Episode description

In this second Godly grit podcast, I share the inspiration for the book "Godly Grit."  One of the most difficult, if not the most difficult, encounters in life is aging. If we want to learn about grit, we should look at the elderly. In the Old Testament, we are encouraged to honor our father and mother. In the original language, this meant to pause quietly and lean in to hear, for understanding. We have a lot to learn from our mothers, fathers, and elders, so let's pause and lean in with our eyes and ears open. The elderly can teach us a lot about priorities, what is worth fussing about, and what matters in the long run.  If you would like to be vital and full of purpose as you age, then take time to consider the role of grit in your life. Are you resilient? What would it take for you to be more resilient?
