Chloe, I need those chromatics. Now, who is this? I'm Jack Bauer. Who the hell are you? I'm I meda duty, Chloe, find out all you can about it. I made a duty. Does anyone there know I made a duty? I met a duty. Wealthy Saudi financier disappeared into Afghanistan in the late nineties. Really no, Jack, it's a joke. Name. You're being set up, dammit. Four Finger Discount Dude, Allowen podcast takes place over the course of about one hour. Do you

think miss Davis wonderful for anesscount? We say that, we always like to say that, And four hours later, yes, do the voice? Do the voice? What am I trying to do? The twenty four voice? Pul Alice Nika. Oh, it's a main and that there are certain means that just passed me. Right, But all right, Pops, that's for another podcast that we were recording a little bit. Leader. Oh my god, it never stops here at the four Finger Discount and he's speaking of the

hill. He's speaking of the hill. I am speaking of that. Oh my goodness. Wow, he's just he's throwing in the the segways and the links and everything. They go mister Brendan Dan know everybody, there's just no stopping him. But twenty four minutes. Honestly, this is one of my favorite episodes of that Simpson's post Golden Ear. I love this episode, really, I love it. I think it's think as a spoof of twenty four. It's the spot on as a spoof of twenty four. You are one

hundred percent right. I mean this was giving me a bit of an acid flashback to Oh gosh, because when the two thousands, I think it was two thousand, maybe two thousand and one. It seems very contemporaneous with sad to say, the whole post nine to eleven world, and so I don't know if it came out everything's a terrorist attack very much so. Yeah, So whether it was prior to that one to twenty fourteen, okay, but I went for six seasons the first one, so maybe there was like was

there a spinoff or something? There was that just recently? Yeah, the show probably had November six, two thousand and one. Oh, but they would have been, but it would have been making it pre September eleven, they would have, yes, Oh but yes, so span for two hundred and four episodes over nine seasons. Wow. The series finale broadcast on July fourteenth, twenty fourteen. So that's not because they brought it back and then they made like new seasons, didn't they? They did? And was there

a spinoff? Just because? Is that including twenty four colin Legacy? Twenty four Redemption was a television film the air between season six and seven that star Keifer as Jack. Yes, okay, because there was, yeah, the reboot not long ago that I don't think had Keith and the lead. I think it had an actor named Corey Hawkins who I think it was in Straight out of Compton, and a couple of other things. There's twenty four Live Another Day that's twelve episodes. Okay, is that did? Maybe that's it?

That is a twenty four then series event that aired in twenty fourteen, and it has Keifer in it. Okay, then look up twenty four Legacy while you've got Google happening. Twenty four Legacy Okay, it was called Legacy twenty four Legacy, Yeah, consisting of twelve episodes. The show falls of Life of War here at X the United States Army Ranger Sergeant Eric Carter,

Corey Hawkins. Yeah, so that ed when did that one air? That's not long ago, that's like maybe twenty nineteen or twenty twenty, twenty seventeen. Time has just lost all meaning. But twenty four big hit, big, big hit, big, big hit. Yeah, for a number of reasons. Yeah, the timing was right, as we as we pointed out, the world was ready for an all American hero just to surveillance and shit. Yeah, and yes, the world was getting more and more surveiled all

the time. And as I think we've said when we've talked about either twenty four or Keeper Sutherland on previous episodes of not just this podcast, but maybe other podcasts in the Forefinger discan work was a big deal to get Keeper Sutherland as the lead via TV show. Yeah, what was he doing pre twenty four? He done anything since Lost Boys? Well, that's the thing.

I was thinking about this on the way over. I think when we think of Keifer Sudden, we think of twenty four, but prior to that, it was really like the one two punch of stand By Me where he's a dreadful villain and Lost Boys, Yeah, sexy, charismatic vampire. I think I said I rewatched Lost Boys not long ago, and you just look at keithra and that was like you just had it from the very beginning. It just incredibly sexy, incredibly charismatic. Dope wardrobe in in the Lost Boys just

looks fantastic. It's no wonder they made in the Designeted Survivor very much. Oh yeah, he's got all these other shows like Designated Survival that I think has gone for a while, has been finished now, yeah, but it went for a few seasons, so they it got canceled and they brought it back for another season and it's like I watched it and it's not the same. Okay, yeah, it doesn't feel right. And they have their show rabbit Hole. I think it was Cold, which got canceled up the one

season as well. Okay then and was there also I think there was like a reboot of The Fugitive that I think he was in. No shit, that'd be cool, yeah, but I think it was on Quibi. I feel like he's remember I do remember Quibi. I feel like he's going to be the guy though, Keifer who's going to carry the two watch after Liam Neeson hangs up his boots. He'll be like the new Taken, you know

what. I mean, so he'll be like, you know, when you think of see Leem Neeson on the poster, now you know exactly what movie you're going to be getting. Keith is going to be the new Lison. But we're gonna call him Lisa now, as opposed to let's just let's save time, let's call him Lisen. Was I was listening to another podcast the other day. Sorry, I was cheating listening to another podcast instead of just listening to us. Well, do you not call him Lison? Nickols?

That's like I think we call him Lison. I've never called him Lisen. It's like it's too hard to say lee Na, to say Lisen. It's really difficult. I get where you're going. I'm this on the podcast that they were talking about about Roadhouse and about Patrick Swaysey and how he was taken too soon. It's like, yeah, if Patrick Swaysey was still with us, he'd be making Taken movies. He'd be making Liam Neeson style movies because he'd be the villain. You think, I think it could be a good

villain, Patrick Swayzey point break true. But he wasn't even that villainous. And maybe he was Robin Max and occasionally killing people. But hero just wanted to serve Yeah, who amongst us? I say, but twenty four minutes minutes? As I said, I loved this episode, one of my favorites post Golden Here. I've always loved this, I just I was never I never really watched twenty four when it was on. I've rewatched it since, or watched it for the first time since. Adis thought having Jack and Chloe

in the episode really gave it that authenticity as well. Yeah, you get the thing the key for Subtler's dam for just about anything, so he'd be showing it, but also having Yeah, clear it. Now I'm going to butcher the pronunciation of the actress's name. It's Marylyn, isn't it Mary Lynn Raskeab. I'm not sure it's Mary then, but yeah, Chloe is the character. That's Chloe. Yeah, Chloe is a bit of an interesting character, and I liked how they beat up her role over time as well.

You know, she was just on the on the keyboard or just on the monitors, and yeah, eventually she became a bit more of a badass or a bit more of a hero. To the best of my recollection, I've only watched the first two seasons so far. We've only started watching it best six months ago. Yeah, but they're gonna have ed Ga styles in this in the episode as well, Who's going to Die? And they pulled the plug on that, which one said gestals, I'm not sure he's a rotund

character on twenty four. It's like a bit of a goofball. I'm not too sure. I might be mixing up twenty four and Alias. Did you watch Alias No with Jennifer Ganna? I didn't. I loved Alias really yeah. I mean, and she played a different character every episode, not every episode, but she I think one of the gimmicks was she's always in disguises. It's like she always looks like Jennifer Ganah, but you know withther like a red wig on or and a lot of a I think a lot of

her disguisers were Launcher. Wasn't she dating Athletic at that time? Well, they co starred in dar Devil as I say, it's Dead Devon. Alias were about the same time, right, I think, so yeah, yeah, so yeah, she was in Aliens and I think Alias helped her get the role as Elector in Daredevil because she was doing a lot of action stuff,

and she's seemed very very convincing to it. She was a really good, not a cruise level screen runner, but she was pretty good at running for the best time I rec and she also looked like I don't want to sound dreadfully sexist when I say this, but you know, you see some female like is on screen when they're throwing a punch, just like, that's not going to hurt anybody. There are certain some men you see do that and yet that's not gonna who But yeah, there were a few. Angelina

and Jolly is certainly one of them. And yeah, Jennifer Garner was one. Was like, yeah, you're really throwing your whole body into that, so loose you lose the same for me, yes, yeah, yeah. So we just watched Payback and she's in that and slapping around Payack. Didn't like pay Back. No, I watched it, going, this is not what I thought this movie was going to be. I felt like I didn't really know what it wanted to be either. But mel Gibson was not.

He's trying to. It felt almost like a Tarantino script where he kept saying, I don't want one hundred and thirty or what I just want seventy and like, I think you think this is a funny bit, but Mel Gibbs is not nailing this role. There's a whole well, there's a whole lot to go into it. We could talk about payback for a while. We do it as movie guys. We can do it as a movie guys. But yeah, yeah, well the point of it is, yeah, he should be asking for more money, but no, he's like he's a principal

Quigers. Like, no, my cut of the my cut of the score was this much. Just give me this much. That's yeah, I'm a crook with principles. But yeah, but Lucy losing that that was a big breakout role for her as far as Okay, yeah that was pre that was prelimen Bill al mcbill, I think Charlie Angels and yes, yeah, but how we get to Jennifer Garner twenty four Alias? Confusing Alias with twenty four

that's yeah, but those shows both have a similar in some ways. If you're going to draw analogies with big screen franchises, Alias is a lot more like Mission Impossible. In fact, JJ open sort of took over the Mission Impossible franchise and helped steer it in the direction that it became post mission impossible.

Three and twenty four is a lot more like the Born franchise, to the best of my understanding or the way I view it anyway, And it feels like all of these things sort of influenced the way action movies were made going forwards, or action movies and TV were done going forward, so they all sort of bleed into one a bit. But yeah, twenty four definitely had that. It was so distinctive with that, you know, the ticking clock and the way over twenty like that is such a cool novelty, wasn't

it. It really was. Anyone who watches movies, Well, we talk about it when we've done our south Park podcast, how Parker and Stone are really good at taking movie tropes and either making fun of them or just exploiting them for the goodness that they are. And they talk about the ticking clock all the time. Twenty fours all ticking clock. It's great. I mean, you normally just have it in the third acts like oh this Bard's gonna go up. I think they handled it so well since this episode as well.

Yeah, having a ticking clock all the way through it was like, I'm kind of on the edge of my seate even though adrenaline, Yeah, yeah, it's great and this episode, yeah, you're right. It did a really good job of celebrating it and taking the piss. I was never like scared or had any adrenaline watching this, but I just thought they handled the novelty very very well. Even during the commercial breaks, how they go back to the time, it's like, oh yeah, three minutes are transpired.

Absolutely, but you could tell that they were big fans of twenty four. They made an effort, which is what we've been hoping for, and after four and season eighteen, this is definitely one of the best episodes of season eighteen. He got to admit that at least I would think, so, yeah, yeah, we you and I are on the same page. We're not exactly on the same page. I mean, I don't think I liked it as much as you, but that doesn't mean I disliked it.

See, I'm big on the format betning episode, So I feel like this for me is almost like this ear is because Trilogy of Era is like season twelve ish, This is almost like, you know, six seasons later, this is this ear is trilogy of error. That makes a lot with the lingo and yeah, yeah, so that that's very similar vibes I was getting watching this one, but yeah, I just it won the two thousand and

eight Award for Best Writing in an Animated Television Production. And yeah, apparently originally add as a one hour finale, so the next week's episode is the season finale. You can't always say what you want and they add them together. Okay, I think they did it like last season as well. I know why they did that, but anyway, you know, the guys at Fox, they're running their own rule. But I thought it was a very

funny script, you know, very well written. Just yeah, I just as I said to him, I not the transitions, the split screens, a countdown, that just all spot on. Absolutely my favorite. What were you favorite moments from the episode? Look always happy to see and hear he for Subdlan, great voice, that man, not unlike his dad Donald, And I just like that he's down for he seems like well, he plays

very serious characters. Jack Barron particular doesn't seem like the barrel of monkeys, but Keeper Subtland always seems willing to, if not take the piss out of himself then certainly be involved in the joke and lightly poke fun at himself and particularly the seriousness of his characters. Yees. So I always appreciate that.

So I was always glad to I was glad that he rocked up here bringing the old classic trope as well of the prank core where it felt I haven't done it for a while, I don't think, and it felt a bit sort of old news by the time they kept doing it. By season ten here it felt fresh, glad and done it for a while. It really did. And yeah, I mean it speaks volumes about Keeper Sutland's not commitment as an actor, but his style as well, that he plays the response

as Jack Bow. Yes, I thought that was great fun. I like that a lot. Martin felt a good twist. I thought Been the molen't Been the Mole great him being sort of full of regret at the end and giving himself the tragic ending. And it looks like, oh, this went a bit dark, but no, he's just giving himself the self inflicted weggie. I really appreciated he was whipping whipping skipping and seeing that song about Skipper, whoever it was, give you a little whatever it is skipped to the

lou my dad skipped Alu, my darling. So when he's first doing he's skipping happily right. The second time he does it in a more sad version. No, it was more menacing. When he's like, he's almost like whistling, and so it's more like menacing there. And at the end he's just depressing and sad. He's the same song in three different ways. It's how he's emoting himself. It's a character arc, yes, and also just gotta laugh at it. Jimbo's mum who's shown off for him that the doctor

said the air would be good for them. I think you would have appreciated that particular part given your history with seeing friend's mother's naked. We were seeing implants and Bootlen. I think Nikola has implants. What do you know that I don't know, but yeah, you're right, Yeah, seeing friends mom's naked, that is a novelty of mine. It's a fetish. I really enjoyed the drawing, the schematics of Jimbo's house. Where's the rollercoaster room,

where's the shar take? I liked Marge sending Helen love George to the hospital. Oh, I just I always like I when Marge gets the upper hand on people. And yeah, as silly as it was, I didn't mind the Homo Millhouse little side plot of them in the Dumbstep. It was just this is our life now where dumpster fog, it's just whatever at a nice little third moment where he parallel parks the dumb stuff. That was good. Next question, you there eating the beast? All right, trivia time,

mister Davis. My first question for you is they zoom in or they enhance on a desk that says skinner stinks right in the sixth grade? What camera was it? Oh? Man, I had mys on skin the stinks. I was looking at the camera, camera eight, camera eight. Okay, then we see if I can stump you. But has a House of Blues matchbook among his possessions, but which location and dame? My next question is what is Dolph's real name? I knew his last name was Starban. What's

his first name? Oh? Gosh, no, you there was a lot of This is a very information dense, very free very freeze framing episode. Free frame the ship out of this episode. I did not you never do I just let it roll. No do it that's why they pay you the big bills big, That's why I pay you the books. His name is Dolphin. Dolphin, Oh no wonder he goes with Dolph, I goord to the newspaper that Millhouse is reading what is less popular? Cornd I free frame

the ship added this one you what there is no stopping you? Yeah, Mayor's breath is still bad or something that's still the problem. And then they mentioned the bake sale in the on the front page of the paper as wow, okay, I have another question for you. Millhouse wants to buy what what is at the quickie mart? And Skinner says denied pass. We are not recording this episode on video, but you should know that we both did

the Bobby Hill jazz hands just so you know. By the way, guys, we're going to be doing another classic review probably next week, and it's going to be Stark Raving Dad. We thought, what what should we do? That's that's the one everyone seems to talk about the most, not the most, but they wish it was available, right, So we're gonna be

Stark Graving Dad. We're gonna be reviewing that. But the big news is we're gonna start filming the podcast legitimately, So we're gonna camera set up as of next as of the Stark Raving Dad Review, whenever that comes out, that's gonna be the first one that we filmed. So stay tuned. Yes, indeed, I've got to have a shower. You're gonna be able to see the stink lines and internet. Yeah, follow us on it's we're gonna putting clips on Instagram and TikTok and all that. Maybe even your kids do.

Yeah, YouTube as well. Yeah, of course, yes, so make sure you follow us on the social medias and you can finally see guy doing you know what are you talking about? And me going past? Were worth every penny? Exactly right? Yes, you just asked me a question. Should I ask your question? Yeah? Okay? Then out of Millhouse, Martin and database? Which one is the Dingus database? Correct? It was Dork Dink and Dingus Is that right? That is right? Freeze frame

the ship out of this one. I told you I did freeze frame that bit, and that was the very start of the episode, and I have freeze frame and no more forget it. So what were the names of Martin's an It's not the ones that's the one that left with the bullies. It was as a moth to Zarathustra. Well done, Yes, and Phobos was a traitor. Yes, indeed, I had one more trivia question for you. But I initially thought this might stump down though, and then they revealed

the answer themselves. Was it? Well, what did Martin hit Bart with? Well? It was a tuba, right, it was a French horn. French My first time getting hit by a French horn. It's like, oh, because I just I didn't freeze frame that part. I was like, it look like it. It was indeed a friend good instrument, the French horn. Yeah, he's your favorite French horness. Well, I'm a

fan of the instrument itself, not those who play it. That reminded me of when we're doing the movie Guys, and you said you like something about that there might even nineties film. Mitch is like elaborate and You're like, I don't want to. I could if I wanted you. I think you went with the vibe I did, and I was having a senior moment. It's like, I don't know if you've I could see it was coming and I'm like, it's like a car crash. I can see it there.

It's lingering there, but it can't get out. And then Mitch went up on some tangent. I'm like, Mitch, I'm gonna have stop there because I remembered what I wanted to say. And Mitch was like, no, speaking of things trapped, this is actually taking a turn for the worst. Lot. This was a horrifying story. It happened to me yesterday, right, and I felt like I had to say on the podcast for all parents out there have young kids, it's very, very important, right, you

can't let your kids be out of your sight for a second. Yesterday, I'm watching Holly every Tuesday, daddy daycare day. She doesn't have daycare. Nicola works. I watch Holly right, it's just no podcast day. It's just Tuesday is podcast free day. And Holly was in the hallway playing with the jet I go to. I said, I'm going to the toilets go quick, whiz right, doors open, everything doing a whizz and then I don't know. I was walking the button washing my hands and he holy,

say Dad. I was like in a minute, Holly, and she's like, Dad, I'm stuck, and I'm like sucking watches the bin. I said, you can't be stuck in the bin because he's too small, and she I was stuck in the bin, and I was like, where I went in the kitchen, She wasn't there, I said, I realized she was out the front right. She'd gone out the front door, and people had put garbage the bags like you to put clothes and stuff in, like garbageags in the letter box. She'd taken a garbage bag out of there,

out of the letter box and encased herself in a garbage bag. And could it get out? She was trapped in a fucking garbage bag, like a giant plastic bag. I was. I couldn't. I could not believe my eyes in this. In the space of thirty seconds, she had taken herself out the front door, grabbed his garbage bag out of the the box they'd put in there, and covered herself with it. If I if she hadn't go out, she could have died. Mate. Seriously, I was so

scared and startled by that moment. It hit me hard. You've got to be careful. Pairs. Do not leave ship lying around, even if you think it's safe like that. That bag was in the letter box like two or three days, I was like, I'll get it out whenever when I'm going to get take some clothes down to the to the salvation bin. And then she went out there, she go that bag and she fucking covered her up. I couldn't believe she's sitting in the driveway completely covered in the garbage

bag and couldn't get out, like trying to push it out. I was. It was so scary. I don't mean to make light of this, but I will. This is why I never had kids, because I like living shit lying around too much. But two points. First of all, looks like you're gonna have invested in adult diapers because you can never go to the toilet again. Yeah, but I was like, she'd never got she's never gone out the front door. It's like, first she'd never go at

the front door by herself. Why she did, I don't know. She's seen these garbage bakers and she's chosen to do this at this particular time. Well, she's a dumpster person, the folk. I just could not believe it. I thought, I'm gonna have to on the podcast because you just you've got to be careful. I had a podcast related thing as well, because my whole life is now just followed for the podcast, but don't really live a life anymore. I just think about what am I going to talk

about with Dander next time. Listeners to the show will realize that the lovely Louise and I tend to spend our evening meeke it out no, but also watching maths watching Married at First sart and is like, can I come to We were way behind on nighty Day because we were just the feature is now show. But there was an incident the other night that felt very classic Simpsons esque in that there's a character who's or there are people on this show who

have entered into this married at First art experiment. He's a guy who's got low self esteem and he can't really sort of find the confidence to really open up and express himself to his quote unquote wife. It's like she's really pretty well and she'd be into me, even though she's been like he's such a great guy, I really like him all this kind of stuff, and it's taken this long for him to go. I finally, you know, I've worked up the courage and the and the bravery to tell that I'm having feelings

for at which one she says yeah, I'm not feeling it. The minute it happened, I sort of looked on Twitter and yeah, ninety percent of the responses were like, you can see he's heartbreaking time and he's not breaking half. It's the rap that Ralph that sound by that it's so good. I think we talked on ear late last going down to South Park, and we just love people in the recording making those. It always as Cartman was the preacher and he's second kids healing, I'll heal you. You are very

very ugly gay. If you haven't checked out going to the South make sure you do the episode that's going to be coming out after this one is released. No, no, as you listening to this in the free feed, we have just released the episode of probably part two to do the Handicap go to Hell. Indeed, Yeah, fantastic episode, very very good, as was twenty four minutes. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about it.

Do we have to name some names? Of course we do. I thought you weren't going to do it, but thought you're going to ignore our fine stonecutters. You kill us seg exactly, no, no, no, alright, so of course we do love our stonecutters. Here at four finger discount, starting with which person, mister Davis, Oh, that would be Katy g KTG watt Oh, kat G Long, Katy G TOWNG Troit. That was a huge song. That's a fucking bang. I haven't heard that for like twenty years. Is it actually good or is it? Yeah? Put your hands up, put your hands up for Detroit. I love this city. It's actually good though, it is good. Take it from me, the man with the best taste in music, the Katie Detroit. Yeah for her one hundred support. Thank you so much. ANDREWS. Zerber the fifty dollars support Aliet j O'Neil from The Simpsons Index Podcast, Zach Pruitt our

So the original air date of twenty four minutes was made twentieth, two thousand and seven, production co j ab F one four, written by am Maxto and Graham and Billy Kimball, and directed by Raymond s. Percy Perci Percy p E s I Percy. Yeah, that's interesting. It feels like Perci. Yeah,

it sounds very Yeah it does indeed. Yes. So the episode kicks off with what can you do a commens Davis, Well, this episode takes place, it's keifer. Yes, there's also tons of keifer previously, I'm twenty four, I mean the Simpsons, perfect way to start this episode. Absolutely, you know, you know from the get go is going to be not your typical Since this episode it made me want to revisit twenty four it

really did, didn't it. Yes, it's always like because I didn't watch the show when it was on, so it's hard for me to say I felt nostalgic, but it kind of difficult. I used to always see the promos and I was like, that looks like a fun show. It looks like an event. Yes, but it was, wasn't it. It was at the first show where everything was done in real time. Not in real time, but you know what I mean, like it was over the course of a day. That was certainly the gimmick. Yeah, I mean I

think that was really the selling points. I don't know if it was the first, there would have been movies ad I think there would have been TV movies or something like that that tried something similar, but not a big budget TV series like this. Yeah, they're very good stuff. But yes, we get the intro from Keifer there previously on we have Skinner introducing the counter Truancy Unit And what were the things on the TV screen did you see as

they're walking there? Well, I take it. No, We've got Willy making out with Miss Hoover on one screen. We've got Nelson giving lago or pants and him pulling his pants and we've got Ralph picking his nose getting hit with the dodgeball. Then we got Lisa Milhouse database and Martin there Lisa the head of the Headhole Monitor Slash I got loves ponies, Slash hates phonies.

And because that's what they did in twenty four when theyre inducing, all the characters had all the little sort of freeze frame bits like that, and she says on the sixth grade security camera as shows three empty desks, there's three kids missing today. I don't recall that many introductory things like that in twenty four, to be honest, maybe in the first episode, maybe it's been a while. It has been a while, yes, but they find skinner

stinks on the desk there enhanced dehands Dehans. That's one thing I always laugh at when you watch these shows. They go, can you enhance it for me? And I'm like, what fuck did you just enhance it in the first place? And what technology using that was pix lettered as fuck when it was zoomed out? How is it there are not pixelated when you zoomed in. It's really great, particularly watching like The First Born Identity where because those

are movies that you can't. You can't watch the original trilogy like back to back because they realized these are all the same movies. Yes, they really were, They really are. But you watched the first one which has made like two thousand and two, and they were on a goo wow yeah, and they're all on these like old ass monitors and things like that. Give me an enhancement of that right now. That's going to take like amountain of CPU power and maybe three days to do. So it is this real time.

It's like, I don't know what I think it is, but I just always love them. Like it's pixelated, so you go zoom in and enhanced. I'm like, how can you zoom it on a pixelaated picture and make it enhanced? It doesn't make any sense to me. But a Seamour Skinner principal slash Mumma's boy then database database, database database, what do you say, database database would say? Database database. Yeah. He learns that the bullies are the three missing students, and we go through all their little

profiles. You see Keernie, he's got he was acquitted of a hurt stone nut. But we helped and then Millhouse Martin Database dork Dingus went out at the power plant, which is also available for weddings, and everyone's fleeing because there's hazardous material somewhere in the in the plant, and they realized that it is moldy yogurt that Homer is left in the fridge. Homer Simpson atm user and diverted father of two and burns I've got He sends him on a business

trip. So basically, is its just him saying get this out of here? Yes, yeah, okay, it's Homer not being sent home from work. It's like, get your disgusting food out of here. And yeah, Homer treating it as a business trip. But then I like this was altos like an amage to Bart the genius with the I am a wiena. But he says, put me on your wiener. I think he used the sauce.

And what's the other of the poopon great poopon mustard? Yes, poopon mustard, and which of course was a way to make a joke samething I'll teach you to make a poopon me. That was a good line, Yes it was. Yeah. Have you ever seen I think a lot of Australian viewers of Wayne's World probably like were like a lot of these gags. But you know there's a bit where they take off the great pupon and I think that Wayne's World won Yes, which part is that I haven't watched it for

a long time before movie. They pull up next to like a limousine or something and I think Wayne Len's pardon me, do you have any greup wupon? Of which I think is like it must have been the TV commercial for Great Bond Mustard back in the States, So I know this is funny. I don't know why, because I mean, there were some references that were in Australia got because everybody that's the university is Robert Patrick as the T one thousand? Is he in Wayne's World one or two? One? Yeah?

Yes? Have you seen this boy in? That's a great that's pretty good, great bit Robert Patrick. He really exploited the hell out of his T one thousand. Good good on him. Get the bag, Yeah, get the bag Captain. I've watched the first like half an out of that movie a lot, well, the first like twenty it's when they do BEHEMI rapsty up to that point because the kids just want to watch the start up to Behem in Rhapsody. It's such a funny movie Wayne's World. I'm rewatching a

while. God, there's so many funny bits. Just I'm not the hugest Mike Meyers fan, but in that movie, he is just so fucking good. My Mom's a really interesting case, isn't he? Because I mean really knocked out of the park with Wayne's World, and he's great Shrek and greatest Shrek. And this is a guy who I don't know, you may not have. I won't say he doesn't have a lot of strings to his bow, because he does seem to like want to do a whole lot of different

characters, but only a few of them hits. But the ones that hit really hit. Yeah, it's interesting. What was that The Love Girl? Man? I'm assuming you get paid to review that one? I did? Indeed, how many stars? I think probably one and a half? Really, Yeah, I never watched it and I was like, this is not gonna be good, gonna be this is like the Austrian Powership, but it's not funny. Yes, that's that's exactly it. Yeah, kind of like

you know, who was that Chris Lily. It's like you had a gimmick and you milked it and then kept grabbing on those poor old dried, saggy teats. Yeah, trying to squeeze either drop out. There is a Facebook ad at the moment for some sort of blanket or something, and I swear to God the woman at start God lover, she looks like Chrys Lily and makeup. I looked at it, I was like, oh, this must be a new Chris Lily series. And I'm like, no, it's just

an ad for some blanket or something. And get to the comments and everyone's like, I fucking thought this was going to be a Crystal series. I'm, thank god the only one. This woman. This is my big break. It literally looks like Chris Lily and drag. It's it's hilarious if if I found if I find it next to my opportun in the comments, you'll laugh your ass off. But yeah, so Bart splayed the own put me on your wiener with the sauce. He's getting away, you know, he's

caught him. He's at the slide away, but Bart two months sober like it wasn't too funny. But he ends up falling over and landing intertention. He gets locked in there. Marge. Meanwhile, I was doing the washing, and as she says, he if someone ate his shorts, they'd get a tummy full of pocket garbage. He finds a knife, a Homer voodoo doll, a house of blues, Anaheim mashboxes you're saying, and the note for the bake sale, which is today at three p m. March unemployed.

I was like, I guess I'm technically unemployed as well. I'm not though, How's How's work has the word work in it for a reason. Well, trust me, you never fucking stopped. My job here is to just keep the house clean as possible. It's just like grandhole day. But you can't relax, man, you cannot. I'm a man who lives by himself when I'm not shacking up with the lovely Louise. And yeah, dishes don't do themselves unless you've got a dish washer, which which I don't have.

But I don't unpack themselves, that's true. But it's just like I was about to say, floors don't vanking themselves unless you got the room. But I've always given up cleaning up during the day because the kids just get home like, oh my beer is looking at it. I've just given up. There's more of that sentence because I used to get I'm so angry when Tuesdays, for example, when it was it was Holy Daddy AKA Day, I'd always try and clean as we go. I would get so frustrated.

I'm like, stop making a mess. Now, I'm just like, you know what, just make a mess and I'll just clean it when you get to it. Because every Tuesday, not to get to my parents, I'm like, I'll just clean up later. And I have just chilled out so much more. Tuesdays are somewhat fun now when she's not putting stuf in the

garage bag. Niase like date night, but tidying in tandem. But Marge has Yeah, so she's found the note for the bake sale, and she now worried because she's like, oh, I want to be involved in this. I'm just going to go twenty seven minutes, the preheat is on. We'll played much and we get the credits of twenty four styles of make graining and whatnot. You may notice we did not get a blackboard gag or a couch gag. Well, it's former banding. It has to feel different from

the get go, and that's what it was yeah. So the following takes place between two thirty four pm and three four pm or am, which everyone is the morning one. It's not that one, as you said, Keith, who's up for just in fun of himself, and then returns the yogurt to the quickie Mart opens the bag. Speaking of funny sounds, I love the sound effect they used here of when he opened the bag. It was like a fart, but not Look imagine if you just opened up a moldy

bag of something. I feel like this is the air escaping like a fart in reverse. Ye Oh, oh my god. If a dead fish and a homeless person had the baby, and the baby puked and the dog ate the puke, this smells like real end of that dog. I wasn't huge on a poohs line here of a dead fish and a homeless person had a baby. Just went on and on my ab whatever. But he says, take whatever yoga you want, just take this yogurt with you. I liked to think this was home as planned for the get go. He's like,

I'm gonna get some free yoga out of this. It was like a scheme. I realized that a lot of yogurts these days are probably ninety percent sugar. But home. It didn't really strike me as a yogurt kind of guy. It'd be more like a yogo guy or an instant pudding guy. Yogos were so fun. Back into the Yogo Gorilla. One of those commercials, I go back to your barry remember those that's right, Yeah, the Claymation gorilla. Yeah, and there was like three ads that actually topped like the

McBain style where they played clips and you put them together. It makes a full movie. Yeah, a scene. Well, that's what the Yoga gorilla commercials were. You put them all back to back to back and it was actually a mini movie. Did not know that. I did not. Yeah, it was like a little too busy eating yoga. It was like mini mini Remember they had yoga. Then they came with little chocolate chips. You could sort of flip them over. Remember those little packets I'm aware of,

like snack packs, but yoga. Yeah, by this stage was probably two old for snack packs. Were never twolf for snack packs. You're actually correct, But the bullies arrive at the Quickie March and I've just gone. It's convenient that Homer had the yoga here, because what were they going to do with the bomb if they couldn't if they if Homer didn't have that yoga, what were they gonna put in the bomb? Well, yeah, that's the thing. Were they were they pretty fucking fine? Were they always hatching this

plan? Or was it kind of the moment inspired by the yoga? Maybe they were just wagging school. Yeah they found that's that's true. Yeah, but Millhouse is watching them, and then they yoga that was Homer's and Skinner tells me my house to bring them in. And there's a letter in your locker. I want you to read. That's why, he says to let Lisa, I don't make it. There's a letter in my lock I want you to read. We've all read it. Have you ever written like a

love letter and someone else found it first or something? How are you with people reading cards that you write to Louise and stuff? Well, I pride myself on my card writing skill. You said, that's in the fridge or something, right, like a little yeah loop prep like student of the Week award. Good for me? So no, I don't have a problem with that, Lisa. Maybe one's a little more private. Lisa wants to know

why do they only take the yoga? Though there was like there was I think it was a quarter in the penny jar or something, take a penny and what else was there? There was the delights, but she said they tell Milhouse to to follow the guys, and they deny him from buying a food. Meanwhile he's reading the paper just to try and spy on them down upside down. Yep. The Mayor's breath is still a problem. Corn Less popular bakes today, just reminding viewers it as a bake sale today, and

Homer blows his cover. I think I've ever had a little scheme with Millhouse and Homer before. That's why I liked it. It felt Yeah, it's usually Millhouse, Bart and Homer maybe, but just Millhouse and Homer it felt fresh. Really. The only the main interaction d is the dud. Yeah. But who's that that Wiener kid? Yeah? That win A kid. Yeah. I just just enjoyed it. Yeah. Yeah. So they destroyed Millhouse's phone and they throw he and hom in the dumpster. Homer's logic here

was was good, you're the fat one of you guys. But also I loved homes when his words when he gets thrown into the I'm still alive. You call that plane to win? Yeah, because he's bulking for football. They push the dumpster down the hill. They go through the car washre tickles and this is our life now Millhouse where dumpster folk. Lisa then says, we've lost Millhouse. He'll be somewhat missed, as Principal Skinner says, and

he crosses off Millhouse's name. They've also pre obviously lost Sherry Terry and Paul Wendell. There's only one agent who's possible, who's capable of solving this crime, and it's my brother who is currently in attention. This was I like this, Lord, give me the guidance. This felt like classic Simpsons. That's right, Guid's department. Thank you, missus. Lloyd. You know, it felt very much like a Swartsweld kind of gave that one for me.

Meanwhile, Marge's still cooking and she's rememberiscing about how she came third last time. She really wants to win this one. She's going to make a raisin sponge cake, but she's out of sun made raisins. And kids love the Zinger raisins. Yeah, everybody loves the zing of Raisins. It's currently two thirty eight. Do you ever know the kid? There was a kid at school who you'd have your lunchbox, you'd have your like your lunch meal, but you'd have your little recess snack. One had a recess snack.

Yeah, but you know, in verily it was something nice. I mean a recess treat as a treat. There was always a kid that got little box of raisins. I love my Sultana's man, really, yeah, I fucking love them. It became an acquiet taste after not a quiet taste over a while, but it was like, you know what, these actually that bad? But you could see a kid who had but it's like kind of

taste like lollies a bitch. But you'd see a kid who had like a wagon wheel or some shit like that, and you'd be like, oh damn, I've got Nature's candy. So I would always get raisins and either a yoga or a roll up the snake bag. Yeah, but the do you have a roll ups? I'm a winner roll up Elliott loves roll ups. Roll ups, Yes, but now they just get caught in my teeth and it's like look good. Actually don't taste that great. They're a filling removers

what they are? Yeah, not great. But but he wants immunity and he wants to be taught a swear word that he doesn't know, and Skinner refuses that. But then they mentioned the bake sale, so Lisa convinces Skinner to, you know, give him amunity and everything you can iving. Little that's a swear. You use it as a noun. What word do you think that was? M? You could be, could be pussy, could be fuck. That's true, but yeah, everyone knows Fu's a bad word

though, right, I guess. Oh point I let us know this simpceus mailbag at gmail dot com. Let us know your most creative swears. Yes, that is shock us. That is not necessarily a swear, but if you use it as a noun, it is a swear. But he needs wheels, so he takes Skinner's car. The bullies are then making the bomb. They added some roadkill by the way, just a quick point. I love how they employ the good old entertainment trope of you need to explain something

to the audience. But it's like, well, as we both know, but you may need reminding. I didn't hear that bit? Yeah, who said that? I think Lisa's out of the skinner. Okay about the bakesale, yes, I forgotten exactly what it was, but it's like, as we both know, but you may need remind. As you know, Bob roadkill brunt hair, my sister's retainer case, six weeks of bottled farts, possum, placenta, sweat from a walk around goofy suit, and finally,

GCB, why that container of botualized ourt. Okay, everyone masks on, gentlemen, We've created the mother of all stream bombs. Most satisfactory. Jimbo, Sweetie, I have to ben to the bank. Are you boys gonna be? Okay? Al put a top on. Mom. Everyone's seen your implants, but the doctor said, the air will happen. Just go looking good, Carol. The DULs reaction here is pretty much what every key would be, like, Hey, looking good, Carol looking and then they unfortunately

kill a little hamster or something. What a hamster gebil gebbil gebbil. Yeah, I couldn't tell the difference between a hamster gerbil and a guinea pig. I think gerbils have less hair like guinea pigs. Is like the fat one of those career Yeah, first out two thirty nine and Margin Helena fighting over the last box of raisins. Bart is driving the car with his rear end and the dumpster lands on the train tracks. We come up from commercial.

Bart's still driving Margins at the supermarket buying the raisins, and Helen's been wooed down the stretcher. In the background, trainers approaching the school bus knocks the dumpster out of the way, and Otto is seen, unfortunately about to meet his demias. It seems that oh, yes, yes, we cut the Jimbo though testing the smell on. Ralph says, which doesn't go well for Ralph says, Springfields, They're gonna be stink field. Bart's watching no through

the window. He is a schematic of Jimbo's house. We've only got Drew when he picks. He drew in his second grade. You can't voice for the accuracy. The titcher gave him franny face. But but guess them and did you see the photos. One of them was a monster in the closet. I was like, I wonder if that's this like a little character trait of like this kid's troubled there's there's something at home that's scaring him, you know, because most kids end up like Jimbo, have some sort of issue.

They do. Yes, but Martin is revealed here to be at the mole, and I was like, what a plot twist? What a twist? Yeah, I love it. Scram bulled eggs a lovely mother because he's telling the guy's a scram get out of there because they're onto them. And also this too, make your split screen vanish. It works, but is now in Jimbo's house, wears the rollercoaster room in the shark tank, which was funny, and then he hears the door close or open, goes to

the basement wherever all we're making the bomb. They've escaped, and he finds Ralpho has just passed out and calls for backup. He's got a very special boy down and he interrupts Jack Bauer this, eh, I made a duty and yeah. Chloe initially not plays along but Wealthy No, it's a joke. Name, Yes, disappear in the nineties. Really no, damn it, damn it, I keep getting that was his catchphrase. Yeah, damn it, damnit. Marge says, what's twenty minutes of three hundred, it's

five minutes of twelve hundred degrees. The maths adds up. I'm not sure, but I don't think there's any oven that goes at twelve hundred either. But Marge makes the index card to go onto the front of the oven explodes. That Poursat's little helper. But it's now two forty seven. She's running out of time, but pink frosting fortunately fixes everything. She's just lathered in prink fosting. Pink frosting reminds me of the cake that Burns made for Homer

where he picked the figs himself. Yeah, looked terrible, It really did that. That was really great animation that episode, Like God had never touched that. Homer and Milhouse is still in the dumpster. They arrive at Moe's and Moe he's going to be his own dentist, which doesn't seem pleasant. No, No, it seems like they're paying tribute to a lot of twenty four here. And I don't know if they ever used a drill to torture or anyone in twenty four, but torture was a big deal in twenty four.

Or extraordinary rendition, I think is the actual term that's used when you don't want to say torture. When I saw Homemade Dentistry, I thought, there's this documentary on I think it's Netflix, and I very rarely watched occos of Netflix because they're all the fucking same thing. But it was like Monster in the House or something, and it's about a a scare house. But it's just like a guy who just runs his own sort of scarehouse in the

States. But he makes people sign a waiver where you know he can do dentistry on you and he can actually like waterboard you and like torture you, and he might be hard of hearing and psychological issues and he tries. Basically, it's like you're signing away your right to actually live a normal life.

It's worth watching. It's almost it's so uncomfortable to watch because it's just people who talking about their experience there, and some people are actually like generally fucked up, and he just torture people, and they're like he is when he's when you say I quit, he's supposed to quit, and he doesn't quit. It just keeps going. But because they've signed this waiver, they can't do anything about it. I kind of want to watch this, but at

the same time I do not. It is fucked up. Man. When I saw Modo in this industry, I was like, people like he removes people's teeth without any painkillers because they want to see what it's like to go through hell and like in an actual like haunted house kind of thing. But he just torture him. He's like his farm in America. It's so fucked up, the mcab house or something it's called. I've never heard of this. This is disturbing. I'll go on Netflix now. I'll find it for

you Netflix Lash. What was it on Disney Plus? It might have been on Disney Plus. I think actually was on Disney Plus. I'm not joking. Oh my goodness, I'm going on there now. Disney Plus, let's say it load It's it's terrific. You'll enjoy it because you're like host out. It's always amazing. Because I don't know if they're doing in the US yet. I mean I think Disney Monster Inside. It's on Disney Plus Monster

Inside. Yeah, because the US has got Hulu, which is sort of like the adult Disney Plus, where whereas an Australia in other countries, all the all the adult stuff ends up on Disney Plus. It's so bizarre, isn't it. The kids like, oh la mental, and I'm like, I'm we're watching Monster inside check out Monster Insides. I want to watch Monster in this one's even better. Well, it's funny there when I over go JB High Fight. The kids love looking at the horror covers. They're just

enthralled by them. Oh yeah, but then I don't forget. I think in the podcast, Holly is just like it turns to this woman who's standing in the in the aisle, she goes, she's got blood, and I was like, I have amazine looking a bad parent my three, I was like, she's got blood. But they just love looking at the covers of the whole movies. It're just like this is fucking cool. And it might be when I was walking around in the video store. That's precisely right.

Yeah, there's something about it. I think the horror genre nails covers better than any other genre. You think it is maybe sci fi? Yeah, I think horror is probably the is the horrors most intriguing is the front runner? Yes? Yes, and sci fi a close second for sure. How do we get to the other dentistry with Mo, so they'd leave. Mill has suggested the bakesale. Oh Betsy, she'll get us there. They take off. Then it's project stink radius. It's going to make a smell further.

Then they can kick a football or kick a kickball. I should say. Skinner doesn't want to cancel it, though, because you know the basketball rings have been retracted. DJ fun Times has already cashed his check. Altho the basketball hoops have been retracted. DJ fun Times has already cashed his deposit. And Superintendent Charmers won't be happy to hear it. Won't be happy to hear what anymore that bakesale revenue projections are through the roof. I'm very happy

to hear that. You don't know me at all. What do you think the Charmers interaction in this episode? I liked them, but I like I like Charmers. I mean, you don't know me at all. Even when he's even when it works out wealth for Skinner, he still comes across that, yeah, it's gonna just can't win. No, no, not at all. Lisa gets Martin to search for the security or such a security grid you choose the perfect person, and he sees the bullies in the hall with

the bomb, and this is where it sort of dawns on him. Oh shit, he still wants to help him. He's like, oh, I've made a bad decision here. Well it's I'm glad that we see a bit later that he was strong armed into it, because it doesn't really make sense why he would be helping. I was, as I was thinking at the start, I'm like, why is he doing this? But what do you

think of that? As boring as mainstream cinema? Well, when was this two seven actually one of the better, most better recent years for mainstream cinema? Was it? Really? I think that was the year of No Country for old men? This will be Blood Zodiac Michael Clayton was a good year two thousand and seven. Top Films's have a look, shall we? We have? Got War? American Pie, The Better House, The Condemned, I like for Condemned, that the one's Stone Cults. Yeah, it shouldn't

have been good, but it was. It felt very early two thousands. Yeah, watching watching people in like a Big Brother style house, but it's it's only people on an island. Yeah, you've got to kill everybody. Yeah, it's what was that film The Battle Royale. Yes, it's very much like that, right, m Yeah, I'm looking at I agree with top films and these aren't exactly great movies. Well, like, what are

the top films? Because that sounds like alphabetical Well for me, Apparently the top films were Mister Bean's Holiday and Tangemant Ninja Turtles Parts of the Caribbean at wells End. Apparently there's a sequel to the Soundlot actual movie Shooter Path Fined, I Shoot Them Up, Hitman, Redline, Live Free, or Die Hard? Half past Dead two the contractor? The contractor sounds good. What's the contractor? Is it half past dead too, Colin? Like, I

know, it's just called the contractor. According to Wikipedia, two thousand and seven considered one of the greatest DearS of film in the twenty fierst century. Really, there we go? All right? What happened after that? Off a cliff? Now it's two forty eight. Everyone's now on their way. The dumpster goes by Marchin and Wigham, who were waiting at the or Marge's waiting at the red light. Hello, nothing something about a woman in a

dumpster. We come up for commercials now two fifty five home. It parks a dumpster parallel parks. As you mentioned earlier, Marge arrives with the cake making cause it to slip out of her hand, dammages the car. At the same time she tries to sort of slap it all together. This reminds me of when I've just made a good sandwich and dropped it on the floor and I'm like, well, the dog gets it. You try to make it look as good as possible, be like it's not the same, but

you still eat it. I remember telling you around around Christmas time that I had made my gourmet mac and cheese for the Davis family smakest boor Yeah, I had to go. It went gray. Everybody enjoyed it, except that's right when you're walking out of the house. Yeah, it was raining and I'm trying to bounce things. It was like, imagine if just this' piping hot, fantastic mac and Jesus ended up on the on the footpath that in

herne Hill, it just would have been a sad, sad Christmas. It reminds me of like a final listen Australia's Faystone videos can Tuesday Night seven thirty. That was what well, gather around family. It's a it's funny same videos with what was her name? Joebeth Taylor. That's the one, yes from Hate Saturday. She was on that for a while. She was also a pop singer for a bit. Was she what was she? Her co

host on Agro's Cutter Connection for a while as well. No, I think that was Anne, Marie someone, but then she got replaced by somebody and Marie left because you're touching her up on the leg. Oh that's right. Yeah. Agro was a sex pest. Like legitimately the Agro Christmas tapes they're well worth watching on YouTube. Yeah, Agro, should we explain it? Agro is for international listeners. Agri was sort of like the Australian version of

Oscar the Grouch in some ways. Yeah, true, but very adult based kids cartoon show host it was. It was a puppet and the guy underneath what's his name, Jamie Done, Jamie Dune. You look at Jamie Dunnan's like, oh wow, you actually do look like you are you are? And he kind of made a resurgence a few years back and everyone was like, I think we've moved on from Agra, And second I'm just looking up Joebt Taylor. What's she doing these days? Let's see Joe Bess engagement joy

probably like get away or something right now. She has appeared on reality TV programs like Dancing with the Stars and I'm a Celebrity, Get Me out of here. Yeah natch. She started seeing at the age of five. Good for her. She moved to Melbourne in nineteen eighty nine recorded a demo tape which made his hands into Molly Meldrum straight. You dominated the music industry in those times, and now you see Molly, You're like, oh Molly, why are dropping your pants again? For I think Molly had a bit of

a Gary Busey thing where he fell off that ladder. This is for our internationalist. Is this is Australian music industry luminary ian Molly Meldrum, an icon Intellivision. Yeah, but yeah, he fell off a ladder at his house and I think he might have sustained a bit of a brain injury. And ever since then he's been having seen your moments all over the place. And this just seems like no one's can't keep his pants up, and no one and no one's kind of stopping him. No one's stopping him. Yeah,

it's not nice to see. But Jebeth Taylor, so she's on what now? Only fans? I don't know. Okay, there's a really long Wikipedia. Some people are started only fans the other day? Did she really? Uh? But that Martin has seen the guys in the in the halls that we were up to seeing the guys in the hall with the bomb. No, the guys have arrived. They're in the ventilation room, that's right, and Willie catches them in there to him mop up their blood from the inside,

and they set off the fire alarm. Martin offers to go check it out, and he skips past Nelson. But it's like, what the fuck, Nelson, Why didn't you try and stop him? Or won't you beat him up? And he puts the bit over his head. But a bit of a bad ass. Here goes Jack bauerstyle. This is back, this is bour style. Yes, I'm unclear on what you want. And eventually it comes clean. Yes, here's the mole, Lisa, you're in a secure line. I am. You're on a bluetooth cell phone, the most

vulnerable device known to man. But it looks so cool. Is that meant to be a jab at these kind of show because it's always on bluetooself I think so. Yeah. And there was a time though when coldless phones were like the coolest thing ever, like just had pieces. God, who's he talking to? Oh my god? One thing always bothers me though when you watch these shows. Yeah, the thing that bothers me when you watch these shows is like, can you hear us? And they put their hand to

their ear and go, yep, I can hear. I'm like, if you're if someone you're with could be potentially suspecting you talking to somebody else wearing a wire, why would you grab your ear and go yes, I can hear you. Don't put your hand to your ear. Who does that? Cassina or I'll just nailed this, okay. And it's opening scene because James Bond and his partner are trying to apprehend someone. They both got the ear pieces in, but the rookie keeps sort of touching his and Bonds like,

stop touching your ear? Yeah, okay, good. But he explains to Lisa that we have a mole in the ranks and he's about to about to say it is drags it out like they do on these TV shows. It's hit from behind, not a tuba by a French horn and as Martin and I really like the way he menacingly skipped us sang the skip song just yeah. Then it's two fifty eight now or two minutes away. At the bake sale, Homer calls out Sarah Wiggam for taking a taking it easy out with

the rice Krispy squares, and Margin arrives with her rock solid cake. Martin then tells the bullies to let my friends go and is where you know at the In doesn't justify why he did it, but you know he loves his That's well, there is friends. It's a bit of a it's a bit of a trope of these spy and action shows. We're going to kill my family. I had to do it, and Phobos is with them. Now the bullies start the three minute countdown and the bomb William Butt are tied up.

They say we can travel through the vent through the event. We see through the vent as history books, but only fifty's two racists nineteen nine. He's not racis enough racist enough? Then we see Uta who's caught in a web, and I thought, oh, this would be a nice gag. This is the first time I've seen Uta since you went missing. But it's not. He's appeared in a couple of episodes, the one my Homer has the daycare and the kids will give him a big hug. Uja's one of

those kids. Okay, but I still like seeing Utah. And then Miss Hoover is they're drunk with a dog. The yeah, I didn't get that. Well, the first thing is when we first see the books, the books take up nearly the entire event. By the time we get to Miss Hoover, she's just this little white person and I'm like, oh, BIG's this fucking fan. This woman's just like laying down inside this event with a dog. Anyway, right at the back sale, now nobody wants piece of

the raisin cake. Homer asked for more money like a child or the other moms give their husband's twenty dollars. And then I did relate to this. Well, then he said his dad was whole kog, and I know he's not. For some reason, when you're a kid at school, I've mentioned this before, everyone thinks that their dad's the strongest in the world. Absolutely, and one other kids says, my dad's stronger. It's like, ah, no, no, no, I think my dad can beat up your

dad. Yes, it's actually a thing. Yeah, so she gives me an extra five do. He runs off happy, but then sends the photo of the bomb with his tongue and it's a Class five stench dispersal unit. Need to shut off the fan, and they see the HDW, the main valve of the hot dog water recirculation system. By the way, I've been soaking my one for thirty isn't counting. How's it going? Tastes good? Yeah, Lisa says, might you might die and Skinner says it's worth the

risk. Then Charms enters again and just gets in trouble. Then they released the valve and the water is lifting them into the fan. The blades have just been sharping. What a bit. Oh, actually that was coming. I'm thin think of what Will' suggestion was in a few moments with your spine. Yeah, as you die and block it with your spine, keep pitching. I'll be back. But before that, though, Martin hangs himself with a wedgie and this is a trope, but oh, it won't here,

and he then sings the skipping song again. But he's all sad about it. Will sugges Jammy the blazes with your spine, as we said. Then Bart swims to the baked sail through the looks through the window. How we get who? There's your mouth size mail And it was a window to the childs. What are we grave? We're gonna tries to shoot it out but it's bulletproof. Who does I keep asking them? Dan? Damn? Is it written in his contract? Do you think there must be some like financial

incentive? No? I just think they thought they think it's hilarious in the writer's room. You're so wrong. I just don't understand it. But nothing can shatter it. Oh yes it can. Margin is o cake the bakesale floods. Homer thinks the bomb is a thermous What do you think of discus throwers? As in what do I think? Wad you? Do? You admire the process of throwing a discuss? Same same as shot put? Yeah? I'm always I can't remember the Olympics are coming out later this year.

In part I can't I imagine myself sitting down like, oh it's discus time. I appreciate it, yeah, as a sport, but I think I don't understand with Olympics, right, how do these guys make They dedicate so much of their lives to this event, right, in this sport, how are they making a living? I don't say spot, but like not everyone's getting a major sponsorship. I imagine swimmers and runners are getting the poster boys

of the Olympics. They really are. Yeah, one or two others, but I mean yeah, like the javelin thrower, Yeah, the discus tosser. I guess there's a market of javelins out there that they want to sponsor on the best javelin thrower in the world, who knows. But I think you're probably working nine to five and then it's got to be right and training for discus in your spare time. I don't think swimmers do. I think

swimmers just their life is just training. Certainly, Yeah, yeah, I think you've got some high profile sports where it's like this is the one that people are going to be watching. We want our brand associated with you. Yeah. I was watching the bits, gone, what do you do for a living? Surely it's not there. What's the what's the sport that they've selected for Paris? Because each country chooses a sport that's only in that years

Olympics. Really Sydney chose beach volleyball. I never paid that much attention to example. It used to just mean for me that it was twenty five since Marathon, every Limbics, he's always and now they're not on foxtail anymore. This is the thing I talked about that Nanty channel recently. Right, it's like a man Andrew Swan, I'm a friend of the pod patron of ours. He's told me how you can turn your plex into a TV station. So basically it's not you know, when you pick it and choosing it's it's

not the same as when it's just on TV. When I was a kid, I was just watch it because it was on right, and you couldn't pick and choose. But he's now showed me how he can turn your plex into just a twenty four hour TV station of all your favorite shows. Oh my gosh, and just been able to turn on the TV and just having an episode of The Six It's just come on. I'm more inclined to watch that than have to pick through and go this one. No, not that

one. But back in the day it was just on, you just watched it. Well, that's true. We all know that analysis paralysis is a real thing. Oh, when are we gonna watch nany and you've gone through your entire plex catalog. Yeah, and you haven't watched the damn thing. They gonna do the work for you. Yeah, I'm excited to actually make

my Plex do that. I'm gonna give it a try, except I will probably fuck it all up everything, and then I'm gonna call down to damn you Swan, Swan e Worklesha. What about me, Bart Simpson, Twelve minutes ago, you made an annoying, praying phone call to me. All you andit's move in. I pulled every single field agent off all other cases to track you down and bring you to justice. It was a tough decision, but I think I made the right call. It's okay. That was

Shelbyville. I very rarely mentioned Shelbyville as well anymore like that. That little rivalry used to be a thing in the Simpsons. I always enjoyed that. Yeah, that limit of Troy's a grand episode where they go to Shelbyville exactly. So yeah, this was I think this was the episode of the season so far for me. I don't know if I got quite that far. It was certainly an episode of this season. It was good, it was good. I had a good time with it, and you know what,

I hadn't even better time talking about it with you. What do we learn, Palmer? What'd you learn from the episode? Though there's really nothing as boring as mainstream cinema that we went racist enough in the nineties. Well, for me, it wasn't through lack of trying. From forward. Your names will be all right, it is new name's time, mister Davis. The

current leaderboard stands at this, I wonder who's on in first position? Of course is our man Philip Jay Hawker's on twenty eight points, in second position, Clever Kyle on seventeen, and Luke McKay is on sixteen points. Take it away right, then one point goes to keep a madness. Well, not bad. That's Brian Hughes. Brian Hughes another point, he's way, He's on seven points. Now I believe Hugh's he well done. You're reference that no one out of side is astray will get Yeah, you don't want

to just move on. It's not as much fun as you think. Not good animal two points, two points, goes to Rush half hour. I like it. I've never seen the Rush our films. I'm gonna I think you mentioned that. I think I said maybe you should. Yeah, that's Adam will House. Oh I think he's also on seven points? What on Adam Woolly Bully well done? No Phil j yet but three points three points

as well? You never can tell. Now we'll talk about this after I say it, because Dan and I had a spirited conversation before we started recording about this. But three points goes to twenty dope. Yes, now that goes through it. Man, Justin Williams, well on just you're on thirteen points now outright fore position, nice one, Jozy, But twenty dote doesn't make sense to me. Twenty four twenty dough? Is that that what they're going for? Yes, I mean you really have to sort of have fun

with pronunciation if you go twenty four twenty dope. Still no, I am reminded of I think it was the Prince movie Under the Cherry Moon. He

always has some wacky titles that man. He did. Indeed, fun movie Under the Cherry Moon a bit bit odd, but I think he has a scene where he's this smooth American hipster who's you know, holiday on the French riviera and trying to you know, make up with this hot English Aires played by young Christian Scott Thomas writes down a word on a piece of paper and says, use this in a sentence, and the word is recostos, Like that's not a word. How would how would I? How would I do

that? And Princess well, I went down to the recasto and I put some albums and I get the BILLI off you were trying to but I'm trying to rhyme get the twenty You get the chocolate for that one, right, Yes, if you're trying to rhyme at twenty four with twenty do, that's how you'd probably forget about it. Maybe Justin has had his old, this whole different theory that you just ant picking up one. Maybe it could well be the Justin guy, guy likes things that have dough in. I was

going to say, I don't think there's a sinus the plan here. I think Justin's just kind of like I'm going to game the system by gaming guy here. Mailbag time, mister Davis Andrew JP. Aside from this episode, what a Shark what's your favorite Simpsons non Treoss movie slash TV show homage. I liked not it. You didn't have to read the book slash see the movies to enjoy. That was recently. I wasn't a huge fan. I thought I was very underwhelming. They're not it Ones. I haven't seen that.

Yeah, it's from like two seasons ago. What they do now is they have like a horror trios of horror, and they have like a horror sort of themed episode that's like either set it Halloween or it's a horror parody, so that this episode was an entire parody of it called it and it wasn't it was. It just wasn't it was. It just felt like it wasn't very funny. Anyway. That's a really good question, and I wish I had an answer that I could not. I love the Springfield File.

So that's the one that stands out for me. Oh yeah, it's not really an imashes, it's it isn't a Marsh It features Molden and Scully, and it's the next Files vibe the entire way through. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll bring you love. Yes, breaking It's knees, such a great legs love breaks legs. There's the one where home is on the on the treadmill was like watching a lava lose a bit of weight. Yes do

you understand? Yes? Yes, beprief for Files is one that stands out for me movie parodies when it's like the whole episode because it's not just scenes, because I always love the Indiana Jones Homer rolling. Yeah, that's a great homage. Yeah, I don't know that. It's just stand up for me? What about you anything in particular? I think you've basically echoed my thoughts very well. Dave McNally says, favorite Kiefer role slash movies. We kind of touched on this, we did. Yeah, Like I said,

the one two punch of Standby mellon Lost Boys. I liked Designated Survivor, but it kind of loss its way by the end. Yeah, it's not. It's one of those ones that I never really sort of got into. Jack Bower is the one he'll be forever remembered for. I think I think that's the obituary. Yeah, es Andrew swan now Man once again this episode and the next other last pre Simpsons movie episodes. Wow, he didn't realize that it was also the twentieth anniversary of the Simpsons, including the shorts.

Any thoughts on doing a Simpsons movie slash twentieth anniversary celebration on the podcast? Well there are. Now you've supported of ours on Patreon, and you should be well away that we have a review of the Simpsons movie on our Patreon. That is correct. Yes, so tell your friends. I believe Mitch and I did a commentary of it as well. What did you and I do a commentary? Then you and I did the commentary? Mitch and I did a commentary as well. Maybe it did two commentaries. I think you

mentioned that Mitch had done it and was like, this is terrible. Let's redo it with guy that didn't happen, Harrison McClure. What was your favorite two thousands hit show? Hit shows are the two thousands TV show? What was your favorite show? Well, this is about the Breaking Bad was in the teen? So what was your two thousands hit show? Was it Breaking Bad? Two nine, twenty thirteen? I think? Oh okay, then so the bulk of it in the teen? Yeah, it wouldn't call it

two thousands hit show? Cool hit TV shows? Two thousands? What was that one? Was really big Heroes. Lost was in there as well. Lost was definitely in there, but a lot of the officers in there, friends at the office talk, Pat and Kate take it out or the Wire was in the two thousand was in there, so that the Sopranos ninety seven. I wish I didn't. This was a good time for prestige TV, certainly, certainly from our friends at HBO, Arrested Development, very very correct,

six Feet Under Dexter, the Shield of the Shield, Deadwood. I was very partial to Deadwood, thirty Rock, Oh, thirty Rock. Of course, yes, show that I never watched, but I can just remember it being like, if you didn't watch your show, you won't cool. So for a while I wasn't cool. It was the OC. Those first two seasons were just like Destination Television. Well, I would have been about year eight I Reckon when that show was on, and it was just all

everyone was talking about, and I just wasn't interested. Yeah, I was into it for a while, but again I was listening to this other interesting podcast where they were talking about youth TV of the late nineties and early two thousands and how the guys at the OC thought that they were going to get canceled by the end of the first season, so they burned through all their

good ideas. Really okay, and then they're like, no, no, you're you're that backfight on you and now we're going to give you more season. Oh no, we've got to come up with more stuff. I remember they killed off the main they killed off Marissa, and I remember that was just when people just stopped watching. And it's funny becau because apparently they didn't

want to do that, but they were listening to people online. There was a small but vocal contingent of people online like we hate Marissa really or the Sheldons, like what are you doing. There's other talk as well. It's like, oh, you know, Mischa Barton, who played Marissa, was like hard to work with, always come out. Yeah, that's true.

I just finished reading this book about press CCV and it was really interesting because the guy who wrote it's a good writer, really good reporter, and also recognized that we've got to give him a bit of dirt, we got to we've got to muckreak a little bit, and you know he's like, yeah. According to some sources, NJ justified Timothy Olen was Timothy Oliphant was real prick and I'm like, wait a minute, plus changes everything I trusted you.
