“From the Hill” is actually what my last name, Vanden Heuvel, means in the Dutch language. Digging into our stories is hard work -- it’s like climbing up a hill. The journey is hard. Sometimes our feet get tired, or our bodies become winded, but once you get to the top of the hill, it becomes breathtakingly clear just how far you’ve come and what you can now see.
