Episode description

As temperature records continue to be shattered the UN secretary general is urging world leaders to act to prevent worse. The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is one of the world's most recognized scientific bodies on global warming. Earlier this year it released a report highlighting the devastating impact of climate change, as well as detailing the cost-effective actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The IPCC reports provide crucial input into international negotiations on just how the world responds. Joining Julia to discuss is the new head of the IPCC, Jim Skea.
