Episode description
In season 3, episode 88, Crawly and Dustin break down a flurry of Cubs news, including outfielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger opting in to his contract for 2025, the team declining left-hander Drew Smyly's option and right-hander Kyle Hendricks and reliever Jorge Lopez entering free agency. Crawly then talks with Triple-A Iowa Cubs play-by-play announcer Alex Cohen about how the team fared in 2024 and which prospects could contribute to the big league club in 2025. Later, Crawly and Dustin discuss left fielder Ian Happ winning his third straight Gold Glove while shortstop Dansby Swanson was robbed of the honor.
