Episode description

UPDATE: 9/10/2024 As a charity that values art and storytelling, we recognise the problematic aspects of AI usage. Our use of AI in this episode is purely illustrative, providing an exploration of the way folklore evolves by combining and changing stories. We condemn the theft involved in AI-generated content, and the threat it poses to artists and writers. This episode does not reflect the broader work or views of Folklore Scotland, and internal AI policies are now in place to better reflect our stance on the subject. Something a bit different this week on The Crannog! We asked ChatGPT to make up a Scottish folktale, and then analysed what it gave us. Please note that this was for fun, and that AI is not and should not be a stand in for human-created art 🙌 Kofi: ko-fi.com/folklorescotland Check out our socials to keep in the loop!
