Flex and Frooms Flex and Fromes. This is the Flex and Frooms catch up podcast.

Speaker 2

It is Friday the thirteenth. Very spooky if you believe in that. So a couple of weeks ago threw me to that thing that so many white celebrities do, and they say I love hip hop and rap and then go on to start rapping Nicki Minaj Monster or Nicki Minash Superbass.

Speaker 1

And when she did that, I said, oh, don't be a mean babe. I stopped her straight away. I said, I don't know if you want to do that.

Speaker 3

I thought it was the bad thing that I'm gonna eat so hard on the sofa.

Speaker 1

And I was like, don't do it.

Speaker 2

And I think she thought I was just being a bit of like a krabby Patty, which is then she then, thankfully the FBI agent in her phone did I'm want to save her too, babe. She ends up being saved a whole carousel of different white celebrities proving their their hood cred by rapping the verse. We've got a Taylor Swift, Selina Gomes, Millie, Bobby Brown, that little kid that was on Ellen, those two girls, Grayson.

Speaker 1

Yes, she did, and that was bad to be you all right.

Speaker 2

Today we talked about the naked thank you and the petition for me starting to ban people from talking from taking calls in Uber you.

Speaker 3

Guys, I'm taking I'm taking uber pulls because I want to meet cool new people in the city.

Speaker 2

And she says you're putting her off when you start having allowed to pick a conversations or even just talking loudly. I fear this is brimming on, Karen, but I won't throw that out without you listening to the podcast. First, have a lovely weekend, get near it, Eat something good I don't want. I don't want any sad meals. I don't mean struggle meals. I mean the meal that you got because you thought you were doing the right thing.

Speaker 1

Get the thing you actually want to eat. This is flex and frooms on, Kita.

Speaker 2

What better time than the present to realize we don't really know how to do anything properly.

Speaker 1

That is what my algorithm is teaching me. And I'm happy to be a student.

Speaker 2

I like learning and I like knowing that there's a better way to understand the people around me and myself.

Speaker 1

So this tip came from a TikTok called.

Speaker 2

Rich Mindset six one five bit of me technique thirty seven is never the naked thank you. Never let the words thank you stand alone from A to Z, always followed up with a four. For example, I wouldn't say thank you for me. I'd say thank you for distractedly watching TikTok as we work together. It's really helpful to know that you're not paying attention. I would do so myself. I wouldn't say thank you, I would say thank you Mickey Yannie for dedicating your time to making our show

the best show it's been ever. Yeah, speak, this is how we say thank you. So the next time you want to express your gratitude for someone, be specific, thank them for something in particular.

Speaker 3

Thank you, Flex for giving us this information selflessly as per it hits different now that day I found myself in an ober pool. Why do I get uber pools Because I like not knowing who's going to get in and I am partial to a conversation.

Speaker 1

Wow, this is how you meet people in the wild. Flex, Oh, I'm just talking to me. I love chatting to an air driver every now and then.

Speaker 3

But to be honest, at times, at times I do get in with the headphones in and then if I see someone, So are.

Speaker 2

You sizing up every person and seeing if they're worthy of a discussion?

Speaker 1

Do you acknowledge averone who gets in the pool? Yeah, give a little smile. How how full are the pools?

Speaker 3

There have been times where I've had anyone in the middle seat, no one in the middle sel.

Speaker 1

I don't think they do four a time. Amazing I had. I've had some amazing uper pool experiences. People that why have you never talked about that?

Speaker 3

I don't know, because it just happened. I'll just I met a chip the other day in uber pool and we went together. Then another guy came in and we were talking about what we're going to do that night.

Speaker 1

Then he got involved. He was like eighteen, Like it was giving.

Speaker 3

It was giving a whole cruise and generational, intergenerational experience.

Speaker 1

Again demographics covered. You've got the elderly with fruits dried up in the back seat, So into one spot the back seat always, babe, Okay, back right?

Speaker 3

If I could choose behind the driver, yeah, because hopefully, like if we crash, he's probably gonna try to save himself first.

Speaker 1

It's going to be on the right, on the right side. He's all things you got to think about.

Speaker 3

Okay, So I get in, there's a chick already in there, and she's like giving an impatient vibe, like I think she's late for somewhere.

Speaker 1

She's she's like to drive out. Are you doing another pickup? I'm kind of.

Speaker 3

Like you, I know it's been a long day, but come on.

Speaker 1

She's a fighter, and it's like.

Speaker 3

Making me feel like I'm in in post yeah sharing uber anyway, she gets to having a conversation on her air pods.

Speaker 1

In the uber, which you are not happy.

Speaker 3

I am diametrically opposed to this because it's her or just generally both.

Speaker 1

She was talking so loud. Flex were talking about.

Speaker 3

Like this job interview that she went to and I knew the company.

Speaker 2

It's like, you should have jumped in, I said, at this point, it's our conversation.

Speaker 3

I was like, is giving Carl Stefan Evick like, you can't have open phone calls in ubers.

Speaker 1

I don't know, no, because you don't know who's listening. You can't have open phone calls in uber pools, even even in ubers.

Speaker 3

You gotta like sometimes we don't acknowledge there's not there's a person driving who there in the car like they're listening.

Speaker 2

There's persons listening to us talk on this radio show, and we says some row stuff every day.

Speaker 1

It's like you're not aware. I can't people listening, she says. I'm telling you, it's like.

Speaker 3

I can't be aware because if I'm aware, I just wouldn't be able to do it anyway.

Speaker 1

All I'm saying, my mom is listening. Don't tell me that every time we o. I love Liz.

Speaker 3

So all I say is I think you should either you've got two options.

Speaker 1

You got three options.

Speaker 3

Sit there quietly, look at the window. Second option, put your airphone air pods in your cord headphones can call them, put them in your ears.

Speaker 1

And look out the window.

Speaker 3

Mum, if you're going to talk, make sure that chat is cracking and popping and include everyone in the Okay, it's not it's not giving high school.

Speaker 1

We should do loud speaker and just say hey, I'm and uber Pool. Introduce yourself everyone. We've got to listener in the back of rund behind the driver. We've got Jack in the front. Just eighteen you're listening to Flex and Rooms on Kaita.

Speaker 2

For me, we have to do this. I found this hypothetical scenario. Yes, from this TikTok called Questions for Love. I said, this is hot the hook. You want to know if your loved ones really know you get them to answer this question. And so I said, I know I loved one. I work with her five days a week, all right, to figure out how well we really know

each other. If someone told you through me that they saw me arguing on the street with a stranger, what would you immediately assume I was arguing with him about.

Speaker 1

Oh my god, I already know.

Speaker 3

Okay, I'm picturing you on the intersection of Horal and Victoria Street in Melbourne.

Speaker 2

Is that the Hungry Jacks.

Speaker 1

That's a hard traffic area for foot traffic? You know, I have that sinicity. Don't get into it.

Speaker 3

You're arguing because someone has come up to you and they have a rude demeanor, but they've a cost.

Speaker 1

You've been accosted, okay, because that started. You didn't come up.

Speaker 3

To them, and they've like asked you about your fit. You're outfit, it's not bricking on this day, as they say, And they inadvertently offend you, but they don't realize that they did it, and you're kind of like, oh, like, why did you say that. You're not being inflammatory or sever You're just asking a simple question. Then they get their back up and now they're arguing with you.

Speaker 1

And now you're like, Okay, now now I'm gonna be serious. That's why. Remember I got into that girl was arguing with me.

Speaker 2

I wasn't I got into a fight. It's not what happened. A girl was arguing with me, and I was like, this is this what it's like to argue with me? Because I was just like there was nothing I could give back, and I was like one point, her friend was like, I'm so sorry about her, and I was like about who she's like my friend and I was like, oh, I'm past that and she was like I'm talking.

Speaker 1

To you actually like popped out from my heart.

Speaker 2

Anyway, if I saw through me arguing on the street with someone, I would assume that it was in defense of a friend.

Speaker 4

Oh.

Speaker 2

I would imagine a scenario where like a friend has been like accosted in like a bar or something, or like in a restaurant, someone said something really rude to a friend, and the friends in hysterics so they can't defend themselves, like let me.

Speaker 1

Handle it, let me handle it. Who was it? I could imagine that really clearly.

Speaker 3

And I'm like one of them flies that rubs its hand together and then march over. You know how the flies do the things they rub their hands.

Speaker 1

That's what it's giving. I'm ready to find you.

Speaker 2

Said, yeah, coose, babe, I don't raise my voice and nuance.

Speaker 1

I'm going to practice this year. Don't worry people, you haven't seen that best of me yet.

Speaker 3

It's flexing frims on Kita. We are playing none other than Mickey's music Quiz. It's my favorite part of my Friday work week. It's when Mickey brings us a theme, a whole bunch of songs and flexing.

Speaker 1

I have to fight to the death. I think I'm undefeated, Absolutely not. What's What's today? What's today? Two to one theme is it's twenty ten.

Speaker 5

You're at a pool party and the radio is playing only top forty songs.

Speaker 3

You're gonna yeah, Well, the story about a dating.

Speaker 1

Story where we've got this in the bag, let's play.

Speaker 4

Let's play just for context this week. I have seven songs. Great, so if you guys they'll be eebreaker. Yeah, there'll be a winner.

Speaker 1

And how do we I say for me and you say what you just say whatever? Say your name, say me me your name? Ready to buzz in? Yep me? Oh that was a day and night kid.

Speaker 5

Cuddy points to Free Indy, thank you, okay number two for me.

Speaker 1

One one.

Speaker 5

That's Bonker's Dizzy Rascal Artist is correct, not the song default to Flex.

Speaker 1

It's holiday but Dizzy Riscal Oh I thought it was Carvin Harris.

Speaker 4

Okay, number three?

Speaker 1

Who got that? Yeah? I don't know what anyway down?

Speaker 4

Okay, we were on for clarify clarity two points okay, number four.

Speaker 1

For me, Rihanna, Oh yeah, unfaithful default Flex Rehab by Rihanna, You savage. She's in the game. She's in the game, in the game.

Speaker 2

Briss Colin Wood our Grand Final.

Speaker 1

Got the first. Okay, number five, Oh yeah, you got it? The black Eyed Peas. Yes, No, I don't have it own.

Speaker 4

Maybe it goes back to flex, it goes half shut up.

Speaker 1

You saw my mouth moving, You saw my mouth. Surely that's a surely that's a tie. Surely that's she gave it away. She gave it away, She gave it away, and it was my turn. It was a red bottle. I want to keep it interesting too.

Speaker 5

But once you go yeah, okay, we've got two more left.

Speaker 1

We've got two more left the studio, Okay, where's my heart? Help me?

Speaker 3

Meka teenage dreams not the name of the shut up.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I thought that would have been too easy, But I don't know what either. Mecca, we are golden.
