Assel is the co-founder and CEO at Paperstack. Her company provides working capital for e-commerce sellers who sell on platforms like Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and others. Originally she arrived in Canada from Kazakhstan by herself in 2012 with one suitcase and a lot of ambitions. Since then, she worked in finance and banking, where she helped thousands of customers get access to capital. 

During her time at banking, Assel realized that banks did not adapt to the online economy, and how much e-commerce founders struggled to get access to working capital. So she saw a massive opportunity and decided to solve this problem at Paperstack.
