Hello everyone, Welcome to this edition of the Fuel for the Soul with John gift of podcast. When I want to talk to you today about taking action towards your desires, I want to start with this scripture with you, and I want to explain this to you because a lot of people have this misunderstanding with regard to desires and the worse I want to talk to you from is Probabs thirteen, verse four, and this is what it says. I'm going to paraphrase from two different translations. It says
lazy people want much but get little. This is from the NALTY version. Okay, but those who work hard will prosper. This is what the NALTY version says. When you look at the NIV version, it says a sluggard's appetite is never filled, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. I want you to just understand something here, right. You may have desires from the Lord, and a lot of people are sitting there and just praying and hoping those
desires will come to parts in their life. Okay, there are certain things that God has spoken over your life. There are certain things that God has shown you that you know are beyond the situation that you're in right now. That may be something that's far off, like simple example, right, it cannot practically happen right now. When you think about something that God has shown you that you know, you're
going to have an international ministry. When God showed me that it's going to be an international ministry, I was still studying. I was not in a position to practically have a ministry. To start the ministry, I was pretty much young, and I was under my parent's care, and I had a lot of restrictions as a child. So even though I had that desire or that thing, there was always an element of the timing to it. Okay.
But the truth of the matter is, when God gives the desire, you can't just sleep through and expect the desire to come to pass. You cannot just do nothing about it and expect to see something coming to fusion in your life. Okay. The Bible is very clear that, you know, if you're just lazy, if you're just being a sluggard, if you're a slacker. Another translation uses the word slacker. You know, if you're just being slack and you're just having all these desires, it has nothing, you know.
The New King James version says the soul of a lazy man desires but has nothing. Right. You can have the desire, but if you're not taking steps towards it, if you're not going after the things that God is placed within you, you're not going to see the result. You need to move towards the promised land. The desires act, as you know, like guiding posts for you to move
in that direction. But if you're just simply sitting and expecting that you would be able to go and walk in that promised land while you're simply sleeping in the place that you're in. You can't do that. You get what I'm saying. You need to take steps that are needed to be taken by you in that particular season of your life. Right, If I'm just saying I need
to start, I have an international ministry. And when God led me and asked me to start the international ministry, and when I just sat at home and if I didn't take any step, I wouldn't be where I am today. Right, I need to take the steps that I can. I can't take an international step on day one, but I can start with the first step. You get what I'm saying. You know, that's what I'm trying to tell you. You know you need to work towards it in the way that you can at that season and the way God
leads you in that moment. Just for example, there was this particular season or this particular thing where I had to pray and ask the Lord for a particular visa process. And for the whole of last year, just being honest with you, just being honest with you, I kept praying, you know, God, give me the right opportunity, the right move, and the right way so that I can you know, get into this, get get this visa you know available for me, and it will be really helpful and all
of these things. And to be honest, I prayed of last year, but the desire was there, but there was no action. There were people saying, it's not going to happen. You don't have you know, the right, I mean, you have the odds against you. It's not gonna happen. It's not going to work hard. And I want to just let you and I know this and that you know, when twenty twenty five started off, one of the things the law told me is start working on the things
that you never worked on last year. And I just took the step of faith and to be honest, like God has been so good. God has been so faithful that you know, it actually got done. You know what I want you to understand today I'm just recording this. I just got it done in a matter of just two months since this year, in less than two months since this year began. Okay, what I want you to understand is there was a lot of work involved. There were people saying, you know, you're wasting a lot of
time and money in this process. It's not going to happen, and all of these things. But the truth of the matter is my desire in this direction that the Lord was leading me was there even last year, but then I didn't see it come to fusion because I didn't
take any step. But the minute I had the desire and I took this step towards it, and you know, ended up being lazing around or just hoping and desiring it rather started working towards it, against the odds, against the opposition, against all the discouraging voices, against the fact that, you know what, I'm spending a lot of money, time, and all of these things into it. I really worked
really hard in this process. But now I see, as the Bible says, but the desires of the legend are fully satisfied in the nality version, in the Navy version. And right now I'm like so amazed to see how God made this happen. You know what I'm saying. I'm not saying it's me alone, it is the Lord. It's me partnering with the Lord, and it's the Lord's hand and there's no doubt about it. But the desire, if you're not taking steps towards that desire in the way
that you're supposed to take. You will not see the result. But today my challenge to you is that you know what every desire that God placed in you, every dream he placed in the visions he has shown you. Don't just put it off, you know, thinking like it it will anyway happen, even if it happens after fifty years. No, if there's something that you can do today that you're supposed to do, do it. You know, you do what you're supposed to do today, Do what the Lord is
leading you to do. It can be something small, but God knows how to use that thing to be a greater blessing to multitudes. Ammen, God bless you.
