No wonder St. Charles Borromeo was described by a biographer as “an austere, dedicated, humorless and uncompromising personality.” But with so much uncertainty in our world today, he could be the perfect saint. And the readings remind us that the chaos of our lives becomes ordered when our faith is the priority.
