Hear Us

The Word says in Psalms 88 and 2, Let my prayer come before thee. Incline thine ear unto my cry. Welcome to Focus Prayer with G. Craig Lewis. Can we just forget about ourselves? Come on. forget about yourself. Concentrate on Him and worship Him. All your burdens and concentration. Jesus and worship. and say worship him. Make our requests known with thanksgiving to your name.

Hallelujah. So good to be in the house of the Lord. Amen. So good to be fasted up and ready to pray. Amen. You're fasting today, right? All right. We're going to go into our prayer today. And thank you all for coming. Nice crowd. Thank you all. It's encouraging to see young people. Y'all young people, right? Young people gather together to pray and talk to the Lord and just believe in that he hears us. Amen. So today we're going to be praying about that. We want the Lord to.

Hear us. Amen. Amen. We dealt with unhindered prayers on Sunday. We don't want anything in our way of God hearing us and granting us the things that we need. Amen. So we're going to do just like we just sung. Forget about ourselves and concentrate on him because we want the Lord to hear us. Amen.

All right, well, we're going to go ahead and just get right into this, asking the Lord to hear us. We're going to start out by praying the Psalms 103, and we're going to begin. 103 and 1 says, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. Bless his holy name. So, Father, we bless. your name tonight we bless your name your name is great in the heavens and the earth you are the grand orchestrator of everything

And in you we have our being. We breathe, we move, we live. Father God, it is because of you that we are here. So we bless your holy name. Help us even in this moment to just forget about ourselves and forget about our feelings and forget about our emotions and what we were thinking of and what we've been worried about and what has been. At the forefront of our minds. Father God right now we put all of that aside. To bless your wonderful name. Right now.

We bless your name. King of glory. Strong and mighty in battle. We bless your name. Knowing that you fight for us. Father God we bless your name. With all of our soul. With all of our strength, we bless your name. And we lift you high above every one of our problems, all of our issues. And all of our concerns. Right now our only concern. Is blessing you Lord. So help us to bless you God. We bless you now. Help us to forget.

All that is in the way of us blessing you. Help us Father God to move ourselves out of the way. Concentrate on you. And bless your name. We worship you Lord and believe that. That there is absolutely, positively none above you. You are high above everything. All of our problems, issues, concerns. And there is none above you.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Father God, there are so many benefits to serving you. You're the only God that grants benefits, Father God. You are the only God we serve because in you there are benefits, Lord. There are benefits. There are benefits to serving you. Benefits to living like you have ordained. Benefits Father God for being obedient to you. Benefits Lord. We benefit in the earth for knowing you.

Trusting you. And you living inside of us. And Father we remember when we were in darkness. You brought us into your marvelous light. Through the truth of your word. That is. A great benefit when we were lost, when we were in darkness, when we couldn't see. our way out father god you shine the light of the glorious gospel upon us changed our hearts our minds father god you fix what was wrong you healed what was ailing father god you came

And gave us a great benefit. So we serve you Lord. We choose you. We love you. Because you have great benefits for us. And you brought us out and brought us into your marvelous light through the truth of your word. We have benefited. Even more so from your plan for us. God when we thought we knew what to do. And we thought we knew what we wanted to do. Father God you changed it. And showed us your way. And we have benefited from being.

In your way, Father God. Benefited from walking according to your will. Benefited, Father God, for laying down the world's expectations for us. And taking on your perfect plan.

For our lives. We have benefited. And we thank you Lord. For the many benefits. That you grant us. 103 and 3 says. And who forgiveth all thine iniquities. And healeth all. Thy. diseases. Hallelujah. So Father right now we confess our sins to you. All of our sins God. Sins we've committed. knowingly unknowingly father god all the times we've fallen all the times we've gotten weak all the times father god we turned our back on you father we ask that you forgive us right now

We confess our sins to you and ask for forgiveness for every one of them. Father God, we confess them to you, Lord. Believing that you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Anything we have done knowingly and unknowingly, we ask that you forgive us, Lord. We ask that you forgive us, Father God. Forgive us, Lord. Forgive us.

Help us to even move past senseless sins, Father God, and childish sins and youthful sins and all the things we are used to doing. Father God, forgive us for every... One of them. Every ill thought we've had. Even against our brothers and sisters. Father God, forgive us for it. Lord, every ill thought we've had, even against ourselves, our own minds, our own bodies, sins against our own bodies. Father God, forgive us.

Forgive us, Lord. You said that you would cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So cleanse us right now in the name of Jesus by the power of your Holy Ghost. And Lord, heal us, God. Heal our bodies. Every sickness, every disease, every ailment. Father God, everything that is out of order in our mortal bodies. Lord God, heal our bodies.

bodies you said that is a benefit that you not only forgive our sins but you heal all of our diseases so father we bring our bodies to you asking that you cleanse us and heal us god Straighten out anything in our bodies that needs to be straightened. Father God, help us, Lord. In our bodies, heal us, Lord. Cleanse us from every disease. In the name of Jesus, we pray.

who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with love and kindness and tender mercies. Lord, thank you for saving us from destruction and showing us the right way to behave. and have a better life lord thank you father god even as many of our own sisters and brothers and relatives and friends in many cases our own mothers and fathers just

Family, Lord, are going the wrong way, headed for destruction. But Father God, you shined the light on our hearts and turned us away from that. And Father God, you've shown us how we need to behave. And you showed us a better way to live. And we thank you for that, God. We thank you for the better way. Father God, we thank you, Lord, for redeeming our lives from destruction.

And we thank you for being merciful and loving us through our issues and errors, Father God. Thank you for your tender mercy and your mercies that are renewed every morning toward us. Thank you, God. For having a loving heart. You aren't like men God. You don't remember what we did. When we did what we did. But God you cast it away. As far as the east is from the west. And we thank you for that God.

for that renewance father god for putting us back where we belong lord we thank you for your tender mercies and loving us through every one of our issues Father God, when we thought we were right and we were wrong, you loved us through it. God, when we kept bumping our heads, you loved us through it. God, you gave us the grace, the mercy and the time.

Father God, to get past certain things, we thank you for that. We thank you. And help us to do the same for our brothers and sisters. Help us to do the same for our family. Help us to do the same. Even in this fellowship, Father God. To look past people's faults and see their needs. In Jesus name. Who satisfied thy mouth with good things so that the youth.

Thy youth is renewed like the eagle. So Lord, we are made new by your goodness. And Father God, we can change our history by following the plan you have. For us. And we thank you. For that Lord. In Jesus. Name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Tonight we're going to pray this passage, 2 Chronicles 7 and 14. If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, seek my face, turn from their wicked ways. Then will I hear from heaven. I will forgive their sins and heal their land. We're going to pray that passage. Boy, we need our land healed. And we need our sins forgiven.

We're going to pray that tonight. So we're going to start out just breaking the scripture up. If my people, which are called by my name, Lord, we are your people and the sheep of your. pastor we belong to you and you alone father god we are yours we name your name because we belong to you father god we give ourselves to you We don't want to be in fellowship with any other God, any false God. But God, we are your people and the sheep of your pasture and the children of the Most High God.

bearing your wonderful name and we thank you father god for loving us choosing us and redeeming us from our sordid history thank you lord for loving us When we didn't know how to love you, you loved us. When we didn't know how to love others, you loved us. So thank you, God, for loving us, choosing us, and redeeming us from our sordid past.

We were into the things that we did that were against your plan. You loved us through it and you brought us here. And though we have tested you, Lord, failed you and turned from you at times. You still call us yours. And we thank you. We thank you for that. Thank you for not being like a man and turning your backs on us like so many men have.

Thank you for not being like a human and turning your back on us and giving up on us like so many have. But you still call us yours. We are called by your name. And we thank you for never giving up on us. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Just get that time in your mind where you just knew. That God had given up. And he was still right there. Right there. To pull you out of the fire. To pull you into your purpose. To pull you into his plan for you. Thank you.

you lord thank you lord hebrews 13 and 5 let your conversation be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have for he hath said

I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. We are his people. He said, if my people, which are called by their name, will humble themselves. Father God, we have nothing by our own power and nothing. By our own abilities. So we humble ourselves right now. God when we thought we were something. We humble ourselves knowing that we are nothing. God when we thought we were better than someone else. We humble ourselves knowing.

That we are not. God when we thought we were spiritually deeper. And we thought we outranked somebody else. Father we are nobody. So we humble ourselves. Before you. And your great presence. And your greatness. We humble ourselves. Even before our peers. Our brethren and others. Father God we humble ourselves. We are nothing without you. And your mercy toward us. We will not see ourselves as better than anyone. And we will keep a forgiving, loving, compassionate heart for others.

A forgiving, a loving and compassionate heart for others. As we decrease Lord. Hallelujah. Help us to see ourselves. As less than others. And esteem others. Better than ourselves. Father God we humble ourselves. So that we don't have to be humbled. We humble ourselves right now so that we don't have to be humbled. You don't have to do it, God. We do it right now.

And we are all and we know we're all one tragedy away from having nothing at all. Nothing at all. All that we have rest upon you God. All that we have rest in your mercy. All that we have rest in your hand. So who are us? Who are we to be puffed up in ourselves? We humble ourselves right now in the sight of God. so that we decrease.

That you may increase. We decrease right now, God, that you may increase. 1 Peter 5 and 6. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due. Help us with this, Lord, to humble ourselves, not consider ourselves better, even in our families, in our marriages, with our children, with, Father God, relatives. Help us to humble.

ourselves and pray Father God we pray right now to pray more we pray right now to pray more help us to pray more Father God help us so that prayer will be Our first choice in situations, God. Help us so that prayer will be at the forefront. And we pray to you and talk to you. And not take matters in our own hands, Father God.

Help us to pray. To pray more. Help us to call upon your name out of thanksgiving Lord. More than we need and want. We call on your name out of thanksgiving. More than we need. And more than we want. Father God every time we come to you. We don't want to come to you just needing something. And wanting something. But we want to come to you just with thanksgiving. Thank you for what you've already done. Teach us how to do that.

Thanking you for what you've already done. Thanking you for the prayers that you have answered. Thanking you, Father God, for all that you have done. For keeping your word. for giving us life, for giving us another day, for blessing us with food and clothing and shelter. Father God, good health, a good mind, a mind to want to serve you in this wicked time.

Help us to just be thankful and pray to you. Help us to pray for others, God, more than we pray for ourselves. Help us, Father God, to intercede for the problems of others. us God to pray for the issues of others for the health of others God for the mental and emotional state of others not just talk about them not just put them down but God help us to humble ourselves And pray. And help us to pray instead of criticizing and speaking evil.

of others let prayer be the first thing we do father god even when people hurt us even when people hurt our families even when people come against us help us to pray instinctively And not criticize or speak evil of them. And help us to give it to you instead of using our emotions and feelings to make things worse, Lord. We need your help in this area, Lord. We need your help in this area.

area as things around us get bad as things around us father god decline father god sometimes our care and concern for others decline with it but father we don't want that to happen we need you in this area help us to pray In the name of Jesus. We need your help in this area so distractions, discouragement, and doubt will not hinder us praying.

To you. And Father most of all. Give us a consistent posture of prayer. In Jesus name. Luke 18 and 1. And he spake a parable unto them. To this end. That men ought always to pray and not faint. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And Father God, we humble ourselves and pray and we seek. Your face. Father God help us to seek your face. We seek your face for direction Lord. For answers Lord. For your plan for us Lord.

For the things that you want out of us, Lord. For the things that you aren't pleased with, Lord. This is what we seek your face about, Father God. So help us to live in accordance to your will. And teach us to wait on you. And move according to your plan for us. This comes when we seek your face. We learn how to wait. We learn how to wait. By seeking your face first. And before we even ponder it or think about it, we must first seek your face about it.

And Father God, deliver us from disappointment. Disappointment in the times when we sought you and we felt we didn't hear anything. The time that we sought you and we felt you didn't answer. The time that we sought you. Father God. Just deliver us from disappointment that discourages us to seek your face. That discourages us to talk to you. That discourages us to put you before what we want to do. Father God.

deliver us from those times those times can be traumatizing and the enemy will keep reminding us of it how we sought after you and didn't get an answer or we felt we didn't get an answer but God Sometimes we're just not in the right place, the right posture. There are other things. So Father God, help us with discouragement so that we can trust you. Trust you to seek your face, Father God.

Even discouragement with men, discouragement with our fathers, discouragement in our marriages, discouragement, Father God, can come in all kinds of ways to make us doubt. seeking your face for things. But Father, we ask for deliverance from that right now. All discouragement. Take it out of our hearts. Take it out of our minds. Take it out of our emotions so that we will trust you. and begin to seek your face for direction before we move.

And Father God, help us to fast when we need to. Push the plate away. Father God, help us, Lord, to go on fast in seeking you for answers and direction. When it's something that we don't have the answer to, we need to seek. you and posture ourselves to hear you. So help us to fast and to get your approval before we go forward with our plans. In Jesus name. Psalms 9 and 10 says. And they that know thy name. Will put their trust. In thee. For thou Lord has not forsaken them. That seek thee.

Hallelujah. You will not forsake us if we are consistent in seeking you. And Father, seeking you means that we seek after you continuously.

Until we get the answer that we need. So help us Father to seek your face. And help us Lord in turning from our wicked ways. We don't want to be displeasing to you, Lord. And we don't want our ways, Father God, to be hindrances to what you want to do for us. So help us, God. Turn. from our wicked ways, even the ways that are built in our character.

the ways that are built in our behavior, the ways, Father God, that we adopted because of our own issues and our upbringing and different things. Father God, help us to forsake all ways that are wicked. In the name of Jesus. Even when it's instinctive God. Even when it's just a retaliation. Or Father God is just. We're used to it from growing up in.

Environments where we have to fight or we have to defend ourselves and all of those things be overly protective of our hearts. Father, help us, Lord, to not continue in those ways. Help us to turn. From our wicked ways. You gave us power over sin. So help us in the times of temptation. To do what is right. And we will do our best, Father God, to stop sinning against our bodies, against each other, and most importantly, against you, Lord. Hallelujah.

So right now, Father God, in turning from wicked ways, we denounce all sexual sin and perversions, all youthful lust, all petty arguments and issues with others. All self-hatred, envy, idolatry, false gods, witchcraft, pharmakia, sorceries, and every doorway of wicked thoughts, desires, and actions. We denounce. Right now. All wicked ways. Father God. All wicked ways. I'm going to go through these again. All sexual sins and perversions. All youthful lust.

Petty arguments and issues with others. Self-hatred, envy, idolatry, false gods, witchcraft, pharmakia, sorceries, and every doorway of wicked thoughts. desires and actions we denounce right now all wicked ways and father show us what we're doing if we don't even know what we're doing that's wicked show us father god speak it to us father god send someone to let us know send someone father god to tell us send someone to warn us before destruction comes before

Punishment comes. Speak it to us, Father God. Let us know and we'll be receptive, understanding, and submissive to your authority and your truth. Help us to turn from every wicked action in the name of Jesus. And we turn from our wicked ways and ask that you keep us from falling back into them. Father God.

Your word says now unto him that is able. I mean now unto him that is able to keep you from falling. So Father God you are able to keep us from falling. Father God you are able to warn us. You are able Father God. To send what we need to help us. Father God, you are able through the power of your Holy Ghost to keep us from falling. Now unto him that is able to keep us from falling and present us faultly before.

Faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. God, we believe what your word says. So keep us from falling. Back into any wicked.

ways and finally the last part of this powerful passage says then will he hear us from heaven forgive our sins and heal our land Father God, we want you to hear us. And we don't want anything in the way of you hearing us. Father God, we don't want any hindrances. So when we humble ourselves and pray. And seek your face and turn from our evil ways. You said you hear us and grant us what we need. This is not a one-time thing, but we must do this.

consistently whenever needed to get answers from you. So help us with these things, God. Knowing when to humble ourselves, pray, seek your face and turn from our evil ways to get answers from you, to hear from you. And Father, we thank you, Lord, for only requiring. our obedience to hear us in heaven. All you require is our obedience. We thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord, for forgiving. For the forgiving of our sins. And the healing of our land.

First Thessalonians 4 and 1 says furthermore then we beseech you brethren and exhort you by the Lord Jesus that ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God. So ye would abound more and more. Help us to walk and please God. So that we can abound more and more. hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah father we thank you for hearing When we call on your name you hear us. As we turn from our wicked ways you hear us.

You promised you'd forgive our sin and heal our land. We're confident in your word.

Hear us win. themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from there. Wicked ways Then I will hear From heaven Yes, I will forgive their sin. So we're crying out, Lord, heal our land. Come on, lift your hands and say it, church. We cry, Lord. He's healing us right now. Lord, heal our land. We believe you hear us when we call. Come on, if you believe, lift up your voice and cry out, Lord, heal our land. We believe you hear us, Lord. Lift it up, say, Lord, Lord.

Lift it up church. Say Lord heal us Lord. Heal our land. We turn away from our sin Lord. You promised you would Lord, you promised you would Lord We know you hear us when we call. We have your promise, Jesus. We have your promise, Lord. Come on, sing it again. Say, Lord. We know you hear us, Lord. tonight, just call on his name. Lord, heal us. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You believe he's able to do it? Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on and stand to your feet.

Hallelujah. We believe that he is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. This final passage. This is talking about King Manasseh and what happened when he humbled himself before God and sought the face of the Lord. It says in 2nd... Chronicles 33 and 12. And when he was in affliction. Anybody ever been in affliction? He besought the Lord his God and humbled himself. Greatly. Before the God of. His. Fathers. Humbled himself greatly. Before the God of his fathers.

And prayed unto him. And he was entreated of him. And heard his supplication. And brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. And then Manasseh knew that the Lord was his God. All you have to do is humble yourself. Seek his face. Turn from your wicked ways. And you will then know that he is God. Amen. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
