so, yeah, where we decided that fun factfriday, as it is, is is done, and we we thought about maybe we'll just take the fff as we have funfacfriday.com, and all that stuff, we can take that whole brand and pivot it and do all that stuff. And then we decided we're just going to start a whole new show, new branding, new ideas, new format,
everything. Like it. Start from scratch. Yeah, I think, I think you're really gonna like it if you come on over now, we are not going to shy away from topics that would not be kid friendly. Leila is 14. Should be 15 pretty soon. So we're gonna start talking about a little bit heavier topics, news stories, things like that. And sometimes those can get pretty current events, yeah, sometimes those things can get pretty, pretty gruesome, and, you know,
or just something you wouldn't want, like your, yeah, kids don't
need to know about what's going on in the real world. Let them play their games and goof around the front yard, you know, yeah, totally. Like, my life, right? So, um, yeah, that's, that's what's gonna happen. Where we've got a really good plan. We've already started working. We bought a domain, not telling y'all yet, not telling you yet. Yeah, we all that stuff on the website, where we are keeping the domain for the time being, at least another couple years. Imagine if people,
instead of like commenting something on our Twitter to like, let us know about something, they send us a mail. Yeah, they send us a mail. Well,
we've got the PO Box. We're gonna have the PO box for you know, as long as we can, we can afford the monthly fees to keep going up, yeah, or yearly fees, I guess, and then yeah. So end in the show. We're gonna take December off. It has been a fantastic ride. Looking back at we got 210 episodes, most of which are actual episodes? Yeah, there's a few, you know. Hey, we're not having a show this week, sort of episodes and but we started the show just as a little fun project. It picked up
a little steam. The steam has kind of petered off a little bit. We've, we're, our numbers aren't doing as good, which I gotta say, we haven't been putting in as much, you know, enthusiasm lately with your school and your band and things like that, but we started the show, and it became an opportunity for me to sit down with you once a week and have a
good conversation, goof off and a light atmosphere. And I know from correspondence that we've gotten, that we've we've touched some people's lives, just in, you know, even just in the way of like they it gives them something to listen to that they know is not going to be political. They know it's not going to have controversy or anything inappropriate. And it's just, you know, a guy and his daughter goofing off, yeah, and
having a good time. We hope that we can do that yeah. And we want to thank everybody who's stuck with us for the last almost five years, yeah, or however long you've been around a year, whatever.
Or if you just Yeah, happen to see the last two episodes and be like, Yeah, this is pretty, pretty neat. Yeah.

It will be starting in January. We're taking December off from podcasting, yeah, now, when I say we're taking December off, that doesn't mean we're not gonna be working just behind the mic. We
won't be releasing, well, right? We'll be releasing content. It's not this content, not
this and it won't be fun factfriday content. It will be the new show content. We'll be releasing, we might actually release the announcement on this feed. So like I said, Stay subscribed to this RSS feed, the fun factfriday Feed. We're going to have a trailer for the new show, and that'll probably be the last thing that we'll post on this feed. So we'll change the completed tag to completed after we get the trailer for the
new show on there. That way, if somebody finds our show, the first thing that they'll see on their list is, you know, hey, this show's over, but we have a new one. If you if you go back and listen and like this one, have we said the new version yet we have not. I would like to tell our listeners before we tell Twitter and all of the other people in the world, so all of our devout listeners get to hear the name of the show first, Leila. Leila, are you gonna? Are you gonna say it? Are
you? Oh, my God, I swear everything's an argument. That's it. Everything's an argument. Is the name of the new show. The website is argument, pod.com, right now. It's just a placeholder. I think you all like the placeholder. It's extremely artistic, and I worked very long on that placeholder website. If you go to
it like within the first day or two of this episode being out, you'll see what he means. Yeah,
up until about December, probably, probably mid December, it's going to be like that with the placeholder. So December 2024 next.
We want to get everything ready to post. Yeah,
and I'm gonna, I'm gonna build this one better from the ground up, because as we went along with Fun Fact Friday, little behind the scenes stuff here, like, I messed up some stuff at the beginning with how the how I structured everything, and I, like redoing everything while you've got a current what podcast, yeah, and like restructuring, because I had
our, I didn't have goods, right? I didn't have a bunch of technical stuff, just I wish I had set it up differently when I initially set it up, it would have made things a lot easier. But we definitely wanted to say thank you to everybody who's ever made a donation to the page, ever supported us in any way, be it postcards or magnets for the fridge or the Garfield calendar or the Christmas gifts we got. Everything has been so heartwarming to us. It's so
much more than we could ever imagine. Yeah, starting the show,
and we're hoping that most of you will follow us over to the new show,
even if you'll listen for a couple episodes. Yeah, even if you hate it's not your jam. And we
are definitely open to ideas. We've got some ideas on what we want to do, but we're still but we're still kind of brainstorming a few things. Yeah,
in our new show, we'll probably give more way to topics that we can I mean, not that we don't have topics that are sent in by listeners. Now,
yeah, we do but, but we can also do it'll be easier to do guests, because we won't have to put, like, tell the guests a whole bunch of rules
at the beginning, cut stuff out because, right, it'll
be a lot easier. We'll probably be doing a little more live because the format works better. And we may even, we may even implement some live streams of this video. We may play some games together or something. Maybe you'll see what I look like now. Yeah, she looks like,
I don't look 10 anymore. No, she
doesn't. But we wanted to thank everybody, and we wanted to thank the people who have donated in the last two weeks. We didn't put an episode out last week because we were working hard on trying to get graphics and and we need, we need help with the art, and we need help with some music. So if you are good at art, or I know you're doing the music, but like, let's say somebody can help. Let's say somebody can take what we record and they can master it and make it sound
better. Yeah, I'm not necessarily. I can master spoken word, I can do sound effects, things like that, but I'm not great with music, and I know there's a lot of people who, at least a few people I know that listen to the show, that are good with mastering music, arranging music, all kinds of stuff. We're not forcing you to do anything. No, no, it's value
for value. If you enjoyed our show. Speaking of value for value, we have had a few boosts in the last couple of days, or the last extra last two weeks, and we wanted to read those now. show from Kevin house. We're gonna dig. We're gonna Deep Dive. That is one episode. That is one thing we're looking at doing is deep diving. We named it everything's an argument, because she's a teenager now,
and I come from a completely different generation than he does,
and we get into arguments about things like, I'm like, a dumb argument. You, you your your music these days. I'm like, No. I'm like, What is brat?
Oh my gosh. We need to discuss that on the new show.
We'll release a preview of one of our arguments, absolutely, but, yeah, record a couple. Everything's an argument. It's gonna be great. Um, okay, back to the back to the donations. Yeah, 847 SATs from Kevin Hallas. He rhymes with fallacy. 847 just for the mystery of 847

rants that I've been holding kind of back.

And she's been holding them back because she doesn't want to get too angry and, you know, upset anybody? Any who we have a 1000 sat from Cameron says, looking forward to the new show, Cameron must follow us on the socials. Yeah. Oh, you might have heard it on the last because we mentioned on the last episode, yeah, yeah. Forgot. So, yeah, just these SATs in addition to all the other sets that we've gotten, over the last
How long are we getting SATs? Three years, three and a half years, yeah, since the beginning this thing a little bit after the beginning. Yeah, it was because the SAT didn't actually come in until, let's see, that
kind of became our main thing, main way of getting money. Yeah,
I'm clicking Show older boosts, and it only goes back to April 6 of 2022 however, we, I know we were getting them before that, but we also, we moved to the helipad after we started getting sets, because, remember, we had that other service, and then we built the Umbral So, yeah, so, I mean, I'm looking back, and we've got, we've got, we've got 20,000 SATs back in 2022 we've got 100,000 SATs twice in a row for our 100th episode. I mean, you, I know that she's pulling up the
calculator. Gosh, there's another look. There's another 100,000 SATs. I just looked at 100 Wow, for 100 So do that times three? So three, yeah, so do 300,000
Whoa. I just hit the table. So,
I mean, we've gotten, if you look at just like episode 99 to episode 110 we probably got half a million SATs.
Oh, my God,
that's a lot of money. Yeah, so, and, I mean, there's, there's Adam curry, mere mortals podcast. You know, we've gotten, we've gotten all the support from everybody, and then then our, we have to, we have to carve out a special section right here for Dreb Scott. Dreb Scott's been a part of the team, Dreb Scott, came in and helped us do chapters to helped us. He
does the chapters. Came in and gets our transcripts ready for us, and uploads them, gets in there and you know, like, if I mess up something, which I do quite often, like, Hey, you didn't change the title on Episode 128, you didn't change the title. I have to go back in and fix it, but he lets me know. And then on top of that, Dreb has helped us out with donations, monthly donations for the entirety of the show. Has been around since the beginning, and we can't think, can't. Thank
you. Enough, Dreb, that being said that that's we wanted to say something special for Dreb there. But everybody who's donated, Steven Grimes been there since the beginning with his $10 a month, absolutely. And then, I mean, we've just had so many, so many supporters over the years.
I remember when he, like, at the very beginning of the show, walked into the den and was like, we got our first donation. And I was like, what? Well,
that wasn't her, yeah, oh yeah. I remember the first one. First one was Sherry Lorem, yeah. Sherry, yeah, yeah. So they're, you know, it goes, it goes all the way back and then receiving the stuff in the mail. But
I didn't think we'd actually get money from this thing. We did. Yeah, just a
little, so little thing, but no, it's, it's, it has paid for itself, and we've been able to put some money away for Leila future. We haven't spent any of the SATs that have been given. So if we take all the sets that we've got right now, Yeah,
seriously, just leave it in there. Let it roll. But I wanted to tell everybody, if you have made a donation in the last you know, however long, and you feel like, Hey, I paid y'all I thought the show was going to continue, and you're killing the show, let us know we have no problem sending back what you know, whatever amount you know we you say you need back or you want back, definitely not a problem whatsoever. Just let us know we do the show value for value. And I really want anybody
think, Oh, we're doing this for the money. Because if we were doing it for the money, we were done ads, yeah, and I would have been pushing it a lot harder on social media and been but I like
our little community. I like our little small group. We get good, encouraging emails from people, and this has been a positive experience all around I really can't think of any negative part of it, except for the times when it was extremely hot out here in the studio, or extremely cold out here in the studio,
or we forgot, and we were like, No,
yeah, we're the middle of something. We're like, we didn't put an episode out quick. We gotta pretend like we were we it was intentional. Make it a silly speculation Saturday week, yeah?
So yeah, that's what we did for half of our silly speculation Saturdays. I hate to
say it, well, we always had topics queued up, though, yeah, we always had something that we wanted to talk about. And the vast majority of our show is improv. Yeah, like we we literally script, we literally research for 10 minutes, 15 minutes, we find a couple of websites. And y'all can probably tell this by most of the episodes. I mean, we just straight up very professional. Um, yeah, no, not with the show.
This shows. This show was I so I could talk to my daughter. I've got five years of audio recordings of me having conversations with my daughter in her formative years. Yep, that's a, that's a life hack right there. When she's she's like, when she's like, Dad, your mom are boring. I'm leaving and she moves out,
or I get a job, job.
Okay, you can be a little less. Terry, 27 um,
you would hate it. You can't.
Oh my gosh, you'd be gone. No way, no way. But yeah, I've got, I got five years of recordings. I'm happy with it, and we're gonna go even further. You know, we've got this new show.
