Dr. Dave experienced Zoom whiplash. David's sleeveless-ness today contrasted with N.T. Wright's attire yesterday. Fittingly (which is what you do when you cut the sleeves off shirts for summer styling in Indiana), though our little podcast might not be smart-sounding like a webinar from Wycliffe Hall at Oxford University, we did make practical sense of what Jesus meant by being "sifted." N.T. Wright – perhaps the world's most influential Bible scholar – probably could have done better. But we concluded it's because he uses pretentious British initials, and that's a price D.D. Rahn is not willing to pay. Plus, he is probably all tightly bound by constrictive sleeves on his shirts.
