hey everybody this is Jacob with Fitness tested and today we'll be reviewing the Nike Pegasus premium so where does the pegas premium fall into Nike's new product line Nike introduced their new pillar system here they've got the supportive cushioning with the structure responsive cushioning with the Pegasus and maximum cushioning with the vomero line each of these lines they have the strong foundation with the icon models and then they go up to the plus and the premium model for each of

these um so Nike they've already released um the plus model for the Pegasus they're yet to release the Plus or premium model for the structure and the vomo um so this is the first uh pillar for Nike to be completed they released the pegas 41 in June the pegas Plus in August and now this year they release the Pegasus premium right at the top of the pillar so what are the features of the new Nike Pegasus premium we'll Dive Right In with the upper they've got the

circular knit upper it's a great fit fits true to size very breathable you can even see right through the upper here so you even got to color coordinate with the right socks probably going with a white pair or even like a an orange pair to to go with the Air Zoom unit there um very good heel lock from what I felt no heel slippage um just really comfortable uh I wouldn't say it's too narrow it's not too wide either just a solid fit and then the real the real hyped up

part of the shoe is the midsole um because they've done something with shoe no one's ever done the fulllength Air Zoom sculpted unit here um so they've got that as the middle piece at the top layer they've got zoomx which is found in a lot of their Super Shoes and just can be ultra responsive very springy and at the bottom layer they've got the react X this is the piece that's going to add a bit of that stability and structure to the shoe and it's also just

going to help to prolong the lifespan of the shoe as well so it's a very good base layer of this and then with the outs soole Nike is doing their classic um waffle waffle grip there on the bottom and very good outsole coverage is you know covering about you know 75% of the base here and you can even see the um kind of like the plastic plate here which is also adds to the stability and structure um with the Air Zoom unit cuz that is a big issue having all that you

know turn with the airom unit so they did have to add that plastic piece in there too just to make it um so you can more Corner go around the corners better and not you know roll an ankle which I think is a good um addition there all right so how did this how did this shoe Feel On The Run um one of the big speculations is the weight of the shoe which for my men's size 10 is 12 oz 3/4 of a pound which that's that's pretty heavy um honestly I I didn't feel the I

didn't feel the weight at all I I would say it's not too much of a factor for just what the shoes um meant to be used for which is just those daily cruising miles uh this is definitely not intended to be you know a long run shoe where you're really picking up the pace so um the weight wasn't a big deal breaker for me I would say I put this um shoe you know it's not going to be a super blast where it's going to be this ultra high performance Max cushion shoe it's going

to fall I would say between you know the glycerin Max and the super blast where you're really just going to get a lot more spring out of it than a glycerin um and obviously it's going to have the same weight of that glycerin Max um very similar in that fashion but then it's really just a fun fun shoe to run in um so it just feels like super springy and you really feel it just like popping you off each stride um and that's you know a lot of people they want the shoe to be like

super Blaster be ultra high performance and be used for any type of run but I think what Nike is really trying to do is just create fun shoes um and sure it comes at a price you know that with these being at like $210 but um I think for a lot of people $210 is worth it to just have a really fun shoe where you know you lace it up and you're just excited to go on a run just to have that like fun trampoline springy ride um so I really enjoy that aspect of the shoe so yeah this shoe

will ideally be just for your daily training it's not going to be um a Tempo type shoe or a workout shoe it's just a lace up for you know your everyday pavement pounding for sure um which I think is not a disappointment at all for this with it's just a great overall trainer and it really does fall into that responsive cushioning line because it's got much more spring than uh their Max cushioning line with the vomero um so it's a much more enjoyable shoe to

run in um and also with just about equal stack to the new vomero 18 as well thanks for watching look out for more reviews to come soon this shoe has been Fitness tested
