Episode description

The book of Revelation might be one of the most controversial books in the Bible. Millions of modern day Christians view this book with there "Left Behind" glasses. They say that these are events to come and that the rapture is what will launch this earth shattering event. But how did the early Christians view it? Did they believe these events where going to happen in the future or maybe they believed they were living through those events? Brian Godawa is the author of  "The Chronicles of the Apocalypse". In this series Brian takes us back in time before the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem and to the early persecution of the Church. Back in time to when the letter of John was being circulated. Brian has a conversation with us and helps us understand how the early church viewed this controversial and at times convoluted letter. This was an incredibly eye opening conversation. And as always remember to spread the fire.
