Alex Connor is a graduate student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute working towards his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering. His current research focuses on the genetic design, recombinant production, and characterization of silk-inspired proteins produced in a variety of microorganisms. He also has a passion for learning about nutritional biochemistry and human physiology.

Alex talks about what his typical day is like, his pillars of focus in life, his silk protein research, his experience with the carnivore diet, and much more!
