Episode description

Fixing regulatory fees is an urgent issue - but only part of the problem, according to guests on the latest FTAdviser Podcast.

The entire system of financial regulation in the UK is "broken" and needs to be fixed with a wholesale, root-and-branch review of the retail financial market and the advisers who serve consumers in this space.

Joining Simoney Kyriakou, editor of Financial Adviser, to discuss the issues on this podcast are Gemma Harle, managing director of Quilter Financial Planning, Rob Sinclair, chief executive of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries; Tim Fassam, director of government relations and policy at Pimfa; and Keith Richards, chief executive of the Personal Finance Society.

The FTAdviser Podcast is the weekly podcast for financial advisers, brought to you by FTAdviser.com. Each week, FTAdviser is joined by guests from the industry to discuss the week in news and pressing industry issues.
