode description

Matt Podolsky grew up immersed in the New England outdoors, but it was an IMAX documentary he saw at an early age that changed his view of humanity’s place in nature. His career as a wildlife biologist working with California Condors led him into the realm of documentary production aimed at conservation. He co-founded Wild Lens, a non-profit committed to telling the stories of those dedicated to conservation issues worldwide. He and Jason talked over Skype about the challenges of documentary filmmaking, problems wildlife face, our place in the ecosystem of Earth, and his experiences using condors to locate human remains.
