Fresh from his holidays, Simmo fills us in on how passes the time, his sons obsession with melon and his joy of golf. We are 5-strong this episode with the overdue return of Pete as well as Wyatt, Ben and Chris. School memories, the price of cheese and plenty more waffle to be had.
Not even we would have thought we would still be doing this years after putting into action a suggesting in an online gaming chat group but here we are. As usual, there is a sprinkle of movie & TV chat, plenty of nonsense and a few naughty words whilst Simmo shares his sports day woes, Wyatt buys an uncomfortably tight football top, we learn about Threads and we even have to take a halftime break just to cool down. Oh, and Chris leads the hosting duties, almost.
Well, you know those times when you have no idea about something going into it but it turns out to be great?! Me neither but that's pretty much this episode. Simmo was vacant, so the remaining three recorded an episode and then Wyatt forgot to upload it. And he has also drawn a blank when it comes to what we talked about. So, best of luck and enjoy. With nothing more than 24-hours preperation we discuss the stuggles of the London Marathon, Befreinding doves, cheap beef jerky, CGI woes, Jerry Springer and maybe a little bit about things we have watched.
So there's a good chance we didn't prepare for this one, no notes, nothing to talk about, but still we managed to squeeze in what we've watched, retro alcopops, top 5's, painting Chris' fence and what Simmo gets up to when he isn't recording a podcast...

My word, it’s been a while since I have had to write one of these. Like all bad smells, we’ve never really gone away. The four of us are back, older, greyer and wider but ready to do this all again just like Tom Cruise in Maverick (which we may mention a few times). We chat about what we’ve been up to, people no longer with us, an angst-ridden cinema trip, an indecent proposal in a late night bar and more.
So we were allowed to meet in the same space, spend some time together, sink some beers and catch-up. If someone (me) hadn't have lost the memory card, then this would have been uploaded a few weeks back and I would be able to tell you what we talked about. But, no doubt its the usual nonsense.........
<p>so, we continue the lack of face to face time with connection over the web. Alas we (by wy, we mean Wyatt) could not hold a decent connection, so ap9ologies in advance for the ad breaks and less than great audio. But, however, we do discuss COVID jabs, lockdown life for a year, event tents (shelters) and what we have been watching which includes Godzilla Vs Kong (Spoilers), Falcon & The Winter Soldier, Invincible and Married At first Sight Australia...</p>

<p>Lockdown has us. Its been 6-months since we last got together and we've let the podcast slide a little. Probably because there hasnt been all that much to talk about. <p>So, in 2015, during an online gaming session a friend said we should start a podcast. We thought, why not?! So we assembled in the flat, drank some beers, plugged a gaming headset into a laptop and hit record. This is how beer club started (at the time we called it Tossing The Salad). <p>Lockdown continues as we scrape the barrell of conversation, we are running out of shows to watch, theres barely any movies to talk about so Simmo takes the lead as he's been watching more than the rest of us put together. As is the norm, everything leads back to lockdown life in general, how we're all doing, the lengths people will go for some fast food and Chris' new found hatred for drains. </p>
<p>So we managed to organise not only a podcast over the internet, but we also figured out how to stream live pictures and sound to the YouTube. As we journey deeper into lockdown, we discuss how we are finding it, what we like, what we dont like and also what we have been watching (as there isnt much else to do). <p>Deep into the 3rd week of lockdown, we've realised we really don't have much else better to do than record a podcast. Even just to pretend for an hour that we aren't confined to our homes and that we can still hang out with a few beers. We talk about how we are doing during the lockdown, haircuts, a few things we've been watching and of course, the show that has everyone talking (and spawned endless memes) Tiger King. <p>Through the wonders of mondern technology, we manage to keep the podcast alive. We may be locked in at home but the pod lives strong. We catch up on what we've been watching and whats going on in the world right now. Hopefully we can distract from the doom and gloom for an hour or so.........</p>

<p>Whilst we delay the 50th episode (consider this 49.5) we check out some of the highlights (& lowlights) of the 2020 movie calendar. We also managed to not only all go to the cinema together (1917) but we also all managed to watch an entire netflix series (The Witcher). As well as the usual beer chat, theres Evel Kneivel, Specsavers and falling into a Bond Theme rabbit hole. Strap in, kids. Its a long one.</p>
<p>Just before we hit 2020, theres just enough time to squeeze in one more bonus episode. We chat about our movie & TV highlights from the year that was 2019. <p>We creep up to Christmas 2019 with a beer or two and chat nightmares, Star Wars, Christmas songs, Watchmen and Veet. The fatal man-flu bug has hit us and taken a victim, so we are one man down but we more than make up for it by nearly hitting the 2-hour mark, whether we had 2-hours worth of content to talk about, well, we will leave that up to you to decide.
