This week on FNI WrapChat is MD of Wildcard Distribution Patrick O'Neill. Wildcard Distribution is an Irish film distributor established in early 2013 specialising in new and fresh approaches to distribution. Its breath of work and clients over the last number of years is very impressive. Its slate in recent years include Cardboard gangsters, The Young Offenders, Katie, Black 47, The Hole in the Ground, and the upcoming Extra Ordinary. Their job is to acquire and release films in Irish cinemas as well as on Video on Demand and DVD. In addition to distribution, Wildcard also offers a consultancy service advising on sales and marketing films at different stages from script to screen. Patrick has over 15 years experience in the film industry including seven years at the Irish Film Board where he managed their film distribution fund.
