Film School Janitors Review Films

Film School Janitorssoundcloud.com
Here’s a little story about a trio of janitors. Might have heard they worked at a well-known film school. They picked up a few things other than trash. They might hate your movie, or if drunk think it’s cool. Every now and then they get together for a lunch break. Trash talk some movie, or TV, or streaming. Rodney and Jason and Sean – they all clean halls. If you listen close you can hear kids screaming: Film School Janitors! 2024 Music "Aries Beats - Escape" is is under a Creative Commons (CC BY-SA 3.0) license. 2019 Music from YouTube Audio Library [Aka YAL] 2019 Music provided by RFM: https://youtu.be/8BkqPryqA5Q 2018 Music: https://www.instagram.com/jaelaredd/ NCU Theme Music from YouTube Audio Library [Aka YAL] High School Hero · Silent Partner: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iguumobmY_4 At your local top-tier film-and-TV school, these three lurk the halls… sweeping… scrubbing…mopping… What you drop, they pick up. But that’s not all they’re picking up. You see, after twenty years of cleaning up after film students, they’ve learned something – most movies are garbage. So whenever their lunch breaks align, they catch up on the latest Hollywood has to offer. In between taking out the trash, they’re talking trash. Rodney – Sean – Jason… They are The Film School Janitors

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023) Review

So after watching Guy Ritchie's FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH, the Film School Janitors decided to go back a couple films in his oeuvre to watch OPERATION FORTUNE: RUSE DE GUERRE! Have you heard of it? Maybe not! Is it similar to a specific Nicolas Cage film? Maybe not! What's it about? A group of spies use a movie star to infiltrate an arms dealer's world to recover a MacGuffin. Listen to the Janitors explain it all!

Apple TV+'s Fountain of Youth Review

No, Apple isn't releasing some new product called iFountain, but Apple TV+ (don't forget that plus!) did release Guy Ritchie's newest film. FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH. It stars Jim from "The Office" and Queen Amidala as siblings whose father was basically Indiana Jones, and don't worry, it's not anywhere near the best or the worst of that series. Listen to the Film School Janitors as they "dig" in (archaeology joke). Enjoy!

HBO Max's Mountainhead Review

The world is ending, and maybe (probably) the tech bros caused it. Is that what's happening in the real life, or in the HBO Max film MOUNTAINHEAD? A.I. is having a moment, and it ain't pretty. A couple of Film School Janitors review the film and the state of the world. Enjoy!

Netflix's Bad Thoughts (Season 1) Review

All four Film School Janitors watched the same thing! Well, one of them is watching it live. This is their review (and live experience) of comedian/podcaster Tom Segura's skit show BAD THOUGHTS. It's not a show for everybody, but this review might be...? The only way to know for sure is to listen and find out!

Disney+'s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Season 1) Review

The Film School Janitors finally got to the new MCU cartoon, YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN! It definitely isn't in the cinematic universe but it intertwines with someone from it (maybe?)... Heck, it's merely the latest retelling of the old web-head. Check it (and this review) our!

YANKED FROM THE TRASH BIN: Tiptoes (2002) Review

They don't make them like this anymore and that's probably a good thing! For the unfamiliar, TIPTOES is an infamous film - not because of its content, but because of one of its casting and/or acting choices. I won't get into here, but the Film School Janitors cover it in their review. Enjoy!

Hulu's Predator: Killer of Killers Review

Just like the titular creatures themselves, PREDATOR: KILLER OF KILLERS is the latest film in the series to sneak up on the Film School Janitors! This film is an animated collection of eras in which the PREDATORS have invaded Earth, and to say anymore here would defeat the point of making you listen!

Paddington in Peru Review

Well, the Film School Janitors might not have watched the first PADDINGTON film, but they definitely watched PADDINGTON 2. And now they have watched PADDINGTON IN PERU, which is part three, and this is their review!

JAY'S JUNK: The Fix (2024) Review

Welcome to the official debut of JAY'S JUNK, where Jay picks out the movie you've probably never heard of to review! Sure, he's done this before (and so has Sean), but now some are officially his! This first selection is a movie called THE FIX. It's a tale about our future in which the air is unbreathable and rich corporations sell us the solution... until some drug dealing thieves get involved. It's weird; it's convoluted; but is it good? JAY'S JUNK will get to the bottom of it!

Netflix's The Residence Review

The Film School Janitors watched the first season (only season?) of THE RESIDENCE on Netflix, which is about a murder in the White House and the people that work there. Not timely at all...

Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again (Season 1) Review

There was a point in time when it was another day, another Netflix Marvel show. Then there was another point when it was another day, another Disney+ Marvel show. Now we reached the curation period of the MCU, and DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN is the latest entry that the Film School Janitors reviewed. Listen now!

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Review

The Film School Janitors will self-destruct in five seconds! Well, at least it always feels that way. The Janitors discuss MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - THE FINAL RECKONING, as well as the other films in the M:I franchise, which are only M:I films. No HOBBS & SHAW-type spinoffs around these parts. (At least not yet...?) Can you believe this is the first M:I film they've reviewed?!

Netflix's The Six Triple Eight (2024) Review

If that old Kevin Costner post-apocalyptic movie taught us anything, it's that getting your mail is important. (The one about the postman, not the fish guy!) In World War II, nobody was getting their correspondences on the front lines or at home, and that's where THE SIX TRIPLE EIGHT stepped in. Based on a true story, directed by Tyler Perry, and watched by the Film School Janitors, this is their review!

Netflix's Havoc Review

Now on Netflix, HAVOC is exactly what you want HAVOC to be. It's an action-fueled thrill ride, and it has nothing to do with HVAC. The Film School Janitors watched the movie and reviewed it, and for the umpteenth time... the Janitors have nothing to do with HVAC either! So stop reporting heating and cooling problems to them!

Netflix's Don't Move (2024) Review

In what may seem like a concept without much legs, DON'T MOVIE is a fairly simple movie. If you've watched the movie on Netflix, that previous statement is either funny or inappropriate. The Film School Janitors may not discuss the merits of that statement, but they do dive into the world of the film about a serial killer and his prey he incapacitates. Listen to find out more!

The Film School Janitors watched Marvel's latest - THUNDERBOLTS* Or should we call them, *NEW AVENGERS? Or are we Cinema College Custodians? (A sign of things to come...?) No matter what - here's their review!

REMEMBERING VAL: Tombstone (1993) & Heat (1995) Reviews

The Film School Janitors finish up their REMEMBERING VAL mini-series by covering two of the most iconic films in Kilmer's lineup - TOMBSTONE and HEAT. Both are 90s classics, but do they hold up? Not "hold up" like a bank or a corral... oh, you get it. Rest in peace, Val Kilmer.

REMEMBERING VAL: Top Secret! (1984) & Real Genius (1985) Reviews

The Film School Janitors are taking some time to rewatch a few Val Kilmer films, and for this round they started with his first two films: TOP SECRET! and REAL GENIUS. His third film was TOP GUN, if you can believe it, and the Janitors already reviewed that!

Sinners (2025) Review

Did you go out and see SINNERS yet? The Film School Janitors certainly did! (Well, half of them certainly did!) This is their review of Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan's latest collaboration. Did you know that Michael B. Jordan got his start on TV's "All My Children"? It has nothing to do with this review, but it was something I just found out.

Smile 2 Review

Only two of the Film School Janitors could handle watching SMILE 2, and the thing they were most grateful for was that the studio didn't lamely name it SMILE TOO. Otherwise, they completely disagreed about the movie. Listen to find out why!

Hulu's Paradise (Season 1) Review

How long does it take for the wheels to fall off the Film School Janitors' review of the first season of PARADISE? Not long at all, but they quickly get it back on track and discuss the highs and the lows (and the silos) of it all. If you haven't watched the show yet and don't want spoilers, beware! But if spoilers are your kind of thing, dive right in!

Black Bag (2025) Review

Could the Film School Janitors went full spoilers while reviewing BLACK BAG? Of course they could have, BUT THEY DON'T! That usually means they want you to watch it first - but is it because they liked it, or not? You'll have to listen to find out.

MIXING BLEACH AND AMMONIA: Drop (2025) & Trap (2024) Reviews

When does a filmmaker become a brand? That's what the Film School Janitors (try to) discuss while reviewing Christopher Landon's latest, DROP, as well as RECYCLE REVIEWING M. Night Shyamalan's TRAP. Besides both having four-letter titles with two of the same letters in the same spots, there are some structural and tonal similarities. Not too many, though, otherwise this wouldn't be MIXING BLEACH AND AMMONIA. Make sure your room is well ventilated...

YANKED FROM THE TRASH BIN: Zombeavers (2015) Review

The Film School Janitors wouldn't be who they are if they didn't watch movies like ZOMBEAVERS. Why it took so long to get to it is the better question. What it's about shouldn't be a question at all...

Peacock's The Day of the Jackal (Season 1) Review

I know what you're thinking - Peacock has something to watch and the Film School Janitors watched it! Based on the book, which became a 70's thriller and a 90's action-er, THE DAY OF THE JACKAL exists again... this time as a TV show. Is it worth your time (and effort to figure out how to get Peacock)? Listen to find out!

MIXING BLEACH AND AMMONIA: Kraven the Hunter & Venom: The Last Dance Review

This might not be the bleachiest and ammonia-est mix of films, but the Film School Janitors tackle the final two entries in the SONY SPIDER-MAN UNIVERSE which sadly does not feature Spider-Man. They discuss what worked and what didn't in KRAVEN THE HUNTER and VENOM: THE LAST DANCE!
