Nicholas Papa is a lieutenant with the New Britain Fire Department in Connecticut, where he has served for more than 14 years. A second-generation firefighter, he entered the fire service in 2003, volunteering for a neighboring suburb until his appointment to the New Britain Fire Department.
Nick is the author of Coordinating Ventilation: Supporting Extinguishment & Survivability, and has been an FDIC classroom instructor since 2017. He is a technical panelist for the UL-FSRI Study on Coordinated Fire Attack in Acquired Structures. Lastly, he is the founder of Fireside Training, an organization that “empowers initiative through competency.”
