Episode description

In this episode, we discuss a quote that may be attributed to Duke Ellington and/or Helen Keller. Since we are not 100% positive, we'll give them both credit.

There are two rules in life. #1 Never quit. #2 Don't forget rule #1.

  • Duke Ellington and Helen Keller

Patrick recounts how even though he wasn’t the best at his first career as a jeweler, he never gave up and instead kept learning to get better. Brian follows up by talking about a job experience that didn't pan out, and that there’s an important difference between quitting and changing.

The moral of the story being "don't give up." you may make decisions about careers or fall out of love with hobbies, and make changes in your life to get better results, but don't ever give up on the pursuits that really matter.

Thanks so much for listening, and we'll see you in 5 minutes!
