In this episode David seemed obsessed with engaging Dr Dave in a DTR conversation (Define the Relationship). A bit more emotionally fragile than normal, our favorite comedian noted Dr Dave had posted on social media his plans to teach an upcoming grad class at Bethel University (Indiana) and was a bit miffed that he had to hear of this at the same time as thousands(?) of other Looky-Lou friends. So he pressed in: "Where do I stand with you?" David was hoping for something better than the response Dr Dave gave.
