Surviving and Thriving in Uncertain Times

Melissa Wilson is Senior Economist (SA) at the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) and co author of the latest CEDA report on How Australian Firms can survive and thrive in uncertain times.

According to the report productivity is the key driver of rising prosperity and living standards. But we are falling behind - The Productivity Commission’s recent five-year review found productivity is growing at its slowest pace in 60 years.

In this conversation with Melissa we talk about the differences between dynamic and ordinary businesses, why productivity has fallen and how will the hybrid world work impact this. 

We also talk about how Australian businesses are great at sensing opportunities, some are great at seizing but not many are great at transforming and how this impacts us Nationally and Globally.
