Starting in quarter midgets as a kid -where he established himself as one of the best- John's next foray in motorsports was straight into shifters, briefly in 80cc, and then 125cc. While he rubbed elbows with some of the best in the early shifter days and was one of the fastest of the time, he took time off to focus on his career before coming back in 2010 to race one race and one race only every year: the SKUSA Supernationals.
