Spring Break.

Leila

It's over.

David

We're back. I did not. I did not stay with the good. Oh wow. Welcome to Fun Fact Friday. Fun Fact Friday with Leland, David and David.

Leila

And we love

David

doing it. You didn't do your little joke to get old like eight episodes ago.

Leila

No. No, it did. No.

David

Yeah, we're a weekly show where we discuss fun facts surrounding different topics. Now this episode, we've got a few facts but we're just going to be telling y'all about what we did on our spring break vacation. We took last week off and pretty much the week before. As you can tell from the feed because we wanted to take a little spring break. Leila was off school. I was off school pagers off of work. So we we took a little trip and ran tell you about it. Yeah. So where

Leila? What's your favorite spring break?

Leila

Um, I like the one that like, Isn't April.

David

Yeah, we we got in the car last Friday. And we went to oh, well, we went so many places. Yeah, we went straight to Winston Salem. And we just got to hotel room like that was it for that day. We just next day we went to the mall. There is a huge mall in Winston Salem, North Carolina called the Hanes Mall. The biggest mall. It is the biggest mall in North Carolina. Hurray. I got it, right. Yep. And we just kind of kind of piled around the mall and the shop we wanted to go to

we went in. They have a big old Jim stone store. We

Leila

went in we looked everything. We're like, oh, we booked it wasted

David

money there. We bought we bought like three things. It was like $15 and love. We'll tell you later. Why that was a waste of money. Yeah,

Leila

I bought a little tiny, probably one inch by one inch star made out of titanium. And it's like that holographic titanium. So it's really pretty. Right. I bought a rock so pretty.

David

That we're gonna put in the tumbler. Yeah. So um, yeah. So then we went to we were hanging out and Leila has been wanting to get her ears pierced. And now she's

Leila

gotten my ears pierced. Ron. I don't know if that was before the show or not? Probably. Yeah, I think it was. I don't remember. It was the year before we did the show. And I had had those initial piercings. But I was like, Oh, I'm gonna second piercing. And we saw this tattoo parlor. And I was like, Yo, or no, my mom was like, Yo, bathroom. I was in the bathroom. And my mom saw it. And she was like, I bet she wants to

get her ears pierced again. Because I already talked about it for a while while

David

she was thinking about getting it done here in town, but it was way more expensive here in town at a place that that's not even like what they do. Yeah. So yeah, so when she came out, we surprised her for her 14th birthday and let her go get her ears pierced to the vet to parlor.

Leila

Yeah. And we walked in and they were like, are we were like, do you do piercings here? Like, obviously. And I was like, Y'all have the, the, the gun to pierced the ears, or nose or whatever. You know, like, no,

David

they do it manually manually.

Leila

They got the

David

needle in the cord. So real quick, the girl that was at the front that we talked to had all these tattoos, right? Just random tattoos all over the place. And I saw one on her arm. And it was Bobby Hills face. But the lines from his neck went down and turned into a bobby pin shape. So it was a Bobby Hill pin.

Leila

Oh my gosh.

David

I thought it was so funny. And I was like wait, because he was the she was right in the middle of a sentence. And I was like, Wait a minute. I love that I need to stop and make sure everybody appreciates the Bobby. And then she came out from around the counter and had a tattoo on her leg of all of the the King of the Hill character standing in the in the alleyway. Oh my gosh. Oh my god. And we just talked about King of the Hill for a little while. But anyway, she got her went back

and go ahead. I went

Leila

back. They were like, they put the little dots on my ears because they they put a little pin dot where you wanted to go. And they're like, go look at it. Make sure it's okay. I was like, yep. And then I came back and you're like, Okay, I'm gonna clean your Iraq and you're off 123 And wow, you know how we owl and honestly, that's less than doing the piercing gun. Right? So she says it the blunt force SNESs of the gun.

David

Yeah, like that. But the guy the guy who did it, it's

Leila

like someone pinching you really fast. Right? Or like When you get a finger prick, that's what I compared the first one to.

David

You said the second one hurt worse. Or just the first one.

Leila

What did you say? First one hurt worse.

David

Okay, well you're kind of expecting it the second time you already knew it and feel like so maybe the anticipation made it but I also wasn't knowing what it would feel like Right? Right so then, uh but anyway the guy who was doing it looked over and he had one of those like a steam deck the handheld computer with the controllers but it wasn't the steam deck brand new Lenovo, right Lenovo. And all my guys made him like nerded out for a

minute on it. But yeah, it was real quick got it done. He gave her the instructions on cleaning and keeping everything disinfected and now she has to three holes in each year to artificial on one natural so that was that was pretty much it. Oh we went to a place in Winston Salem that had a bunch of used this was one of the highlights of the trip for me

used retro video game stuff. vinyl LPs books, video games everything bunch of it was like basically like a used bookstore where they had everything and I got a fully functional with one caveat nintendo switch for $40 The only thing wrong with it was the battery was completely dead which you can revive with an official Nintendo charger and the SD card reader is messed up and I ordered a new one of those for five bucks.

Leila

I got two video games which I still haven't played yet. It's on the DS I got am crossing new leaf and Animal Crossing something wrap no

David

I know what it's called. But Winston Salem while you're thinking about it Winston Salem was not the the goal of our trip. Okay, hold on. We weren't we weren't even partially there

yet. So the next night we went to Asheville and we didn't really do a lot in Nashville. Yeah, we kind of just chilled out we went out and ate a couple of nice places and then moved on to the main place that we were going which was Pigeon Forge wild world to see Animal Crossing World World Animal Crossing Wild Yeah, I got them both we went to Pigeon Forge Tennessee and severe Middle Tennessee both of those which are like right next to pretty much the same thing. But there's

so much to do in these places. They're like super tourist Trappy you know like they have all the race car or what they

Leila

call a big flashy sign

David

big

Leila

like I compared it to like a little mini Vegas yeah but not as gambler

David

yeah less gambler more

Leila

kid kitschy?

David

You know, tourists, right? Like they had a big old big old King Kong on the side of one of the buildings and you know, stuff like upside down building. Yeah, completely upside down building but they made it look like something had picked up the building flipped it over and dropped it. Yeah. So like it was all cracked. And they were still like pavement from the road on the top of it. It was really I think any pictures of that, but you can find them online. You can look

up. You did. Okay. But um, yeah. We also let's see once we got to Pigeon Forge, and we'll go into some of the funny stuff that happened as we go. But uh, we went to the crime Museum, which is like the main one of the main reasons Phaedra wanted to go because it was all about like, criminals and prisons and prison breaks. It's called Alcatraz east. There's a link in the show

notes, their official site. But we got lots of cool, there's a bunch of photo ops there, like you can get behind bars, you can get in the lineup, but we went all the way through. And we that they had OJ Simpson which he passed away today. They had his actual Bronco. That was from that Chase. Yeah. So he got to see the actual Bronco. I think they had his golf clubs there too. But uh, but they had lots of neat stuff like interactive

stuff that you could do in the crime Museum. Like they had a How can you outrun the cops like they had this thing where you like stand in place and run really fast? Yeah, I'll just bust was that you? Yeah, okay.

Leila

I sent the picture yeah. And

David

then the the they had like a cop motorcycle there you could get on and you know fake ride it they had what was it called? The Gallows? The what? The Gallows? What were they the thing? I think that's what it's called. Where you put your head and you know the good teams where they chop off your head? Yeah, no, I'm talking about the one that we put our arms and heads through a guillotine No, that's not a good team.

Leila

What is it gallons oh my gosh, what does it gallon was both. I refuse to open my computer because it takes too much effort. I

David

don't like okay, so Microsoft went ahead and just added Copilot to my Windows which is its AI. It's basically chat GBT, but it's like one click away on your desktop.

Leila

That's a movie.

David

What is a gallows and make sure I don't think that's what oh no, nevermind, the gallows. Is the hanging post? Yeah. What is it called? When you put your hand here?

Leila

What is it called? When you put your head in your hands into a thing,

David

all right, I'm gonna think of it instantly. pillory I just remembered it I didn't pause. I didn't check and look on the internet for it. It's called a pillory. Which a pillory is a it's like you've seen them I probably shows a mess. We it's a piece of wood that they've cut in half and they've got like a place for your hands and a place for your head. Yeah, you put it in there. And it was like to shame people.

It was like the shame. Yeah. And you know, hold him still and everybody could throw tomatoes at them and and all that you've seen a bunch of old cartoons, but they had a pillory there. So we took a picture of that. And then what else do they have? What are some of the other needs? They had some of Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber. They had some of his tools and a bunch of stuff about him. Who was the other one that you you?

Oh, the clown guy, John Wayne Gacy, John Wayne Gacy. That whole exhibit about John Gacy. Yeah, they

Leila

had to have his clown outfits. And they had a self portrait that he made of himself, which was weird.

David

There's a lot of weird stuff in there. I mean, like, Oh, tell him about the glasses that you got to put on.

Leila

And they had like these little goggles hanging from the ceiling. And they had a line on the floor. And it was one of those like, they were drunk goggles. Yep, drunk. Try and walk in a straight line with the drunk goggles on

David

it simulates like it bends the light and it throws off your balance sheet has

Leila

like written on the top. It has like blood alcohol content.

David

Right? How messed up your vision would be after you've had so much alcohol.

Leila

And it's like an estimation. Yeah.

David

But it's it is tough to walk in about that. It messes with you. messes with you real bad. What else was in the crime museum that you can think of? Hey, how

Leila

was your cars?

David

They had? Who was his name? The guy, Ted Bundy. Ted Bundy. They had his his VW code. Yes, all of these people.

Leila

They had his typewriter in there to his typewriter. They had some of the things from the Bonnie and Clyde

David

death car. Yes. But they didn't have the car. They had the car

Leila

from the movie. They had some artifacts from the actual cartoons. They had some bits of the windshield and some things around the glovebox

David

and the little plaque on the in front of the car. I was like, Oh my gosh, it's Bonnie and Clyde's car. Right. And I was like, and then at the top of the little plaque, it was like, Yes, this is the real Bonnie and Clyde's car from the movie. Like it's funny and clutch. Oh, thank you for your exam because I've been hearing about Bonnie and Clyde since I was like your age. You know, it's always like, one of the big ones.

Leila

I really only learned about like what they did a couple like when we went there. Right. I read dang it. I had heard about them like in passing of course. Right. So

David

after the crime museum, we walked over and there's this whole plaza. Good. They

Leila

also had some stuff that Jeff Jeffrey Dahmer had. Oh,

David

yeah, that's terrible. All these people are terrible. Yep. Shouldn't be celebrating them. Nope. But they they did have some neat. They did have some neat merch.

Leila

brought a lot of it but I got a Bonnie and Clyde shirt. Right.

David

And then we walked over there's this whole plaza of tourists trapeze stuff, and we went to the gemstone mining place. And it's you know, basically they take a bunch of gemstones raw, you know, raw looking gemstones, crystals and whatnot. And they put them in a bucket of sand. And then they give you a sifter, and they have like flowing water. And lets you you know, oh, look at me. I'm minor. Oh, but but, you know, they're just they're just selling you. Stones. Yeah, but

we bought the $100 bucket, which was a waste of money, right? It was like $100 We were like, You know what? We love gemstones. We bought the rock tumbler

Leila

I don't I'm stealing all the gems by the way. They're gonna go in my collection. No, but

David

they we got if we had bought all of these stones at the gemstone store in the mall, 500 bucks, it would have been more a ridiculous amount of money like that $100 bucket up in the mountains gave us a ridiculous amount of gemstones. So they're all

Leila

pretty good size too. We got like two chunks of Labradorite which is his favorite stone. And we got a whole bunch of clear and rose quartz and Amethyst, which are my faves right?

David

We got a lot of really neat ones and I'm gonna take some of them and I'm going to take the Dremel to them. And we're going to tumble some of them and some of them are just gonna leave like they are because they look really cool. And we're gonna have a good time with those but we got to get those what else what else happened in Pigeon Forge. Oh, we went to the hugest the biggest knife store in America. Oh, it's amazing. They had so many knives they had like at least seven

knives and swords. That swords.

Leila

Oh my god, they didn't even go your section. They had beats bears and Battlestar Galactica. That's how big it had

David

the entire Battlestar Galactica, know, when we were getting ready to leave, we had bought our knives because I've been looking for a new knife anyway, we ended up all getting a new knife. And then, like I looked around this corner, and we hadn't even looked at like a third of the store. Yeah. And we had been walking around. We were walking around for like an hour in the store looking at all the cool stuff. And we hadn't even seen a third

Leila

thing was me and him both have this like, directional thing where we can tell which direction we're going. And which direction we've already like been in. We're

David

both we both have a good sense of direction. Yeah, we have this thing

Leila

we have this thing where we can see out of rivals.

David

And we can remember where we have already

Leila

been.

David

We're super eager. We

Leila

went back to where the doors should have been. It wasn't there other side of the store. We were like we're RV. We're in the sword section.

David

Place was amazing. It was saying no. But yeah, we had a good time there. I definitely want to go back there and look look at some of the more exotic stuff because we kind of went to the like the moderately priced knives that are still good quality, you know? Yeah, cuz we're just looking for a good everyday pocket knife because I broke the tip off of mine. And that hurt my feelings

Leila

ignored. Ah, but

David

yeah, we did that. And then that was pretty much it for Pigeon Forge. I mean, we went popped in a couple of different shops. Oh, tell them about the story that we didn't we forgot to go into. But you really wanted to go into we kept passing by oh my

Leila

gosh, there was a Trump store

David

it was just called the

Leila

Trump store store had like three cutouts of Trump in the window and one of Melania Trump and we're like we have to go then we did. We didn't plan on just like buying anything. We just what we were just wanted to walk in and look around.

David

We ended up having to leave early. We were gonna stay another night and we were actually going to hit up Knoxville. But it just didn't end up happening that way because stuff that happened, but mainly severe weather alerts. And yeah, we didn't want to get out of their hotel. Yeah. We wanted to get out of there. Start heading towards towards home a little bit and then we stopped in Charlotte. We went to IKEA.

Leila

We oh we went to IKEA. Guess what? What? We went to IKEA.

David

It's Leila's happy play.

Leila

It's my happy place except for the second half where you're just walking around and your feet hurt and you're tired. Because you've eaten some Swedish meatballs that aren't sitting well in your stomach and want to go home. Note to self don't buy the shrimp salad or whatever. Especially when you're allergic to shrimp.

David

I don't know why we keep buying stuff.

Leila

So I got a blow haws which is the shark stuffed animal. I didn't know there was two sizes of blahs. I wanted a little small one. And I got the little small one. But I didn't know it was a big old one too. But the bagel was $30 and then we looked over and the real reason I wanted to come to IKEA the whole reason the whole reason we came to IKEA by the way this entire trip this entire trip was just for this one thing this $30 that I could have ordered online. Jungle Skog.

Jungle Skog is a I think it's pronounced Jungle Scout but I'm saying Jungle Scout

David

and his name is Paul is named Paul. It is a large oh my god is a large bear. With like derpy neck plush like Bear. But the way that went the way that he sits, he's got the big fat belly. Yeah. And his head's all like drooped down on his onto his stomach. So he's like sleeping

Leila

like a stiff neck like most teddy bears, right? So

David

his head just kind of flops down onto his stomach. Oh my gosh. He's hilarious. Look is hilarious. There's a picture. It should be a picture in the chapters of Paul in the backseat of the car. Yeah. Or truck. And I'm wearing his Leila's beanie and glasses. So Paul is now part of the family. I'm proud of it. He's, we're call him Dr. Paul. And we call them Mr. Paul. Anywho. But yeah, we had a we had a great time and then and then. Oh, I forgot something. Whatever. Before we left Pigeon

Forge the last thing on the way out. We went to some caverns. We did. Not the best caverns I've ever been to. It's called forbidden havens I've ever been to the forbidden cavern. link in the show notes to their official website but we went down Um, why don't you tell them about your first experience and Kevin? So

Leila

it was like this big ol hole. And we went in it and there was like, there was like, spikes and stuff. Pretty lame. It was really cool. All right.

David

So which is which? Which is the lag time, which is the lag. Oh,

Leila

I got this. I'm so good at this. Okay, I was pointing them out. I was pointing out because I'm so smart at this. If you look at the word still lag, okay, this is my secret. I'm done. Gatekeeping. So stalagmite, the M, if you look at it, it's like a little upward spike, right? So those are the ones that are coming from the ground. And still, like tight if you look at the tee. It's got a little it's got a little thing at the top, which is the ceiling and a little line coming down.

Is this the actual like point of it? I'm so smart. I'm so smart.

David

I just think of it, like stalagmite might be coming from the ground.

Leila

Oh my gosh, I hate it. You don't really? Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I'm about to make like the Roblox angry noise because I'm so mad. You don't really gets my goat. Okay, we need to put the Roblox noises on here. Because I'm mad about it. I hate that phrase. What? Because still might be coming from the ground. Yeah. And they might come in from the sea like to.

David

That's why it's funny. You are getting my goat. That's, that's why that's why I said because it doesn't, it doesn't make it better make it any better. That I know somebody who does that with with things. They they come up with little, little ways to remember something. And it's way more complicated than just remembering.

Leila

That's exactly what I do when I have like a test to study for and there's two different things that are like super similar but have way different names, like science and science. All right. We're going back to page one, okay. So like in a science class, I couldn't get sublimation in deposition right in my head. And up is wait. What is it? sublimation? Yeah, sublimation deposition. Sublimation is when something goes exactly from a solid to a gas. Like in one step, it

doesn't pass the liquid form. So like, dry ice. And deposition is when something goes from gas to a solid. And I figured that out because of Five Nights at Freddy's.

David

Which one would? What? Can you give me an example of something that goes from a gas to a solid? I'm having trouble thinking to a solid? Yeah, I'm thinking of like, I can't I can't think of any. Maybe it's something just happens in space.

Leila

Maybe I'm looking it up while I'm explaining this. There

David

was a font recently go. Excuse me. So

Leila

I figured it out. Because if you can deposit five coins, the five coins have to be solid. I was trying to figure that out in my head. Five Nights at Freddy's MAN Yeah, look, there's a character and ultimate custom night. Rockstar Freddy okay. I sound like a nerd. I am

David

crap I'm clipping

Leila

what do people at my school find out? So there's a character that will show up in your office and will be like Please deposit five coins? And if you don't, he'll kill you. So if you

David

so deposit the coins have to be solid? Yes. I mean, that's a solid way to remember it. Ah Oh no, that's that's not a bad one. But I've just I've heard some like really convoluted ways to remember something that's not that hard to remember. Get to given him off top my head

Leila

deposition what

David

the caves are really neat. They again, they didn't have most of the caves I've been in always have like a grand hall. Like there's like a huge opening with like, all kinds of cool stuff in it. This one was more of like a path that we went in and out. And you don't get to see the really cool stuff because it's too dangerous to get to you know, like I wanted to just jump right in the underwater underground river and

like, kick around and look go deeper. But you know, they don't let you because there's there in Drew's automation

Leila

of crystals and ice crystals. Say what? Oh, for a deposition. Okay. It's very rare, I think. But it's, we need to know it. Right? I guess.

David

Yeah. It might be something happens like stars or stuff like that some spacecraft or in a lab? Yeah. Um, but yeah, it's we got off on that tangent. And that was fun. We got some good pictures in the cave. There was this one section where like you had to like lean over the rail to see it but if you looked up into the ceiling, There was this huge formation and it looked like almost like a like what you'd imagine a brain looks

like. Yeah, like, I guess people's brains. But anyway, it was like all Ripley and wet looking and it was really really, really neat. And they had a bunch of candle wax. Yes, there you go looks like an entire wall completely covered in like years and years of candle wax dripping down. Yeah. Which is like if you took

Leila

a whole bunch of those candles, but like, shook a bunch of those candles and melted them like the straight up stick candles and took the wick out of them. And you placed them on a wall and then took a heat gun to it. Yeah, there

David

you go. That's like exactly what it was a five minutes crafts video.

Leila

I bet that's how we did it was from Kevin MacLeod music on here.

David

And then we gotta gotta attribute them because that's creative commons attribution. Yeah, non commercial, no derivatives.

Leila

But a shout out to him.

David

Okay, now that guy, that guy runs the internet music free scene. Kevin McLean.

Leila

You have his music. Well, I've got

David

some of his music and some of my music episodes. Oh, from back in the day. Before I used, you know, other sources. Yeah. So we let's see what else happened in the caverns? I think I think that was about it for the category. That

Leila

spiders. I didn't see any salamanders. We did see some BAP who we did some crystallized bat poo.

David

We went to a Cajun restaurant. And near Charlotte that they tried to poison me with some mushrooms. And there was a whole ordeal with that. But yeah, we had a really great spring break vacation. It was really good too. We kind of disconnected from the internet a lot. And we we weren't weren't on our phones a lot and weren't you know,

Leila

I checked a lot of Legend of Zelda. Yes.

David

She was over in the hotel room. I

Leila

beat two of the Divine Well, what are they called the temples? Because I'm playing here's the kingdom right now. They are the divine beasts pretty much. Right? Right.

David

So we need to do a video game episode where we just talk about our favorite games and talk about how fun they are. Yeah, but we we did. Why don't you tell them about each of the beds at the hotel.

Leila

Okay, here's my last summer preview. First night. Perfect. Peak Performance in a hotel bed. I think that was the queen bed. Right? Yeah, we got a I got a queen. Amazing. Beautiful, perfect magic. Second Hotel. Worst by far. Okay, we got one king sized bed. So they got the king size bed. I got the futon. It was so used yet. So it had that plastic wrap on the outside. I didn't want to take it off, man. Oh, super stiff. It was like I was sleeping on the floor.

David

And the first night was when we had a ghost in our room with this. Was it? That was the first night? Yeah.

Leila

Oh, hold on.

David

Let me because because on the second day it was we were talking about it. Because no me and your mom saw like shadows in the room. There was nothing casting that was in. He's gonna see whichever night it was. Yes,

Leila

overnight. It was spent two nights in that room.

David

Yeah, yeah, it was the one but we didn't say anything to you because we didn't want to get

Leila

the same things too. So all three of us saw stuff was weird until Y'all said something though, right? We all figured in the hallway. And I was like, oh, okay, we saw

David

shadows. And but yeah, we the hotel rooms were fine. They were

Leila

shout out to Mama. Mama. Yeah. Oh.

David

So Mama.

Leila

I know. In one of the hotels who stayed in the one with a ghost. They had a TV and it wasn't hooked up to the normal channels like a hotel usually is. And it had like a little guide.

David

It was hooked up to that but we didn't use it for that. Go ahead and

Leila

they had Netflix they had Disney plus and someone had logged into Netflix and not logged out. So we took this as a little bit of an opportunity and watch them Alexa and Katie. We watched

David

this it's very half of Alexa and Katie. very wholesome, family friendly G rated show. Yeah. And it's it's got a couple of good

Leila

there's no like yelling, right so

David

we we took advantage of somebody not logging out of their Netflix on the hotel. And now sorry, Mama. Their algorithm is gonna be like mad. Mama really likes Alexa in case she was binge watch reason

Leila

I'm calling it moment is because it was spelled mo M Ma. Instead

David

of Ma Ma Yeah. Which is how you spell mama. Yeah,

Leila

but I yeah, I know. It's a spelling um, we

David

had a whole Hold on, for like 20 minutes. Mama Mama. But yes, shout out. Shout out to mama. And thanks for letting us let us leech off of that for a night if it's a better view. A better view. Oh, we have bed review. Back to it. So

Leila

the second night. Terrible. I had sleep on the pullout bed. My back hurt the entire day. And then I slipped and fell and cracked my knee open.

David

Oh, yeah, Nashville. Last.

Leila

Okay. So I was carrying out some takeout. It was so good from the sushi Steakhouse. It was amazing. And I had like a little half of a burger. I had some edamame A, and I had like a pot. What is it called potstickers potsticker. And it was in this little box. It was made of paper. And I was just carrying it being super careful just not to drop it. Because you know, it's made of paper. I don't want it to like break or anything. And I do one of those little steps because it had one

of those little curb things that your pull up your car too. So I stepped off of the actual curb and stepped onto the little car curb bump thing above. That's what's called. And I missed I overestimated and I fell.

David

and I were ahead of her she's behind this and all we hear is Yeah.

Leila

Can you hear you the box hit the ground? No. Like

David

my mommy

Leila

five of the 12 at a mommy's fell out. I'm so mad about it. Oh, I don't care that my belly up. Oh my god for that edamame. That was I didn't pick it off the ground. By the way.

David

It was really no now we left it. It was it was really good meal. I think that was that was called the madness. Yeah. And Asheville was two locations. I told the GPS to go to it. And it wanted to send us the other one which was like a 20 minute drive versus a one minute drive. I was like wait a minute. So yeah, that's most of the eventful stuff. We did a lot of a lot of walking around Boston fudge, you know, as you do when you're in a tourist trap. The Flood was really good. We bought

Yeah, we just we just had a good old good old time. The hotels were great. No, well, okay, we had twin beds. Maybe yours weren't great. A twin beds. So two adults double sleeping in a double? Yeah. No, it's just there was no room.

Leila

I had fun.

David

She had her own her own over there. Dang it. But it was okay. We were so tired from walking around that we just dealt with it. Yeah, no big deal. I

Leila

was gonna go stream. So yeah, we

David

we appreciate everybody. You know, stay in subscribed and coming back. And we're gonna make boring content like this, right? It's not we're catching up content. Yeah. But we'll be back to the regular regular fact episodes.

Leila

Hopefully you enjoyed this one. Right? It wasn't factual. We had a

David

couple of facts in there about the pillory.

Leila

We need to say a fact to make it like a we

David

did we talked about this to lag tights we talked about, oh, I

Leila

was also gonna say vertical and horizontal. A lot of people think of it as horizontal as horizon. I hate it.

David

Okay, so here's, you wanted to hear you want to hear how I do it. Are you gonna explain how I do

Leila

it first. Okay. I do word association a lot. So I took the word Herat horizontal. And I took the H at the beginning and was like, okay, so you got the two on the side and the one in the middle. So it has little line in the middle. That's a horizontal line. And V in vertical both go upward. Even though they're diagonal. They still go up and down.

David

It's V is pointing down. Yeah, a V is like a down arrow. So that's how I always remember it. Oh, I don't like that. You don't like that?

Leila

No. I get my way.

David

Okay it's just the way I've always thought of it. No, that's fine. That's that's a perfectly perfectly acceptable way to do it. Yeah. So there you go. There's some some easy ways to remember stuff. Also, if you lived in the 90s there was these all these Mountain Dew commercials and the whole like Song thing was getting vertical with dew as like people like going up like skateboard ramps like straight up in the air, you know? So up and down. You know, they always get vertical do that

was a whole campaign. I'm not a big fan of mountain. I don't like Mountain Dew. I especially don't like Baja Blast. It's just not good. All right.

Leila

Sips bah blah.

David

We went to Taco Bell tonight. We were in the mood. But this is a value for value podcast. We put this content, you know good or bad out there for free. We tried to have a good time doing it. We hope you get some value from it. We got some donations. or support or whatever you want to call it. And we are going to read the notes that came along with them. Yeah.

Leila

1776 from just listening, Freedom boost freedom booth.

David

These are boosts they come from modern podcast apps. They're tiny little bits of Bitcoin. It's really neat system.

Leila

And he says Happy Birthday,

David

or she we don't know. Is he or she said Happy birthday with a bunch of cool emojis like party emojis. We appreciate that, because both of our birthdays have been recent.

Leila

Yeah, we are high five. Yeah, yeah. Hope you could hear that. That was

David

from Episode 181 Common items. And then 888 from Kevin Halsey, from Episode 182. We'll be back here super short episode. Chaotic fun and laughs for the past few months, thoroughly enjoying listening back to back episodes, especially Andrew Stevens, though, they're all great. Even if you're just checking in for a few minutes. Yeah, like the will be back episode was only a few months. We definitely appreciate that. Kevin Halsey when we love when people go back and listen

to previous episodes. Yeah, that is something I'm going to ask of our listeners. If we had every listener, go back and find a random funny clip, just go pick a random episode from our back catalogue at Fun Fact friday.com/episodes.html. Or you can just click the episodes button, and just pick one of our random past episodes. And just find us a funny clip, you don't have to clip it and send it to us, you can just tell us the timecode and the episode number I want to have, we're coming up

on episode 200. And I want to have like almost like a clip show. I think it'd be fun to you know, have our listeners favorite moments. If you remember a favorite moment, we can maybe help you look for that particular moment. I might even come up I'm gonna try and come up with a transcript reader. So we can like if you remember what we were talking about, we might be able to search it. So we'll, we'll try and get something running on that. But if you if you can think of a funny clip,

get that to us. We definitely appreciate the Satoshis and support, those are getting more and more valuable. We definitely appreciate that.

Leila

So we'll get those in the chapters. And drab, if you ever want to week off, let me know I've built a chapter creator, I wanted to try out. But I don't want to take away the joy of creating chapters from you. If you enjoy that, so let me know if you want me to do it. Or if you'll let me do it one week. And then we've got $5 from

Leila

David
