There may be no mascot origin story less thought-through or more unimpressive than Louie’s. Sorry, Blues fans.

It’s a HOCKEY NIGHT!!!! Innnnnnn PITTSBURGH!!!! The Blues are here to take on Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. Last time Missouri’s NHL franchise were in town, the Pens came from behind in a tough-fought victory over a team who did just about anything they could to get under Pittsburgh’s skin - literally - including a brawl that led to a bleeding cut on the bridge of 87’s nose. It wasn’t a good game plan for Berube’s Blues, though, as the Penguins emerged with a 5-3 comeback W and, in the words of Josh Getzoff, a “2-pt Party on 5th Ave.”
